I'll actually ask as I don't know but...

What deal were Crystal Palace lumbered with when Dowie took them up?

I know not owning the ground crippled Jordan in the end, but... what was their rental deal?

I do know that the ground owners @ Palace entered admin at the same time as the Club and believe there was a marriage of the two as a result .

Can you name any club ever been promoted to the premier without pie money?

And how many can you let us know about that got promoted that were ruined by a hedge fund or playing 35 miles from home? Or with home gates of 1,600?

I could be wrong but all half of ACL gets you is 50% of paying off the mortgage. They do t make any money and you don't own the area.

I'd like to know what exactly you would get as well. City sold off rights to half the income, but since then ACL have sold the catering to Compass or whoever, so what would they get?

At the very least they'd get a say in the direction of the business, which if you listen to Sisu is what they really want, they just want to run a really good stadium.

if this "warm up court case thread" is anything to go by, the thread covering the JR is going to be a behemoth!

Can you name any team that's been promoted from the 3rd division while playing home games 35miles away to crowds of less than 2000. Let's face it. My question is the more relevant. So let's discuss that first.

Well not us obviously we have lost so many games because of a whistle......:thinking about: Oh I forgot we won that one.

And how many succeeded with an annoying bloke in the stands blowing a feckin whistle all game....

And Grendull will be w@nking each time something comes out when something might be revealed that might come out for the good of SISU

God I hope Andy Thorn and blame doesn't gets mentioned in the same sentence by a sisu qc. Grendull will have a heart attack with excitement.

Yes, he is painful to read sometimes (though not nearly as bad as he was 12 months ago).

I have him on 'ignore' because life's too short, however when people quote him I can read his posts.

It appears he thought this case was all irrelevant, until the mention of a council officer allegedly/possibly misleading a Higgs trustee over whether Sisu had been informed about restructuring ACL's YB mortgage.

At that point it appears he developed a fun-sized fatty, and has been chipping in to this thread with typical and regular inanity.

That was years later.

You Sure .

From Wiki.....

During the close season CPFC 2010, a consortium consisting of several wealthy fans successfully negotiated the purchase of the club. Led by Steve Parish, the vocal representative for a consortium of four that included Jeremy Hosking and Martin Long. Crucially, CPFC 2010 also secured the freehold of the ground, the consortium paying tribute to a fans' campaign which helped pressure Lloyds Bank into selling the ground back to the club.

So how many teams have been promoted from the third tier playing their home games 35miles from home in front of crowds less than 2000. A rough number will be fine.

Yes but if they had found against a CHARITY he would have said it is all relevant.

Lets see what he says about the JR Thread once one side or the other is winning.

Sisu on Top will be told you so Cream,Cream,Cream
CCC on top well what a load of shit.

I for one blame Sisu but will gladly admit I am wrong if it comes out that way in court.

Come on Grendull won't answer that one

The question is as absurd as the fool who posted it, so OK how many clubs have been promoted from that Division who have had a player called Callum Wilson playing for them? It is an irrelevant remark, no club without full access to revenues has ever succeeded -- clubs who have had periods of instability and been moved away from its base have - as long as they return and get full revenue access -- e.g. Brighton.

I've seen you use this line before - as if multiple people pointing out the various flaws in your ridiculous worldview constitutes "the pack descending"....but I'm sure you can rescue yourself by changing the subject from your flawed argument...oh wait, you've done so already!

Talk about dramatising things - this is a web forum mate, not life and death. it's not a pub car park with a bunch of blokes kicking you whilst your helpless on the ground.

Also the correct grammar is "a pack of wolves is descending on me..." - the verb is describing a singular noun - "the pack"

It seems the irony is lost on you. I would criticise Astute and Dongle for the incorrect use of the grammar as this is a quote from them aimed at anyone poster who challenges the status quo and citicises a poster that shares their belief. Basically I am taking the piss.

