Oldham 1 - 2 MK Dons
Colchester 0 - 1 Sheff Utd
Swindon 1 - 1 Crawley
Stevenage 1 - 0 Crewe
Preston 3 - 3 Rotherham

Sheffield United gone above us moving us down to 14th. The 5 teams below us are all within 3 points, which is a little scary. Still 5 points above relegation. Time to start picking up some points.

Not sure it would be a miracle. We are not one of the 4 worst teams. Its the same team, other than Leon Clarke, that was one of the best teams in the league in the first half of the season..... plus a few additions.

Agreed, we're actually 10 points better as a team than the the league table suggests, although we have lost a bit of form over the last 2 months.

Please keep this one thread on football. There are plenty of other threads to talk about off field stuff and slag each other off.

One football thread on a football forum would be nice.

We will not be relegated -- three more wins and that is it

Callum Wilson, Fonz and Chuba will fire us back up the league. We had none at the weekend. Chuba and Petrasso have only just joined and Fonz has only played one game as well. I'm not worrying about relegation yet. Still have games in hand too.

We won't get relegated, anyone who thinks we will are drama queens. A couple of wins and we will be back in comfortable mid table

We won't get relegated if our results improve. If they don't we will be dragged into the relegation zone quite quickly. We have to play a lot of the clubs near the bottom and have been losing to them recently. We have been leaking goals as usual but not scoring. We are relying on Wilson to score goals after being out injured for a couple of months.

We are only 5 points off the bottom 4. The teams at the bottom are picking up points. Drama queens? No. Just being realistic. I am not saying we will get relegated, but only a fool would say we are safe.

we have gone through a patch with no strikers, the lack of resources people allude to is exactly the same minus one player. Wilson back and loan signings will keep us afloat (only just). It is a shame we have dropped line a stone (AGAIN!) but I guess this season was never about the football......

Plenty of teams over the years have said they are too good to go down and have gone down. Lots of teams on paper are a much better team than their rivals. Unfortunately the game isn't played on paper.

I don't think we will go down either, but simply saying there are 4 worse teams than us just doesn't cut it I'm afraid. We're getting to the time of the season where a lot of it comes down to spirit and fight and desire and fighting and battling for every ball.

Do we have that? Couldn't say. as I haven's seen us play this year, but we should indeed be looking at the reality of what is over our shoulder.

All Coventry fans will be worried about relegation, but it's now out our hands.
SP will need to do a miracle with the resources we have at our disposal.

A miracle? Out of our hands?

Bollocks.

Edit: Just worked out you probably mean out of the fans hands, but I'm still calling bollocks on a miracle.

It's all in our hands we are going to have grind out results and fight for every ball, that's what being in League 1 is all about, we can get out of this with Pressley's style of play, our striker shortage was a concern, but Callum Wilson came through 45 minutes yesterday and Delfounseo should be fit, with Akpom also available..

Can see our season going either way to be honest. But let's hope we are through the worst. Had a bad spell with injuries and not much luck with the new players either.

Seem to be a few bodies coming back now, but we need to turn it round quickly.

As a defensive unit we are a disaster. That may be our downfall. There is no steel in midfield, the games I've seen we've looked frail. To me we look like Gary McCallister's team from ten years ago, kids and cast offs mostly. And that attempt at a passing game. He had his hands tied just like Pressley. And teams would bypass us, we'd pass it around. They would launch it and bish, bash, bosh, in the net. We are dropping like a stone. It'll be close.

Have you been to the last few games ?

Can't defend, can't pass and the biggest problem .... can't score.

Not having a fit striker has been a massive part of the highlighted comment.

Mostly good news really
Stevenage beating Crewe is a very good result for us.
MKDons Beating Oldham is a good result for us.
Sheffield Utd beating Colchester is kinda a wash, a draw would have probably been preferable
Swidon Crawley Draw isn't perfect but only off by a point.
Preston Rotherham is irrelevant.

Can't ask for too much more than that.

We just have to beat Shrewsbury, do so and it doesn't really look scary anymore, lose and we are right in the relegation fight.

Agree ..... but this is normal.
I suspect SP it not being supported by SISU and you can see the diplomacy of the bloke as he changes his stance from no loans to loans are okay.
However, he still manages to put a positive on it. If ever he left we will not survive in this division and maybe as a club.

I win £1600 if we get relegated so I'm obviously not that positive (though my preference is still for us to stay up), I've never actually thought we would get relegated this season just the chance of it was alot higher than the bookie odds.

Shrewsbury though are kinda dreadful and if it weren't for a red card for notts county at last weekend they'd have lost 6, drawn 2 of there last 8. So we really should (and really have to) win, that puts us on 40 points and games in hand and we should be good from there.

Lose at Shrewsbury though and it's going to get real scary, real fast.

Ok I'll put my neck on the line...WE'RE SAFE...more than. Every team has a slump in the season and we're having ours. To judge our true form, add 10 points!

Adding 10 points gives our 'true' position. Our true current form is a different thing altogether. We are in very poor form at present.

We all knew this poor form was going to come at some point. A squad our size and reliant on two very good goalscorers was never going to seriously mount a play off challenge when starting the season on -10.

I'll stick by what I said at the start of the season, staying up this year would be considered a good season for me.

We have got 5 points in the last 7 league games, and this is including the 3 points against Bristol where we were lucky to get away with the win.

as for the 'were too good to go down' arguement, thats nonsence, if your in the bottom four you are there for a bloody good reason!
