If I had a business that had to move because of a falling out with the owners of the property was in (not going into blame) and had to move, I would have tried my best to persuade loyal customers (which I don't think SISU did), consult them or try my very best (which I don't think they did either) to make the move a bit better and facilitate. It depends what my store was selling, I would try and offer free delivery if possible over the phone or internet or even drop them off myself / hire a delivery man. I would start advertising where I moved to to try and get new customers through the doors as well as keeping in contact with the old customers as much as possible (they are loyal, they need looking after, If the situation really is the only option then I would have to make the best out of a bad situation until I can find another shop to rent).

I probably wouldn't have bought the business in the first place though in all honesty.

I dont think this will work either to be honest. What are we trying to achieve by doing this - SHowing SISU that we will not pay them money whereas most of those in that ground are either ST holders who have already paid that money or local public who wont join in to this protest. I doubt there are that many floating city fans who just pop over there.

For the Wolves game there is going to be mostly Wolves fans anyway so i doubt it will have the desired affect you are hoping to achieve UNLESS you have all of those 1,300 fans (lets face it probably more like 1000 actual city fans) plus a large number of NOPM/KCIC'ists outside making a protest. This would be visual and show them that the fans are unhappy rather than sit on your ass at home saying its a protest. The alternative is everyone pays on the gate, fills the stadium and let them know in the ground, either way is good but just not showing up isnt going to have the desired effect as everyone keeps saying they dont care about the fans they only care about the money (well they already have those fans gate money).

Nick. I can understand that if you do not believe in something it is very hard to get motivated towards it. There is a subtle difference in the nature of protesting against a felt wrong and the belief we as individuals can change anything for the better.

If we feel something is wrong and we ignore it, by definition we condone it. If we signal we feel it is wrong, we may not change it, but we do register that a boundary has been crossed. I won't and will never go to Sixfields (I am now doubting if I will even return to the RICOH whilst SISU are in charge) but I will accept and respect the decision made by those that do. What concerns me is the perceived unwillingness by those that do go, to signal that SISU have crossed the boundary. I would (and I suspect that many who contribute to this site) feel a lot more empathy with the Sixfields attendees if they would just send that signal that they too feel that the boundary between right and wrong has been breached.
Will it change the destiny of this saga? Who knows, but one thing I am certain of, doing nothing will only protract the issue.

Here's my suggestion to the Sixfields attendees. Gather together and protest with the Why & When posters. You don't have to be anti SISU, ACL or CCC, just pro the family of Sky blues fans. Small gestures influence the way people think and react. Will it be enough? No, but it would add weight to the argument.

This is why I thought those scarves were a good "gesture". People can still go and watch a game but where a scarf, can't they? Yes it may not bring us home, but it would show unity with people on the hill with them, fans inside, everybody else all having them on.

CCFC is a business. Businesses needs customers and customers need servicing. If a business has no customers whatever and no prospect of customers in future, how long do you think that business would continue in the manner it is currently doing so?

Put it another way Nick. Imagine you owned a business on the high street with a steady customer base. You make the decision to re-locate out of town because the business rates are lower. The consequence of this is to lose every single customer. Would you remain out of town with no customers and no income coming in or would you consider returning to the high street?

I’m not a violent person Nick, but you are the one person I would happily punch in the side of the head with your constant nit-picking, fence sitting and general pouring of cold water on anything against the move to Sixfields.

My analogy on this is akin to the Titanic. The crew(CCFC fans who want to try anything to help) are trying their level best to bale water, break out the lifeboats, while the passengers(Nick, RFC, AndreasB, Torchy, Grenduffy, etc,etc, Because they have paid good money for the cruise ie:- pay to go to Sixfields) Sit and watch the orchestra play while the ship sinks. FFS at least try and do something.

Apart from the piss poor metaphor which is wrong on just about every level, the only ones "sitting and watching the ship sinking" are the vast majority of supporters sitting tight at home hoping for the best. Thats not a protest, thats just wishful thinking.

The guys on the hill are actually doing something - and get more publicity than the effort put in. Everyone else is doing nothing. I am amazed our fantastic fans have not managed to do something truly innovative like fill Sixfields and do a mass pitch invasion or something - now that would signal intent! Incredible that 6000 can go to London but not 35 miles to create a truly memorable protest.

Finally, you need to understand the mentality of a lot of those who go to Sixfields - whether you like it or not they are the absolute hardcore who would follow the club anywhere - I see most of them at awaygames. Such as the attendances and the fact that some people have expressed a desire not to watch 'home' games there ever. I do the "2-55pm charge" from the pub to the ground every home game, and at that time there's barely more than 5 people on the hill (i guess they are still in the pub). So how you can summarise that people can't look you in the eyes, when most of them are already in the ground, i'll never know.

Just let the attendees make their choice, and everyone else make theirs. Personally it's gonna be a nightmare at the Wolves match. We will be heavily outnumbered, and they will most likely be milking their inevitable promotion, and ripping the piss out of our current situation. As hard as it will be to stomach, i'll be behind the goal as ever, in the faint hope that we pull off a win and i can ram their comments right down their throats!

Just remember, the sixfields attendees are the most active group this season. 600/1000/1300/whatever home fans each week, and making up a fair proportion of the die-hard away support. People on the hill 10/30/52/whatever..... what's everybody else doing? Protesting by staying at home? very convenient.

Did I say or anybody else say all the people that go in? No. Have I got a problem with the people that go? No Is it when they go in? No Do some of them when they come out? Yes,should they? No.
