Possible ‘Keep the Faith’ event? 26 April

A couple of people have suggested this idea

  • Meet 3pm Saturday 26 April at the Jimmy Hill statue, bring a radio and listen to Wolves game (bring a ball for a kickabout in the car park?)
  • Keep it simple and small-scale
  • Just a way of marking on the day of our last ‘home’ fixture that we should be at the Ricoh not NTFC
  • If you are interested please email [email protected] so we can see if it's worth doing

Other event dates

Dates for handing out ePetition leaflets (or signing up if anyone has an Ipad) and kcic t-shirt sales/orders

Saturday 19 April: Stall in Coventry market
Saturday 3 May: Sheffield Utd away
Sunday 4 May: Help for Heroes game at the Ricoh
Monday 5 May: Stall at Earlsdon Festival, jointly with the Sky Blue Trust

Volunteers to help would be very welcome!

great stuff.

you spoke to the casino and former players association ?

perhaps they could send some former players along and do a "meet and greet" after the game in the casino to turn it into a bit more of an event ?

I've got a lot on over Easter so how about this for a plan...

We call it 'Keep the Faith' and to keep it dead simple say it's meeting 3pm at JH statue just to mark, on the occasion of the last 'home' game of the season, we should be at the Ricoh not NTFC
If people want to bring radios and stay to listen to the game, bring a ball for any kids to have a kickabout, or do anything else that's up to individuals to do
If anyone who has expressed interest (eg ccfcway, Covstu, skyblueliam ???) want to contact the Former players Assoc and casino that would be great but I just haven't got time
Scale - it would be great if thousands turned up but it really does only need a handful of people to be there to make a point (and only times there's been big numbers is for the march and events at matches so best to work on the basis of small numbers)
I'm happy to use kcic mailing list, FB, twitter etc to publicise the 26th and even put out a press release which I'd hope would get local coverage but with a full league programme that day, PL games and Liv v Chelsea the next day wider coverage will be difficult.
And kcic approach is always that if you do nothing then nothing changes, but if you try things at least you stand a chance and some things certainly have an impact way beyond what seemed likely eg Arsenal. So go for it!

If you can get Bon Jovi there, then I'm in!!!

Pressley wants to work here in Cov, but SISU went on strike, we're down on our luck, its tough, so tough.
Fisher works the diner all day, working for Seppela, they need the pie money to pay, oh pay

SISU said they have to hold on, for what they've got, is doesn't make a difference if we protest or not.......
They've got each other, and thats a FACT oh yer..........they've not bought a plot...

oh, we're 34 miles over there, oh oh, we dont have a prayer !
you took my club, and i hate it I swear, oh oh, we don't have a prayer

Its a good idea, but I'll be on the hill. Hopefully with a couple of hundred more. IMO we need to cause issues there.

I'm not even sure now where all these different ideas for the wolves game started but we know everyone's not going to agree to do one thing so best to work with what people do want to do. If there are people protesting inside (wasn't there a facebook group planning that??), people on the hill and some people at the ricoh it all helps get the message across that we want to be in Cov not at NTFC

Mark Robins, he is bleeding
you can see his Sky Blues Blood
Its way more than a feeling
that this football club kicks up

every since you left me
ive been i spent time in West Orchards
You see we have always been fighters,
but 34 miles and we've give up

we can do a protest song
sing about the way it used to be
but to SISU thats no good any more
they've took us from Coventry

and i, will love you, always
I'll be there when SISU have gone away...
ALWAYS
