Am I the only one to cringe when I read the CT headline: 'Big match preview: Coventry City v Stevenage'?

A 'Big match' for me would be El Classico, or last night's Manchester derby, or a play-off final, certainly not a bottom of league 1 match, with an expected crowd of less than 2000, played 35 miles away from the 'home' team's location.

'Big match' my arse.

'Division Three relegation 6-pointer' would be more appropriate.

It's a big match for Coventry City, the local team.

Or are you just pointing out that you're a fairweather type who is much happier sat on the sofa watching Sky Sports?

And no, I'm not a 'fairweather type who is much happier sat on the sofa watching Sky Sports' - I've followed CCFC since the 60s, home and away, a season ticket holder, and I've never subscribed to Sky Sports either!

It's not a 'Big match' for me anymore though, nor the other four ex-s/ticket holders that I'll be teaching tonight. I even used to postpone my classes if CCFC were at home so we could attend.

1-2 loss tonight. Just being realistic on current form. Defence is shite!

Stevenage are scoring goals. We are letting goals in. We will be lucky to keep it down to 2.

Our current form is shit and they are doing well so its going to be tough

So well that they are bottom of the league?

They had picked up lately, lets see how they react from throwing away a 2-0 lead and losing 3-2 in the last 10 minutes before we write off our chances tonight. That could have took the wind out of their sails

It is a fair shout that at some point tonight Clive Eakin will think we are playing someone other than the team we are actually playing

They've won one in 5

Whenever someone choses an odd number like 5 or 7 to describe football form, you can bet your ass the previous game went against what they were wanting to say. Lets have a look, yep they won 6 games ago.

8 is the standard for comparing form

Stevenage points per game last 8 - 1.5
Coventry points per game last 8 - 0.625

I'm still confident we can beat them because I think we are the more talented team, but don't try and suggest their form is bad because it really isn't.

FULL #CCFC side: Murphy (GK), Adams, Seaborne, J. Clarke Webster, Willis, Robinson, Fleck, Moussa, Delfouneso, Wilson

SUBS for #CCFC: Burge (GK), Christie, Thomas, Baker, Eccleston, Marshall, Haynes

So Thomas dropped, like most thought :)

Interesting about Christie, Clarke at right Back? We have 5 defenders?

I'm more concerned at the 2 centre backs.

Clarke right mid? He played leftside a couple of times this season.

Can't imagine playing Willis or Clarke as a wingback?
