Statement Issued
The Sky Blue Trust have issued the following statement:
The Sky Blue Trust will remain open to discussing, in a transparent and constructive manner, a solution to the problems at Coventry City FC. As has always been the case the Trust will seek to engage with all stakeholders in the dispute.

Allegations of conspiracy directed at the Trust are untrue, scurrilous and extremely unhelpful, serving only to deflect attention from the real issues at the Club.
Trust members and the fans in general require answers to many questions regarding the finances, the future of CCFC and a return to Coventry. We all eagerly await a full, clear and proper response to those concerns.

For clarity the aims of The Sky Blue Trust remain:

-To build and maintain membership of the Trust.

-To return the team to playing in Coventry.
-To secure supporter involvement in the ownership and management of the club

great response.

May I suggest we look to ask the Council some of those questions, particularly "what is the contract on offer for CCFC to return to Ricoh next season. ?"

That would have to go to ACL I think. I think they've already said £150K a year but it can't hurt to get it confirmed that the offer is still available to SISU.

Really, I would love that confirmed ?

So, a 1 year rolling contract with rent agreed at £150k, which is some £20k a year LESS than Northampton ?

If that was confirmed, surely it would be enough for many of the current home supporters to realise where the problem lies and that we collectively need to do something.

Also, what have the FL said about this ?

This is surely the story the CT should be running with ?

I can't say that I am a SBT advocate, as I do not feel that they have been any where near active or stringent enough in their actions. However I do applaud those that stand up and do something. SBT and a small number of individuals are to be recognised for representing the unheard voice of the bulk of Sky Blues fans.
Mark Labovitch has behaved in a deplorable manner, he has once again placed a cancerous blemish of the once proud face of CCFC.

He consistently makes SISU look incredibly stupid. An additional attribute that Seppela & Fisher could do without adding to the current attributes of unethical, immoral and incompetent.

Although I disagree with the way SISU have been dicks they should just come out and say what they think they know. They clearly have an issue with certain people, surely if they at least said to the Trust their reasons why they won't deal with certain people the trust can decide on how to act upon it?

I may be getting the offers mixed up but I think the latest offer was of free for the rest of this season then £150K for the next two seasons and then we move into our new ground, well according to SISU anyway.

That offer was made through the FL I think after Labovich's 'I can't hear you' rubbish when ACL offer a £150K a season 10 year rolling deal.

Maybe they can't do that as there isn't a genuine reason and it's more a case of they want certain people off the SBT as they feel others are more sympathetic to SISU's version of events.

great, but that was months ago. We need a ACL response to what is on the table for the 2014/15 season. CT / Trust need to publish this offer and use it to ask "WHY", if there is no reason at all why we are in Northampton. Clearly SISU are not going to accept a 10 year deal, so has that been revised ?

For them to keep going on about it, there must be something behind it with certain people. (I am not saying what they say is true, but there must be some "issue")

In the minutes of a meeting months ago Steve also made a comment saying how things had the Trust were changing.

its a big question. That was nearly a year ago now and no-one seems to have asked ACL, or they have certainly gone very queit about what the deal is.

No they haven't see my answer above, the last offer was made early in January.

matchday costs of £12,316 per match.

Do we pay any matchday costs at Sixfields ?

You didn't read my answer, I made it clear the Sixfields fee is ~200K, the Ricoh fee is ~£400K.. ON EQUIVALENT TERMS

Do the math bud! :D

That is an old article, the last offer was detailed on the SBT site, it isn't really £150K it is £400K inclusive of all utility charges etc, (http://www.skybluetrust.co.uk/index.php?start=9 see A5) i.e. about twice the figure at Sixfields, but then it is for a 32K capacity stadium not a 7K capacity stadium.

When you compare the offer at Sixfields with the offer at the Ricoh I'm not sure you're comparing like with like. At Sixfields we are secondary tenants, we turn up 20 something days a year to use the ground for a few hours. At the Ricoh we are primary tenantswith first call on all dates (as per the league requirements) and also have, or had, office and retail space in use all year round.

So, at Ricoh for next season it would be £150k rent + (£12k x 23 match day costs) =£426k in total

At Sixfields its roughly £200k all in ?. At a quoted £170k a seaosn rent, does that mean match days costs are approx £1k a game at Sixfields ?

It's an odd arguement that the Ricoh should be the same cost as Sixfields. I'm sure if you wanted to hire a ground and Sphinx and the Ricoh both quoted you the same rate you'd think it was a bit odd given that one is obviously a much better facility than the other.

agreed, but I am tryinmg to understand how much difference there is. I cant get my head around why the match days costs would be so different. Only thing that would make sense is that more people = more costs, but in that case, it would also = more income !

Could it be that the reason that SISU keep going on about it is to divert attention from all of the obvious questions about the accounts?

If the SBT insisted that the board of CCFC were changed, because they couldn't trust (say) Fisher and Labovitch, what do you think SISU would say?

The simple fact is that if the club want to build bridges with the Trust (and therefore a large proportion of the fans), they need to stop all of this bollocks. Trust officials are elected - it isn't for SISU to say who should be in or out, that's for the SBT membership.

also, it shouldnt cost the same, as it would bring in a lot more income that Sixfields. Millions in fact !

Weren't SISU going on about it months ago before the accounts even came out when they were calling them Lions led by Donkeys?

A breakdown of management costs would be good too, what the cost price is, what the club would be charged.

Q5. What do match day expenses cover? Please define the costs involved?

A5. Match-day costs include, contributions towards the groundsman ( previously employed by the club and now by ACL), the pitch treatments, the equipment to maintain the pitch, a contribution towards match-day utilities, hygiene, maintenance staff, waste disposal, statutory compliance, match-day stadium safety and control room management. The proposal excluded police, West Midlands Ambulance, St Johns Ambulance, medical personnel, ticketing staff, stewards as these remain an obligation of the football club, which has always been the case, and would be a requirement at any other venue. Costs for the remainder of 13/14 season would equate to £8,470 per match and for 14/15 and 15/16 seasons £12,316 per match.

Yeah as I said, the Ricoh is 32K capacity and Sixfields is 7K.

Personally I think ACL made a mistake to put a figure calculated on a different basis to Sixfields in a media release, not that the basis on which Sixfields is rented is actually published and all anyone has to go on is TF's response to the last ACL offer, I've heard several figures bandied about for the deal at Sixfields, ranging from £170K to £240K, no idea which if any of them is accurate.
