We were poor last season when he first came in and Clarke got injured & 10 point deduction.

He has only had 4 really good months when you look at results. Surprised he isn't getting a lot more stick to be honest.
Really hope sisu don't get an itchy trigger finger as we edge towards relegation. We need a bit of consistency in the managers position if nothing else.
I bet he isn't too thrilled with the way his career has turned out, either.

Oh god, he actually winces at the end of that video!
Not surpised the win aerage is low - when he joined the season was tailing off and we were clearly going to end mid-table, the players sensed that and results showed this. Same is happening this season. Wouldn't blame him forthat, blame the owners for inflicting two consecutive ten point penalties on the team.
I for one support SP. I think he deserves a lot of credit for his apparent commitment to the cause, using thin resources and a largely youthful squad to even keep us competitve. I think a club keeping consistency in the manager would be better for current and future players. I think SP tries to demand a lot out of the players, but I think that he places high confidence in their ability to rise to their full potential.
Keeping SP long term can only strenghten the squad as there is a consistent training vision, and a more cohesive "style" of play can develop.

I believe that he is more than capable of seeing the job through.
"the Blue Square Premier?"...............Is that not more to do however with the constraints which have been placed on him by our wonderful owners rather than a reflection of his abilities?
there is also the question of would we have got off the starting blocks so fast if we started on 0. could have worked either way.
The table may lie, but does pressleys win record ?
38% win record in League One.
Frustrating thing is we'll never know for sure.
You could argue he might have had a higher win percentage if we were at the Ricoh and on less of a shoestring budget.

Pressley is here for the long term. The academy status is the most important vision for the future and at least give credit to SISU for recognising that after all the previous mistakes? He is their man for that very purpose. there will be more Callum Wilson's coming through. We will not be relegated.
Like David Moyes in the longer term he will develop the club from the grass roots up and we will end up stronger for it and in a better place than for many years. It's just such a shame the stadium issues are or could potentially be totally damaging to this philosophy.

Falkirk are in pretty much the same position as when Pressley left as far as I can seeTrue but historically, have Cov teams have hardly been inspired to herculean feats at the ricoh! To my mind a manager can only be judged on:
1) Results
2) Signings
3) Fitness (via training regimes)
4) Tactics
5) Formations
6) Substitutions
7) Team morale
Ultimately all of these traits are measurable, and none really affected by a points deduction! Finances maybe - points deduction no way! As others have said, the points deduction could have a +ve effect in that it allowed the team to achieve a blitz never say die attitude. And LC scoring for fun could have brought in complacency - we just will never know for sure!
Any manager should stand or fall on the first 6 points, and the 7th is a result of those 6 points. Is Pressley the best possible manager available? Clearly not, as his replacement at Falkirk is doing better with the same resources!
Maybe the state of the clubs when he left & now might change that opinion! He was signed by city 8th mar (IIRC), so from www.statto.com 9 Mar 2013 Pd 27 W 10 D 7 L 10 GF 38 GA 39 GD -1 Pts 37 League Pos 5th Points off top of table 18 8 mar 2014 Pd 27 W 13 D 8 L 6 GF 42 GA 23 GD +19 Pts 47 League Pos 3rd Points off top of table 2 In other words, when Pressley left Falkirk, the possibility of getting promoted was pretty remote. 12 months later, they were within 2 points of top! Based on this, I genuinely fail to see how they are pretty much the same! Could you please tell me how you come to that conclusion as I see it the table shows a marked improvement for FalkirkFalkirk are in pretty much the same position as when Pressley left as far as I can see

please explain why people on here always bring up Andy Thorn ?, we have had 2 stand in managers and Robbins since then ?Could you not have said the same about Andy Thorn?
