Why is Pressley still putting insisting with Prutton? He was on Talksport the other day saying he's retiring at the end of the season because of recurring injuries. All seems a bit pointless and desperate to me.

He just said he hopes to still be playing football next season on CWR? Or did I mishear?

Moussa is going to be a huge loss :(

even to see out these last few games, we'd appreciate it rather than declaring himself unfit

On the positive, as far as I'm concerned we're safe now.

There's no way that all of Colchester, Crewe, Tranmere, Notts and Carlisle are going to overtake us now considering our GD

wish you were correct but all of those teams could actually overtake us on the points side.neither play each other so technically,
Colchester - 53
Tranmere -53
Crewe - 53
Notts - 52
Carlisle - 53 (game in hand).

City need another 3 points

Mixed messages ," We won't do talks till we're safe" ,"We're still hopeful of retaining him","He's declaring himself unfit".

Clive and Geoff seem to think from Interviews Pressley does'nt think he's committed ,somewhere In that lies the truth.

I think that was referring to Murphy IIRC, may be wrong tho

Both teams have managers that won't let their players daydream to the end of the season.

Yes it is mathematically possible that they could all overtake us but highly improbable was my point, all the teams below us need to go unbeaten in the final 2/3 fixtures to overtake us. If any of those 5 teams lose one game then they can't finish ahead of us.

That 5 teams who play 11 games between them, we only need two defeats for the chasing team below us from those 11 and we are safe.

In my mind we're safe now even if we lose the final two fixtures.

IT's very dangerous to be as complacent as we appear .

How did we overturn all those TITANIC battles while in the Prem ?

going by spurs in the fa cup last year compared to winning 3-0 at WHL, I guess not like we have been playing

We're relying on a Charlton moment where someone else's goalie or a post saves us ,If we don't get more points on the board.

I seriously hope this doesn't go down to the last match of the season with us needing other results to go our way. Done enough of those to know I don't want to do another one. I'd far rather we were safe by now - on the plus side it was a clean sheet today.

Realistically,it is likely that one of the teams who could catch us will lose by the end of the Wolves game and we will be safe (due to goal difference). Can see us getting our first whooping for a while against Wolves, followed by a 'disappointing' 2/3-0 defeat against Sheff Utd as we will already be safe and we've rarely gone out with a bang when the game is meaningless. SP needs SISU to put their hands in their pockets in the Summer. coupled with some astute signings if we are to have any chance of a decent season next year. Oh yeah, a different ground might help, too! ;)

We have had a last day relegation battle in the last 15 years

Thought the sky blue army's abuse of Carl Baker today was totally unnecessary. Yes he didn't have a great game but there were others just as bad. The guys scored 10 goals for us this season and always tries to make things happen, some times it come off, sometimes it don't but he didn't deserve the abuse he was getting. Felt embarrassed having to listen to it. Could have done with him on the pitch for the free kick in the dying seconds as haven't seen Marshall take a good direct free kick yet.

Baker has underachieved in all but one season at Coventry.

Probably one if the most over rated players I have witnessed in 40 years. I hope he goes in the summer - however I am sure he will stay loyal to the shirt.

Really, for a man who say's he knows a lot about CCFC, recently you have proved yourself to be coming up short in that department. Firstly with you not knowing terms like Westender and alike and then with this comment. There have been far worse the Baker despite coming with supposed big reputations like Delfounseo (PL player), Kilbane (wealth of experience) and the list can go on.

A good mate of mine told me that when your favourite manager Andy Thorn was in charge, he let the majority of the players off to a race meeting on a Thursday (I think) before a game on the Saturday and miss a whole day of training. The reason he knew this was because he saw Baker out on a long run because training was called off and he had a chat with him. That in itself deserves credit and not to be given shit by Cov fans.
