Keogh, Clingan and Jutkiewicz. Please Don't Leave Us (1 Viewer)

In my opinion, Richard Keogh, Sammy Clingan and Lukas Jutkiewicz are our best and most established players. Keogh always puts in a solid performance and I feel our defense is held together very well with him there. Clingan pretty much our main man, holds the team together and a perfect captain. And Juke, the leading striker. I find myself impressed by him every time i see him play. He puts a lot of effort in and seems to have desire and hunger. Great 1st touch and i'm sure the goals will come soon. If any 1 of these players leaves us either this summer or in January, we are in real trouble. So please, do not leave us.

Why you telling us? Shouldn't you be telling them? The letter seems kind of personal and addressed to the players in question.

I can lend you a couple of stamps if you like.:D

Well who else have we got? Biggie's only played 3 games and some people are already calling him our best player! Clingan is clearly not below average is he

My sincere apologies to Don McClean (sing to tune of American Pie).

A long, long time ago...
I can still remember
How the Sky Blues used to make me smile.
And I knew if we had the finance
That we could bring back the romance
And, maybe, we’d be happy for a while.

But january made me quiver
Not one loan deal did they deliver.
Bad news on the terraces;
We all felt like proper headcases.

I can’t remember if I cried
When I knew we were gonna subside,
But something touched me deep inside
The day damned SISU lied.

So bye-bye, City good bye.
Drank a bevy by the bookie,
But the bevy tastes dry.
As them good old boys watched the game go awry
Singin’, "this’ll be the day that we die.
"this’ll be the day that we die."

Agree with not losing the three, but I would add Turner, Crainie, Murphy Hussey and the kids too. We have some real quality here (some of the best since relegation), not just those three, but overall we're too thin, we lack leadership and we can't or don't look like scoring goals. A Dennis Wise and a Marlon King and we would have a real chance. Unfortunaley without them we are very likely to go in the other direction and lose all of the afore mentioned.

To be honest I wouldn't say our team is anything less than an average one at this level. It's a very tight league and a bit of quality here and there makes a massive difference. IMO if we'd held onto King we'd have won our first two games - we created a number of chances, especially against Birmingham, and they would have been gobbled up by some other teams. Having good, experienced strikers makes all the difference.

(no disrespect to Juke because I like him as a player, but ideally you don't want to be relying a young work-in-progress player like that).

Clingan seems to be playing a captain's part, and Keogh is talking to his defenders, we need the rest of midfield to start harassing the opposition, and moving when we've got the ball.

TBH none of these players are 'stars', we have just got rid of those three out of the squad. They will help us fight relegation but i cannot see any of these three ever making a prem league side or a west ham, cardiff etc side.

I do think some of our fans need to take the tinted glasses off sometimes as we have a poor side on paper. The only plusses are that we have good kids coming through.
