Players have left after a couple of months before for being homesick - this is just getting dumber by the minute.

If he's homesick why is it being touted that he may sign for another English club?

So if he was aware of the situation as you say and he was coming into it with eyes wide open, what was it that made him change his mind? What we see as fans on the surface is one thing but as we all know, very different things happen behind closed doors. Don't believe for a single second that he was homesick as he was here for a while before he signed.

He changed his mind as he wanted to go back to his home country, maybe he thought he could get over his homesickness but then realised he couldn't.

Listen I'm all for having a go at the owners but people in this thread aren't making sense.

If he signs for another English club within the next 12 months then I'll acknowledge something else was probably wrong behind the scenes.

Although I think the rumours are bull, why would we agree to terminate his contract if clubs from a higher league are interested in him and he has 18 months on his contract?

Because he might have been tapped up, you can't call that a conspiracy theory as it happens all the time. Rumours are only bull when they turn out not to be true, but they always start somewhere.

If it was indeed home sickness, I would have thought any agreement to terminate his contract with us would have involved him signing a compromise agreement.

In that agreement would surely have been a clause preventing him from signing for any non-Dutch club for what would have been the duration of his ccfc contract (18 months).

You would have thought so, if he does sign for somebody else then he gets an invoice!
