Taking off the away support and the fact that it was the first game of the season, looks like we could be in the 13-14K bracket again this year

Really disappointing. How many do you think will make the trip to Brum? Anywhere near the 6000 Leicester brought today?

Terrible support but who can blame them, we are in a mess and it is only the die hard nutter like me and the rest of us that will turn up each week.
We could drop to around 10-11k quite a few times this year with an average of 14-15k for the whole attendance. The only thing that will change peoples minds is new signings and good results on the pitch.

I could nearly count on my fingers the crowd in the Telegraph stand. Where the hell was everybody?? Or has everybody come over to block 15/16

Dreadful turn-out, and shockingly quiet. All we managed by way of an atmosphere was a pre-pubescent squawk about Leicester fans being 'interbred' by the logic of their parents being gender-ambiguous. Absolutely humiliating.

To be honest, I'm not really sure what else people were expecting? Were in the midst of financial meltdown, are (apparently) the only team in England not to have brought in a new outfield player during the off-season and are a struggling Championship side. To expect a near sell out is crazy. 21k in light of the circumstances is more than I expected.

I think a few fans are expecting too much. The fact over 14,000 of us lot wanted to go and watch a game surrounded in negativity at the moment is a credit to us.

21,000 was about what I thought but again why is it the same blocks making all the noise ?

Think people are forgetting, kick off this year was the SIXTH AUGUST. A much earlier start than usual. People on holiday has to be a factor too. That along with the apathy, the recession and CCFC's long record of total abject failure all contribute.

Was nearly 15,000 City fans here today. surprised we had that many to be honest.

It's ridiculous to slag off those who didn't bother to go. I support the City and I was there, but if people decide not to go why should they be slagged off?

SISU have given up on the club, that much is obvious. Not one single outfield signing has been made, so what incentive is there to the floating fans to make the effort? The sooner this shower are gone the better.

Not buying the SISU mess being valid reason for fans staying away.

The club needs its fans more than ever, 14/15k for an opening day of season, against a local rival (in most peoples eyes) is borderline terrible.

Sub 10k during the season is almost certainty based on that.

Totally agree with you BUT who in their right mind would come in to replace them?

Therein lies the problem, there is no guarantee that even if we did have new owners/investors come in, it doesn't guarantee anything. I will say though it would probably clear the huge amount of negativity and apathy currently surrounding the club.

w should never have left highfield road, it was a brilliant place full of real atmosphere ........ cant remember seeing us dancing 4 nil down at the shitRicoh. i have to be honest i hate the ricoh, especially the LLoyds stand ... it kills the atmospher that stand, they need to start again on that one. Plus it s embarrasing seeing away fans looking at the ground when they get here and wondering what are we doing with such a geat ground. sort of leads me onto another subject........ does anyone else wonder why it is the investors in Leicester chose leicester and not us? im just wondering because with such brilliant facilities surely we were a a more attractive business investment? whats happening there?

When will City learn they will not start to fill that ground until they do 10 pounds a person per game, 2 adults 2 children 40 quid instead of on the day 70 to 80 quid. we have to act like dealers and get fans hooked .!! then up the ticket price. SISU have no idea

I also believe we are the only champ club that charges more on matchday:/

I am sorry but I just think SISU were not our saviours, more like they are pulling our gold teeth out whilst we slowly die.

The crowds will not come...you cannot just keep on paying watching a team of defensive midfielders (passing sideways and back) managed by a club scout pretending its good, that is why 21k

You make a good point Macca but tbf the guys in block 15 were excellent and worth another 10k on the gate so we probably don't need any more.

this has been proved Hartlepool reduced their season ticket to about 100 quid and average gate of last season of 1200 has got over 4000 season ticket holders this year, better atmosphere and more money ...... not rocket science is it but I,m no business consultant on the board

Planks of wood in charge, bums on seats equals more sheckals in their miserly pockets. Stands to reason. Slash ticket prices, get the kids hooked.

past promotions on tickets have shown it simply doesn't work

halving the ticket price just does not increase the gate

Wonder if we go down what the ticket prices'll be, if they stay like this then attendances will be like palace in the fa cup, that was shite.

The 21k included 8k season ticket holders, we thought you had 10k in the ground.

Not wuming, just confused as to why you think 15k cov fans actually went through the turnstiles today.

I doubt there was 2k Leicester fans in the home ends?

Tesco stand 9k?
Telegraph 3-4k although didn't look it,
Lloyds pharmacy 2k odd

*In some peoples eyes, however I think moving to the shitty ricoh ruined this club!
