Respect to all those in fancy dress at Sheff U - anyone reckon these might catch on?!
Shame we couldn’t hold out yesterday. But important thing is we've avoided relegation. So massive credit to SP and the players, although it was a bit sad thinking it’s probably the last time we’ll see some of them in a City shirt.

In this week’s news –

Anyone believe acl-sisu will ever negotiate a deal after these comments?

  • “A landlord who tries to kill the club off makes that decision very difficult. We can't trust the landlord.” Tim Fisher’s reply when asked if sisu would return to the Ricoh on a low rent with 50% of revenue.
  • Then this from Peter Knatchbull-Hugessen of Higgs: “Seppala, Labovitch and the owners - whoever they are - have said they are not interested in purchasing our shares and she’s not interested in renting…It is unfortunate they want to continue behaving absurdly.”

Things get ever weirder…

  • ‘US businessman's online effort to get Coventry City back to Ricoh appears to have been abandoned after a complete lack of response from supporters…but bizarrely he claimed his project had been a success - “I am absolutely delighted in the complete lack of response’”.
  • "The real issue, the one that should be uniting all fans is to see our football club return close to the heart of the city to which it belongs". There are some really good people on the Supporters Consultation Group and this is a great quote from their Chairman - except the overwhelming majority of supporters want to return to the Ricoh not ‘close’ to Coventry!!!
  • Someone is standing in this month’s elections backed by one of the other fan groups. He's no doubt very well-meaning but despite being a born and bred Coventry kid he's a Spurs fan – you really couldn’t make it up! (In response to several enquiries, kcic is non-political and isn’t involved in this at all)
  • And the Ricoh will be hosting the UK’s first ever streaking contest. We’ve gone from being an Olympics venue to this. Not sure whether to laugh or cry.

But amidst the madness kcic will keep on hammering home the mainstream view

  • The Sky Blues should be at the Ricoh not at Northampton Town
  • acl and the council have questions to answer but sisu are primarily responsible for the move away from Coventry
  • We would be better off owning the Ricoh but sisu are not to be trusted - nobody seems to think sisu are good for CCFC
  • Those interested only in being pro/anti acl/sisu are small minorities at the extremes of the situation
  • kcic says - Team and Fans before hedge fund profits and local politics!

Is that right about Rob being a Spurs fan?

Isn't it Brian Patton?

That sounds familiar. Has he been on the council before?

(don't worry, I'm going to go look through the Telegraph articles to see what I've missed now)

Nice one! Sorry I didn't get to meet you but think Moz and Kev did? It was another really good day and again what is so striking when we've done leafleting or a stall like today is you don't get all the pro/anti acl/sisu stuff that you get on here, it's just the same comments over and over about acl having questions to answer but sisu being the main culprits and sisu not being trustworthy. And you also get to meet so many nice people, and so many willing to help it's really great.

Am pleased the day went, had some very good comments , pity I missed it.

The outfits were £10.50 each, wife bought them via eBay, extra large fitted all three of us and they have a slightly different style for the ladies.
