.....that the only reason we did was to invest the money in a team that could 'challenge'

And by 'challenge' they mean play football, in a competitive manner on the odd occasion.

Give me strength! We don't dictate whether he goe's or not, it's the PLAYER & the PLAYERS AGENT who'll make that decision.

I personally hope he stays at least one more season, if he does this time next year he'd get a better deal with a bigger club.

If someone double or trebled your wages I guess you'd stay where you are?

Will the money be invested in the team along with your £££ that keep Coventry out of Coventry?

So players are never forced out?

You have made an argument against a point that I never made? I said we will sell him................I didn't say anything about who controls it? Have another look at my post and read some statements made by the club and............talk to you in a bit.

Reasons we're out of Coventry are simple, we need to own run and control ALL revenue streams as FIFA FPR dictate we can only spend 60% of our gross turnover on player related payments ie: transfer fees, bonuses & wages.

Please get a grip.

So, how much larger was the playing budget this year thanks to being out of Coventry?

Listen I don't know whether we'll sell him or not but it's not in our control (Leon Clarke being the perfect most recent example ), he engineered that move along with his agent.

In the past goalscoring HERO'S have been sold and none of us liked it, Terry Bly, George Hudson, Bobby Gould. I could go on and on but it's a fact of football life we have to contend with, as one door closes another one opens!

So the clubs turn over has increased at suxfields. You learn something new every day.

Is that why ARVO have had to put in a shed load of cash as share options? Because of all the extra revenue being earned at suxfields?

TBF Callum is the model of a home grown lad done good who doesn't want to leave any time soon. I'm not sure the comparison to Clarke is apt.

That said, if we accept much higher bids than have come in I think we've done OK, the question (as the OP put) is what will we do with that money? It's only worth selling if it improves your squad. (that's not me saying that BTW, that's a quote from Waggot).

You have to look at the longer term bigger picture, for God's sake it's not rocket science, is it?

Still don't understand why we couldn't wait it out at the Ricoh while we're drawing the bigger picture though.

If SISU done rocket science, all cats, dogs and monkeys would go into hiding.

Your summary and accessment are accurate and the simple answer is I don't know but the history of our club suggests to me that 'throwing money at the problem' is not always the answer and in the past by gambling and failing we've incured even more debt.

So you think 3-5 years at sixfields is short term pain ????

It is what it is and it's out of both yours and my control.

Unfortunately for the majority of the fans who still can't see the wood from the trees and do understand that the rental model we've been forced to endure both at Highfield Road & the Ricoh cannot continue and in the current climate will never ever work.

So we have to move forward, onwards & upwards!

You have just put SISU's whole tenure into perspective, silly me for not seeing the wood from the trees.

I suggest that YOU "Get a grip" mate. Have a word with your mates, Septic, Fisher, Waggot, and Labbo. Ask them why they have paid out on a minimum of 7 lawyers to attack a Charity with money that could have been invested in a half decent team of footballers. Oops sorry! they wouldn't know which armpit to look under to find a good player would they? You know what I mean, to play that game that they've already forgotten what CCFC stands for.

The reason I started this thread was to show that the lad has become an (unexpected by sisu) commodity. The sale of this boy will finance our time in Northampton for the next few years, but we are being told we will only sell to improve the team?

When Wilson's sold, I can tell you exactly where the money will end up.... the Cyaman Islands. If you think SP will see any of it, you're deluded and stupid.
