Dunno, she seemed to let all his predecessors do what they like...

Wasn't Onye's job to be SISUs person involved day to day and make sure what was being done was in line with SISUs wishes? It was when Fisher replaced Delieu that Onye got the chop and Sepalla was stated as getting more involved on a day to day basis.

Dunno, why do politicians say we instead of "David"?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - so please excuse any spelling or grammar errors :)

She's not a politician and she is referring to a high profile investment by her company. IMO she says "we" because she took the decision with Tim, otherwise she would have said Tim is in charge of CCFC, please ask him about ACL etc.. For SISU to claim now that it was Tim at CCFC, is ludicrous.

Sept 13

Ms Seppala said she was not personally involved with Sisu Capital’s purchase of the football club in 2007. She said: “People did the due diligence and for all intents and purposes we took calculated risks.

“What I can say definitively is that since I’ve become involved in the last two years I have not regretted any of the decisions that we’ve made."

What a ridiculous comment, no he's weighing up all of the evidence out forward and all statements. And this is about whether sisu agreed to and should pay the £29k, nothing to do with the rent strike.

And my personal view is, if they agreed to pay the £29k then they should pay it.

So is mine and I think the judge may not believe her when he makes his decision but he won't accuse her of perjury.
Just as the person who posted in here wouldn't accuse her of it either. That my friend was a ridiculous comment

SHE’S only been at the helm of our ship for about a month or so after ousting Onye Igwe but already Joy Seppala’s influence on our club is telling.

Callum BallSHE’S only been at the helm of our ship for about a month or so after ousting Onye Igwe but already Joy Seppala’s influence on our club is telling.

It’s little surprise the boss of Sisu had to step into Igwe’s shoes. He’d done an appalling job of directing the club, leaving us a whole division worse off after £43m of investment. Ouch.
If that £43m had been invested wisely in the beginning, as Ray Ranson had wished, then I’m sure City would have been back in the Premiership now, and well on their way to making Sisu a profit.
But that’s not the way our cookie crumbled (or it was if you’re thinking about Chris Coleman).
Seppala will now have to pull the club out of a real stinking swamp of despair if she’s even to guide us back to the point where we were when Sisu bought the club.

She’s been nothing if not proactive in her first month. Swapping Andy Thorn for Mark Robins would have cost, as would allowing Robins to immediately add to the menagerie of players Thorn had brought in over the summer.

Much is happening behind the scenes too. All the debtors have been paid off (remember, there is no debt to Sisu), and the mortgage on the training ground has been paid.
But most importantly, if rumour has it, Sisu are about to purchase a considerable stake in the Ricoh Arena.

What this says to me is that Sisu are willing to invest. There is no short-term gain to be had from part ownership.
The rewards will only be reaped in the long term, coupled with further investment in the land around the arena and the transport system there.

With a railway station scheduled to open for business this time next year the outlook for the future is looking increasingly rosy. In fact, I might start a campaign to name the matchday train the ‘Sky Blue Express’ and have it painted accordingly.

I for one am grateful for Joy taking the reins and splashing some cash to kick start the club. But if I have one message for her it’s that the most important investment is in what we see on the pitch.
It’s all about the players. And a good start would be to snap up Callum Ball and David McGoldrick on permanent transfers.

But again that's different to fisher going to sisu's management board and requesting approval.

Exactly this is not a difficult point. Next MMM will be blaming seppella for hiring Andy thorn - sorry I meant firing Andy thorn.

Maybe Sisu will try and legally pretend that 'the club'/management made key high profile financial and legal decisions over many months (including hitting National Newspapers and local TV) without Sisu approval - but no one in their right mind believes that do they?

Maybe Timmy will be in the stand soon ................

They tried to buy half the ricoh for £2m. This amount would not even buy half a house on the kenilworth road

Half the Ricoh? What on earth are you on about? Been on the meths early today?

You're talking about amongst others Mr Rod Lucas and his family who held 998 shares which had been passed down from their late father (a former vice president who had the club crest etched on his headstone). They were the last two percent of the shares that were needed to complete the take over.

When Stu can't answer the question and you avoid it totally and we're back to Andy Thorn, then I know I've proven my point. Thanks

Ah I see so when you said "owners" you meant every single shareholder one of whom was my dad, not Richardson et al.

Im sure you were aware of that, but you'd rather take it another way. That's up to you.

Let's stop being silly. Think through this simple question. Do you think Fisher was empowered, or able, to enter the rent strike - and risk the High Court hearing that came thereafter - without Joy's sanction (either implicit, or explicit)?

Just think.....

Given that there is ample evidence that suggests the club acted with zero financial controls previouy if say it would be very easy to argue that was the case in a courtroom. We had an embargo when we did not pay for ward at Bolton - was she aware of that - probably - did she have to approve non payment - unlikely, I'm sure there will be minutes of a board meeting that will reveal the extent of her involvement.

Comedy Gold today lads nearly choked on my Tuna and Cucumber batch.

If the ever-spiralling consequence of this ridiculous stance hadn't culminated in us playing in bloody Northampton, I'd agree with you. I can't help but read back through this shameful chronology and not feel a touch angry.

I would have enjoyed being a witness to Ms Deering's performance though, I agree

Somebody mentioned registering the Ricoh Arena as a charity, I believe that ACL should have been registered as such from the beginning, as something with charitable aims rather than just a way for the council to try and swell their own coffers.
The council never took any money out of ACL, all the profit was used to reduce the loan from Yorkshire Bank. It is why SISU did not like their plan of paying of the loan. Their plan is to load debth on to ACL.

That's farcical by means of comparison. One is a daily cashflow consequence, and the other a significant shift in the politik of the business she effectively heads. If she's hands on and in daily contact, as Fisher asserts, it's an incredible belief that she wouldn't have been involved

Yes you are so well informed you think sisu tried to buy half the Ricoh for £2 million.

Isn't it just the lease?

As they wanted the lease term extended to a period that is longer than the expected lifetime of the stadium as part of that deal I can't really see any difference.

Along with people praying for things etc.

It does get more interest than a match thread / video of highlights thread. Sadly.

Is she on the board of CCFC? The rent strike was a deliberate act which could have resulted in her soccer club being forced to play in a different city. That is significant. Other cock-ups were not necessarily premeditated or so definate in their potential working. No way would she not have been consulted on such a matter. She was at that time playing a "hands on" role.

Please do not try to say that you genuinely believe Joy wasn't consulted over the rent strike. It's just not credible at all. When I used to work at a company in charge of managing contractual relationships with suppliers, we had a dispute where we thought we'd paid too much. Firstly we considered ourselves an ethical organisation so did not withhold contractually due payments whilst we worked separately to agree a settlement.

If I as an employee / manager had thought the best thing was to withhold our financial payments despite a contract, I'd be bloody sure I got the back-up of the person paying the bill and my wages. No question.

Just as an aside, given that top QC's can charge up to £5000 per hour I reckon that SISU's legal costs for 3 days will be several multiples of £29,000 by now.
