So in summary.

Agree. Who we play and in what division is irrelevant to me. Can understand why less passionate fans would feel differently. Only the venue of our home games affects my decision to attend...

Thing is, it started as a CCFC project, then 50/50, then all council. Everyone assumed it would quickly go back to 50/50 but the club didn't want it.
Like I say, what's gone is gone to some extent. I can make guesses based on my understanding, and you can do the same, but ultimately we won't know the exact details of if anyone was ripped off or not then. As others have said £1.2m/year for a Championship or Premiership team in a world class venue isn't that bad. And certainly less than the interest on a lesser stadium. I don't agree with the idea that the council were "bleeding them dry", I'm just saying, it takes two to tango and it's a bit rich to sign a deal then claim it's a bad deal.
And again, all of this is moot as ACL offered improved terms, in fact better terms than Fisher thought he would get, before Sisu broke the lease. We could easily be sitting here on £150k/year rent is the club wanted it.
The rent wasn't appropriate for where we were, but it also wasn't the reason we were there.

I do, he's got previous with dodgy and disliked boards and is all about proving you can manage without breaking the bank.

Another Ditty that I'm curious about ,what does the £1.18M. to Ticketus represent ? One Season ,part of season ,across two seasons?
What were the Final years ST sales 4.5K? year before 7.5-8K.? What would their Interest rate be and given the level of Loss they were funding why not STs ,It may have kept £300-£400K. within the Club?

In other news...QPR reported today that they're in £130m of debt.
Last season their wage bill was £80m...more than the champions league runners up. Mental.

So is it fair to say that If we stay in Northampton for 3-4 years with the average crowd being similar to this year and with the building of a new stadium the debt/loan/goodwill will be in the region of £100 million.
So will the new ground make enough money to pay the interest on monies owed etc??
How much would the club be worth then if a new buyer was sought?
Will the fans come flocking back? (after all we are a fickle lot who don't care)

We have no clue about the cost of the stadium or it's financing. Could be as little as £10m put in in debt or £30m. And no idea of the interest rates (although even £10m at the rates we're borrowing from ARVO would be as much as the old Ricoh rent).
I'd be amazed if we're in L1 in 3 years at Sixfields and crowds are still what they are. I'd expect sub-2000 consistently with an average around 1500. I'd also expect us to be in L2 by then.

Not enough. Overheads and interest alone will put us in a loss of the millions. Any player wages spent will just put us further under.

Soton had a pretty successful Pompey for competition during the time looked at - & the population of Birmingham & Coventry is probably significantly greater than the whole of Hampshire & IOW...which have relatively poor transport links too.

I can't think of any business that would keep going with those worsening figures, and that's before the sixfields boycott.
Anything other than a football club would have been would up by now. Almost the fact we have no assets to liquidise is probably saving us.
I say saving us, because we're on life support machine. The soul is still in there somewhere, there is a feint heart beat. But every thing we know and love is gone, just literally being kept alive for the sake of it now.

They are not keeping us going because we are a football club. They never took us over because we are a football club. They took us over because they thought they would be able to make a lot of money by taking over our football club. And they will keep us going whilst there is a chance of making money out of our club. It is all down to ownership of the Ricoh. Personally I am not sure what would be the best outcome. What would they do with the Ricoh if they managed to get it on the cheap? It looks as though it would be owned by one of the offshoots of SISU that money is owed to. So whatever happens to our club it would never have it's own stadium again unless we got a mega rich owner come in. The council will never help us again. If they fail to get the stadium what will happen to our club? But at least whatever would happen to our club we would always have somewhere to play.....even if we have to start again.
I am one of the fickle fans some have been going on about. I have been following our club for over 30 years. This is including the 80's when we hardly took anyone to away games and at home it wasn't too unusual to have about 8k. The buzz has gone. Wasn't even interested in going to the Arsenal game. Fickle? No. Have finally had enough. I will be back. Will still do the occasional game. But I don't have the buzz that normally makes me spend a few k each season following our club.
After seeing what OSB has deciphered from the figures released I am left to hope we will have a club this time next year. But I will be there if we have to start again.

Actually, they did take us over because we are a football club. This was Ranson's project and vision even if we were not his first choice. He wanted a football club.
