Marshall is an adequate replacement IMO

hope your right

not sure we have had a "top 3 goals by one player" quite like this season since Peter Ndlovu. Lets hope Marshall can fill those boots

No way are we safe from relegation can't see us getting anything from Wolves, Sheffield United or Swindon so that leaves Oldham away where in my opinion. we must get something. We are in free fall and looking desperate at the moment

we are 6 points clear with 4 games left, and 14th, I just can't see us being dragged that far down

"Moussa trained but declared himself unfit"

Taking a lead out of Clarkes book is he? I hope not.

as for Marshall Nick, he was one of the better performers today. Defended well, but struggled to beat his marker when attacking (beat him once or twice but crosses lead to very little).

On which, interesting to see the whole of the outside team at the start of the match doing a huddle in the middle of the pitch while Christie did his own thing, 30 Yards away. Mmmmm...

i thought we were very poor today, only improved once Baker came on, which is worrying as he will be gone at the end of the season

Baker won't be going anywhere.

Totally agree. Looked more switched on and aware than anybody else.

Does anybody know if its in our loan agreement to have to play Eccleston or summit? Bimbled around again and missed a sitter  Really, can't see the point.

It's either him or Delfonso. Not sure which is worse......

Especially when we have kids coming through the academy that were around the first team in ore season and now nowhere to be seen (Maund and Garner). One of which the academy coach is raving about, the other who seems to have upset someone behind the scenes

Bullspit I left my phone at home today and have only just caught up with the scores. So we still need another 3 points to be 100% assured of safety?

It doesn't make sense, if he wants to go to a championship club then he needs to be playing to a high standard. Different to Clarke who had a deal lined up.

Would only make sense if he already has a deal agreed for next season

4 games left, 6 points clear, so 6 really, but if the bottom 4 lose on friday, we should be 100% safe

Or maybe he's actually unfit? huge difference between training and being match fit

I think that is more likely than he is copying Clarke

agreed, was just throwing out the suggestion he might not be fit enough to play :) I'm sure we will find out this week or friday if it's genuine. Would be very surprised if he's copying clarke, doesn't seem like that kind of player IMO, may be wrong tho :)

I think any player who decides their not fit to play has an alterior motive. Surely it's down to the doctors / physios etc to decide if someone's match fit?

agreed, but how is a doctor or physio able to tell how much pain they're in? never used the old migraine trick for work ;)?

By asking questions atleast. And ones where you can't answer with a straight 'I'm not fit for work' ;)

haha ;) all I'm saying is I hope he's being genuine, if not, it's a case of adios, although he's going anyway. just a shame we gave him a way back in after being dumped by Leicester

Why a shame if he has scored goals? ;)

On another note, if he's sitting out the last 4 games as he knows he has a transfer lined up, would that not be a shame he's doing that?

It would, but that wasn't how it was phrased the first time, but that may be due to bad punctuation rather than anything else.

Totally unfair to judge Pressley on this season.
Playing all games away.
Sisu as owners.
Relying on a strike force of a young untried kid - Callum Wilson.
Having the mercenary Leon Clark jump ship.
Dodgy defenders like Webster, well past his best.
He's honest but too slow.
A revolving door of 18 year old loanees.
Petrasso, Akpom, Slager, the other one I can't remember, Donnelly.
All because Sisu won't finance better players.
Even though their word was they would finance Sixfields no problem.
Only got Prutton and Robinson in at last minute because of a real danger of relegation.
A couple of players coasting towards a transfer.
Pressley hasn't built his own team, Sisu won't finance it.
Oh and did I forget Sisu.
Judge him on a season at the Ricoh with proper owners.

Pressley Stats

Played 59
Won 22
Drawn 16
Lost 21

Not bad considering that his stint has included x2 10 point deductions, losing and losing Leon Clarke due to injury at the end of last season and jumping ship in January this season, limited funds, and a young squad.

What has the point deductions got to do with how many games weve won?
