First concerts for 30 years, is she a musical icon as some suggest ?For me i quite liked her and this song..,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xckBwPdo1c
I used to like her when she was at the height of her fame but I think now, too many artists / groups / bands are trying this new "comeback" thing. It just doesn't work for me. They should just accept that they have had their day and now it's time for music to move on, whether you like the style of music or not.
Not so sure Houch. I saw The Human League at the Godiva Festival about 3 years ago and though they were fat and bald (and that was just the girls), if you closed your eyes you were transported back to 1981. They were excellent.
Same happened when I saw an old punk band 999. They looked like geriatrics, but the sound was as good as it ever was.
That's because they were experienced at what they do. I saw black sabbath last year and musically it was on the nail.
Problem here is Kate bush only toured once in the late 70's and hated the experience. She never repeated it and has been a virtual recluse for 30 years. Musically she was very good but one of her more recent albums was rather eccentric. One song just a recording of birdsong and another singing about a washing machine.
I don't get the motive and I fear the worst.
When I saw the thread subject I thought maybe we'd got her in on loan at CB. We could do with her wuthering height at the back..
Poor, very poor. "Don't Give Up" the day job.
