New owners of CCFC required ? (8 Viewers)

Its obvious to me now that the only way CCFC can move forward now is with new owners.
Sisu had the opportunity to buy into the Ricoh but blew it with their tactics.
Why are Sisu fighting for the Ricoh when they deem the Higgs, Acl and the freehold all worthless ?
Its Sisu's fault the way things have turned out and all these court actions are just sour grapes.
I see comments on here with some of you saying hopefully they can do a deal now. Do you really think thay can happen ?
I can't believe that some fans who frequent this forum, were in uproar that a Council member had not told Sisu they were paying off the loan. But happily except Joy and Tim Fisher threatening to liquidate CCFC at every turn !!!!
To much has gone on now for a deal to ever happen so new owners are required to move CCFC foward. The longer Sisu are at the helm the longer our club stays in limbo !!!

New owners would be good though. But everything still needs completely renegotiating, they way it was and is cannot work.

Are you that Lee J Cobb character in 12 Angry Men? Shame you'll get there in the end. Astute's still digging his trench so he's with you. I think MMM is on vacation though.

Edit; Shmeee is still here! Actually he's the Cobb character - your the shifty young guy who caved in just before.

Not a prolific poster like some of you on here but ive read the opening post a couple of times and it seems fair comment to me .In some ways I can understand the point of view that says lets not go over this again but to shout down someone who thinks it deserves a mention doesnt seem right. If you dont want the thread to run ,dont post on it

Have to say, are Sisu really as incompetant as Richardson, Robinson & Mcginnity?
They certainly scrounge for every penny, is that a bad thing?

I think they pushed too hard, ended up pissing off the people they were negotiating with and ended up with nothing to show for it.

The fall out is grief for the fans.

Surely a 32K seat stadium in Coventry is not worthless to Coventry City Football club!

The question you have to ask yourselves is, will the council give or sell the Ricoh to Sisu ?
The answer for me is No.

Would the council sell to new owners ?
For me I believe there is a deal to be done in some capacity.

Sisu have been right with respect to the club needing all the revenue streams. They have totally gone the wrong way about it though and now its to late for them.

Have you even considered that sisu stuck to the plan they agreed with CCC and Higgs?
That it may be an outside influence that made the reps from CCC run away from the plan?

Knowing what you know now - wouldn't it have been best for all parties if they had all stuck to the plan?

I have only heard one side of the story,
In all fairness I couldn't possibly decide till I've read the JR submissions of both sides.
I hope you'll make sure you have all the information before leaping to a conclusion.

Don't think the Council will sell, period!

It depends on the chain of events and we currently only have one side of the story.
But even you must admit Sisu's negotiating tactics are less than desired ?

At a bare minimum the Higgs want out so there is a deal for 50% of Acl to be had.
And its not worthless as some might have you believe.
At 5.5million for 50% Ricoh revenue its a bargain.

That's true. No one can ever say you are someone who forms an opinion based on no evidence - you definitely are on of the most balanced posters on here.

You seem to be now avoiding the thread on the court case and are indulging yourself in this natty little sideshow. Why?

Because I have logically computed the key details from the court case. And concluded Sisu are incapable of doing a deal for the Ricoh.

The whole situation is a mess.
I have no faith in SISU to deliver anything.
I have said this before, their whole aim has been to become our landlords by getting hands on the Ricoh. They also wanted ownership of the mortgage. They are a hedge fund that run off fees.
We will never prosper under them.

Are new owners likely to be any different? Probably not the way banks and modern businesses operate.

Regardless of how much higgs paid for its 50% stake in acl. That is now only worth 50% of what acl is now worth.

Does anyone know how much acl is worth??? Didn't the council get it valued at £6m before the remortgage ???

How do you know it's a bargain? Have you done due diligence on their books?

It's all good saying new owners are the answer and you're probably right John, problem is no investor is queuing at Sisu's door demanding to discuss a deal to purchase the Club..

An exclamation free post. Things must be bad in pro council land.

I don't need to its all in Acl's latest filed accounts. And would be worth a lot more with CCFC playing there.

There would definately be interest but Sisu wouldn't recoup all Arvos money.

What needs to happen though to generate interest? If people are interested in buying the Club they'd be interested now as well?

Sisu aren't willingly going to put the Club on sale, so any investor that is interested has to step forward now.. But there is nothing..

There is no point saying we need new owners when no one is willing to buy!