I'm down in London now so no updates tomorrow but I'll try and find out if anything happens that doesn't appear here. I'm sure Simon G (Ali's brother) will be keeping Twitter up to date.

Apparently there might be a few more fun things to come out tomorrow.

Thanks to you guys for all of the queries and feedback...try not to get too pissed off with each other. Try and work out the things that unite rather than divide us.

Thank you for your efforts -- it has been very much appreciated.

Remember though -- on here ignore any facts -- stick to the mantra that the council is King --or expect to go the same way as Les Reid etc.

I think you may have an internet forum problem, did you know lack of physical activity is associated with a range of diseases from diabetes and heart attacks?

Consider a break from the realm of your alter ego, is the internet world really worth reading and writing regurgitated topics or pointless debates?

Have a break..

It is an irrelevant remark, no club without full access to revenues has ever succeeded -- clubs who have had periods of instability and been moved away from its base have - as long as they return and get full revenue access -- e.g. Brighton.

Actually 3 or 4 people asked the same question in response, and it is more pertinent. The owners of the club try to blow smoke onto others to blame their for their catastrophic mismanagement of this football club. People like you make things worse by buying into the "it's everyone else's fault" - SISU go on the attack when udner pressure, to distract from their own failings which are monumental.

SISU and only SISU are responsible for our pathetic plight - the lack of revenue from burger sales is neither here nor there when you look at the scale of the calamity that has hit this club. They unilaterally got us relegated with a tragically under-funded squad, broke the lease, took the club to Northampton against the interests of their fans, and deliberately took on a course of action that antagonised and alienated the stadium owners, painting themselves into a corner as they did so. As a result, the proud Coventry City FC (rather than reside in the Premier League) are slumming it with the likes of Crawley and Stevenage, playing in front of conference-size crowds in another county.

Nobody exonerates previous owners and many would say with hindsight the ACL/CCC should have offered a better deal, but when you pay the bills you take responsibility also and SISU's stewardship of this club has been a disaster.

So yes, the question is both pertinent and relevant in that it places the blame where it deserves to go - solely onto the shoulders of SISU Capital Limited.

By the way that was an example of a Hedge fund ( Agilo) recognising after £30M. worth of investment ,that the most pragmatic route was to pass It on to A.N. Other.

I am counting and still stuck on 0 yet grendull with his Brighton (1), thinks a team with a player called Callum Wilson (1)is any different

Yet i see he avoids facts again

Ignoring the facts, like the club's sole responsibility for the outrage of moving to Northampton, is your job.

Nobody thinks the council is king, but most can see that SISU's attempts to blame them for the council's failings are transparently unreasonable and misleading, and therefore point this out.

Hey I have been minding my own business. Just watching the court room drama unfold.

It just seems interesting watching the people who bash people through the courts coming off a bit for the worse.

However at the moment they are only having a pop at their main target's mate. So I am not going to be too gleeful until the main event.

It does seem though every time an independant person with power gets involved the situation transpires to be much as we thought.

Back to the point. Higgs were worried about the ethics of doing a deal on the loan without informing SISU. They asked Steve West for confirmation that SISU had been informed, which he confirmed. Apparently he hadn't informed SISU - according to SISU. How is this decisive? It was only a question of ethics for Higgs and not a legal point - apparently. Did he have to inform SISU? Did SISU inform CCC of all their plans?

This delicious irony makes the Higgs victory taste all the better. What comes around and all that, Timmy. Feels like karma at work to me.... hope to God the JR will go the same way.

Are you? Seems like a fair point to me.

I have done a lot of work with commercial contracts and in my professional opinion can advise, trying to be independent, that as long as the judge doesn't get too bogged down in the "who said what to who" nonsense, he/she is likely to look at the broader picture of a council trying to prevent one of its joint venture investments being broken and taken over by a hostile tenant as sufficient justification for taking of the bank loan and judge this to be legal.
