That's my point. They don't care about individual fans. You may disappear but if 'Coventry City' were in the prem other people will go.
Of course the flip side of this is if we stay in Div 3 no one will go.

Sorry, two included the Ricoh. The other one was Parkside. There are some documents on the council's website (I think) that talk about the options appraisal.

Hard to believe Parkside was an option, if you mean the ex-Rolls Royce factory, that has been site of Cov Uni Science Park for many years.
There was a more recent housing development at the higher end of the old factory site near the Mile Lane railway bridge, but that isn't really big enough for a ground and short of buldosing Cov Cemetery and the few residential streets between the old factory & the ring road there is insufficient access & parking.
Sounds to me like someone presenting 3 options due to bureaucratic requirements where 2 were obviously never going to be considered & only one stood out as feasible.

Yes, because two football stadiums in such proximity would be such a wise move and not total waste of money wouldn't it.

Chances are any site they pick for a stadium will have the same problems. Has any stadium ever flown straight through the planning process? Can't be many if any at all exist. And of course fairly early on in the process it goes above CCC.
Again this would be an easy way for SISU to get themselves some support. Buy a site in Coventry and put in for planning permission. Force the council to make a decision and justify it. If the council turn down an application with no valid reason it is likely there would be a swing in support towards SISU. By just saying we're not even going to attempt to locate a new stadium in Coventry as the council won't like it is playing into 'anti-SISU' hands.

If SISU built a new stadium and CCFC rented it.
Would a new buyer of CCFC just move the team back to the Ricoh?
.... or would SISU tie the club up with the stadium by a long lease. (Sound familiar ?)
Or, because they own both would they not sell one without the other ?
Would the club have so much debt that it would never be saleable at a value suitable to Sisu?

It'd be fabulous if we could pressure both council and SISU to draw down potential sites and commit to no obstacles for the purchase and planning... and if no suitable sites exist, for pressure to be exerted on both sides to give their reasons openly and transparantly why sites had to be rejected...

Turning it down is only doing what the majority of fans want. Certainly the majority of Coventry rate payers would be okay with it.
Worrying what the few Sisu apologists think will not be considered.

I would have thought the majority of fans want Coventry playing in Coventry as a priority.
The point is SISU just state it's not possible to build in Coventry when that's not true, at most CCC could cause a delay - the same delay they are likely to get at any site due to objections. In my opinion if SISU started working towards a stadium based in the city by purchasing land, showing plans etc and the council then started interfering you would see some supporters changing their stance.

It seems SP is fed up with the Sixfields fiasco as well.
But now he's going public with it.
Seems to me he's spelling it out to the owners and to the fans.
"But he is already turning his thoughts to how he can upgrade the Sky Blues into an upwardly mobile side next season, despite having to contend with financial restrictions and the morale-sapping pressures of playing in front of tiny crowds at another club’s stadium..
“I have to think about the best way we can utilise our resources because playing at Northampton is very difficult and the likelihood is that the budget will come down again.
“I’m immensely proud of my players and my staff because we’ve been through a lot this year and it’s been hugely demanding on our young players, not just physically but mentally.
“We’ve had a lot to endure, losing the ten points and playing in front of 1,500/1,600 supporters on a number of occasions. That’s not easy and it helped that the stadium was a lot fuller for this game.
“Like when we played Peterborough at Christmas, you arrive at the ground and it feels like there’s a game on and there’s no doubt that intensity makes a difference to the players.”

The study was carried out in 1997. The science park or Technocentre wasn't built then.
Well, Council should never have blackmailed our club!

Can't wait 5 years for a poxy stadium even in Coventry. It's Ricoh this year or I'm gone.
Can't bee bothered which supporters are right or wrong ... it won't really matter if they build this stadium.

You gave in too easily. They said the same to me, so I "left". During the 1 month before finally switching off, had a few calls offering various deals, one of which i accepted. 12 months at half price.
