It's all kicking off at Bloomfield Road, firstly there was a vocal protest against Karl Oyston, secondly tennis balls and golf balls were thrown onto the pitch, then a pitch intruder and now a coach and substitute have had an altercation.

Money has ruined Football.. Why has our beloved game come to this?

Sounds like they care about the future of their club

It would be good to see that sort of protest at Sixfields against what is happening to our club, preferably for the Wolves game. But it won't happen, of course. The ones that go are clearly willing to accept whatever the club subject them to, without any protest or complaint. No wonder so many have simply lost interest when our games are played without any atmosphere or passion from the crowd.

Don't worry - Mr Lava bottom itch is inviting a specially selected group of supporters to sort it all out and get the truth out in the open :thinking about:

Another pointless, tedious dig.

One of the reasons why I haven't posted on the forum as regularly recently.

I've come to the conclusion that no matter how you protest about something you can't win.
If you get violent you get punished,if your peaceful nobody listens,if you accept things hoping for a change nothing will happen, and if you try the route of getting people behind you eventually that peters out.
Football is becoming like politics, those in power don't give a shit even when they pretend they do,unless there's something in it for themselves.

Compared to?

Lighten up Rob.

Did you notice that this sort of thing was suggested for Northampton games? Did I want them to happen?

The answer has to be yes and no. Yes because our plight would have been put under the spotlight even more. No because what it could cost our club. Do we want to risk a points deduction? But I would surely have expected more of a protest than has happened so far. Over the years we have been very vocal. Sack the manager. Chants about the board. But they were the good days although we didn't know it. We have become an average division 3 club playing 35 miles from Coventry yet no protests. Have we become soft? The only pressure on SISU is financial, and why should they be in a rush to bring us home when it isn't even their money they are wasting?

Yet unfortunately it stopped the game for all but thirty seconds and then play resumed what we need is a protest like the one that was seen in Spain, where the players on the pitch refused to play and the match was then abandoned, that would get the results the fans desire, but there are no chances of it happening.

Have we become soft? Not necessarily, however when you look into it deeper the reason protests haven't been successful is because there have been no numbers and by that we can look at the Club's move to Northampton as a catalyst for that.

I believe it's about the financing of their Club, a high number of the fans believe that not enough money that is being generated through revenue, investment, etc is being used to improve the squad, transfer budgets, wage budgets and so forth but Karl Oyston's argument is that the budget is much improved than when the Club were promoted to the Premier League..

They have the opposite problem to us. Their club is too well run. I know one of the Blackpool lads. The chairman don't offer big contracts to anyone. So they struggle to get players good enough for the division they are in. But they do have a secure financial future.

Simple solution, SISU for Osyton.

Doesn't solve our issue though does it? CCFC has not been a viable business since before Sisu arrived..

well, I would suggest that in the short term we would be playing at the Ricoh, paying £400k rent and getting income from gates of 11k + as opposed to 1.5K +

In an ideal financial world it does make more sense or better yet why do Sisu not purchase the two 50% shares of ACL and become the landlords? They could do that tomorrow if they decided "Right we will convert the debt (which is at £40,000,000? I think) and invest as much as we can into buying the Ricoh Arena, at which point next season we will offer fans 1/3 off season tickets and match tickets, while maintaining kids for a quid on certain fixtures to try and win back more supporters?

But it has quickly got worse since they took over. And the rent is only a small percentage of it, although some would like you to believe that it was the main problem.

There something good on Radio 4 yesterday regarding football and finances, where we got a passing mention. Believe it or not there are a group of fans at United moaning about the lack of atmosphere at Old Trafford.

Most of us know that. The problem seems that they want everything as cheap as they can get it and don't mind wasting 20m to try and save 4m. The problem is that they have wasted a lot of money and got nothing cheaply so need to get everything even cheaper to make up for the money they have wasted.

Hopefully they will soon learn that it isn't as easy as it is with a private company in distress. But they still seem to want to batter everyone into submission.

Well run. Owen Oysten, you know the rapist of a 16 year old, I believe invested a lot of the premier money into his own pension fund there was newspaper articles at the time expressive massive concern about the club.

Astute incredibly wants seppella to make millions out the club for personal wealth. Incredible.

Well you clearly define a well run club as one that has lost 20 of it's last 27 games and whose owner has ploughed millions of the SKY earnings into his own Pension Fund.

Forget protests just give up that will put them out of business? after all a fan blowing a whistle gets called all the names under the sun for being an immature hooligan who has brought disgrace on the fans well its a shame we couldn't all care a little bit more and just do that little bit more in the end they will have to listen.

Unfortunately we are all just giving up myself included can't be arsed with all the shit if they stay in Northampton for another season then the club will die FACT no matter what you think no good will come out of it. By the time they have a new stadium there will only be a handful left.

I had retired my whistle but may have to dust it off for a final time.....City til they Die......
