Bus lane/black cabs/minicabs case brought up because of the European competition argument in this case.
Simon Gilbert (@TheSimonGilbert) has just made the point that we’ve finally got a lot of the key people together in the same room - just not the right one.
ACL QC says you can’t compare Coventry with Copenhagen when referring to a state aid case involving a Danish arena which Sisu raised yesterday.
ACL QC finishes by repeating claim that no economic analysis has been provided by Sisu into the effect on competition/trade of the council loan to ACL.

'My 1st ever tweet. Honoured to be mentioned by Simon Gilbert, the Harry Styles of local journalism'

Haha! Simon does have a touch of the boy band about him it has to be said :) [Says me who has the look of Tim Fisher's dog's arse on a cold morning]

Ha, Take That, Simon...

Depends on what the brief of said PR company is, if it's to throw mud at others to distract from ACLs own failings...

Personally I don't see why they needed them, they already have their own PR and communications team.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - so please excuse any spelling or grammar errors :)

Selling the arena to customers and handling a hostile attack on your business are two different things.

Here's the thing with this "mud slinging" claim. Every piece of evidence I have seen that's helped me make a decision on Sisu has either been: Fisher/Waggot/Garlick at a forum, OSB's analysis of the finances, my own views on how the club is being run, us going to Northampton, Joy's interviews, Labovitch's statements, documentary evidence given by fans at the forum/by MPs.

Which of those exactly, did WS have control over? Surely not the club (which is by far the majority of negative info). I doubt you're claiming the conspiracy goes all the way up to Parliament? Maybe the kid who gave over his payslip showing he worked for CCFC Ltd?

However, the emails to Jan, the rumours of council illegality or incompetence, the Sisu skeleton argument, everything else that's come out against ACL/CCC/SBT/Higgs/CET has come from random posters on here, closed meetings that people are reluctant to talk about, etc. etc.

Which is really the actions of an organisation utilising the dark PR arts to sling mud?

A point I made 30 mins before. Good to see our impartial reporter is on top of things. :)

ACL QC infers Coventry not as metropolitan as Copenhagen after Sisu cited case law example in that city earlier in proceedings.

Bloody Fisherism

I'm disappointed that in three days of court so far, Fisher hasn't coached his QC to use my favourite: 'two turkeys do not an eagle make'

Unless he's saving it for if they win; with in the context of his performance compared with the QC's of ACL and CCC?!?

Sisu QC says club was financially embarrassed and the situation “couldn’t go on”.
Judge responds: “It could not go on without rent being paid.”

Sisu QC says club couldn’t afford to pay the rent as it was (£1.3m). “Something had to be done”.
He also refers to ACL and says both they and the club “were drowning”.

Sisu QC insists loan was state aid and was irrational. “It was the worst of four options.”

If Sisu win and Fisher comes out with "Well we beat two sides today, but ... I guess two turkeys does not an eagle make." *puts on shades, rides off on Harley*

All is forgiven.

Judge was straight to the point on not paying the rent !

@TheSimonGilbert: Sisu QC argues other options for ACL could have been restructured debt with bank, become insolvent or to do a deal with Sisu.

Don't think the judge is going to fall for this sisu act. It's pretty obvious acl hot problems once sisu stopped paying rent that was a contractual obligation as soon as sisu realised it wasn't gaining the Higgs share and not able to restructure the loan.

Seppala you lost.
