Are they the same as advisors? (genuine question)

If yes, then it is a massive contradiction.

How odd that after days of people being questioned being generally reported to be open and honest when we get to SISU we start seeing things like 'Higgs barrister is having to work hard to get some of the answers he is seeking'.

Simon Gilbert‏@TheSimonGilbert48sHiggs barrister asks if Sisu were seriously going to pay £5.5m for share worth nothing. Deering says Seppala recognised Higgs were a charity

They probably thought 5.5m is a steal but lets see where we can push them and offer 2m and meet somewhere like 3.5/4m saving another slice again. They should of realised 5.5m was the best deal ever and should of taken it and now because higgs told them to do one they have missed their chance and getting sore about it and want the 5.5m deal again.

All finally comes out in the end. They are horrible cretinous wankers. Its like buying a car and getting the deal you want and is a low price and then seeing if the dealer will take another 300 quid off and he says you know what forget it and then you go ok lets do the original but he would either say ok or be pissed off and tell you to do one. The latter is whats happened here and a lack of trust and animosity has developed. Rightly so

All solved peeps

question - if they only continued funding the club because they wanted the Charity share why are they still "funding it"?

Isn't Ms Deering an employee? In which case what authority for decision making does she have? What authority does she have for issuing funding or negotiating? - no t having a go would just like to know because I understood JS made all the major decisions

It's my understanding that in certain meetings between the parties, whoever was in there from CCFC/sisu were taking direct instructions from JS (Skype/text maybe?)
Which is rich when you imagine fisher kept bemoaning how Paul Harris etc didn't have authority to discuss freehold sale in meetings to discuss rent, which he did have authority to talk about.

Simon Gilbert‏@TheSimonGilbert44 secsMs Deering confirms Sisu thought charity's share was worth nothing.

So why look to purchase it at all..... let alone pay reported sume of 2m, 5.5m etc etc

Wonder what they think it is worth now?

Yesterday or the day before it was stated that one of the parties, perhaps Higgs, valued ACL as a whole at around £6m. It's on this thread somewhere.

Or it's called commercial negotiations, Higgs were or are under no obligation to sell at either price, albeit were then put under pressure due to the rent strike.

Simon Gilbert‏@TheSimonGilbert19sIt seems it may have been useful if Ms Seppala was here to answer some of these questions.

True but it seems to me like sisu were taking the piss and kept pushing it to the point where higgs goes sod off and now they are regretting it or so it seems to me.

Sorry your Honor but she wouldn't have been much use, she struggles with her recollection when entering a court room, especially with the difficult questions.

Simon Gilbert‏@TheSimonGilbert9sMiss Deering says offer for charity's share was considerably less than agreed in original discussions due to 'increased risk' to Sisu.

Ah this maybe what I am thinking.

If Higgs valued their shares at a certain value.

If SISU looked at the books than offered considerably lower (whilst not paying rent)

If Higgs are not going to accept what they consider to be an under value. Then are the council not right in their belief that SISU may pull the funding?

Or convenient not to. If she holds the answers she is the obvious witness for SISU to call. Unless the truth would not be favourable or she wouldn't pass the credibility test?

Is this for real!?! Hedge fund offers £5.5m for something they said was worth nothing? We've got a few days worth of rubbish out the back here that they can make us an offer for in that case.
