Has anyone got where it was stated that the two parties would hear prior to W/C 30th.

I was under the impression the barristers would only find out then when your honour was passing through Birmingham and it was more likely to be Tuesday.

MR JUSTICE HICKINBOTTOM: Thank you, Mr Thompson. I will
21 obviously reserve judgment. I will in the usual way
22 send round a draft of the judgment before I hand it
23 down. I can't say when I'll hand it down. Firstly,
24 I would want to hand it down in Birmingham. I'm next in
25 Birmingham in the week of 30 June and I would hope to hand it down that week.

Seems to imply draft copy is sent this week if it hasn't already.

"It's good to talk". Great news, Michael. You have started a ball rolling, let's see how far it goes. As to the opinion that it should be TF or JS arranging a meeting, not ML - I'm sure that TF (or even JS) has given the OK and ML is being the errand boy.

Hmmmmm, interesting (if we're reading/interpreting it correctly).

No problem. I think everyone saying it should be JS and TF are missing something.

It can't really be them as both of them are universally hated and have spouted loads of stuff and ML is only one left who can not lose face as it were.

They will talk I'm sure although I but the terms will be negotiated probably like 7000 attendance as what this does is allows sisu to budget higher for new players and future income.

That is the first positive step towards sorting this mess out, it's been a constant drip feed of bad news, spin and hiding behind courts by all parties for too long... Lets hope it bring better news in the future and better times for a club falling very fast into a place that would be very hard to recover from.. Its clear by all parties involved they need each other and if another party can brooker a deal fair play...

Congrats to all that worked towards this hope its works out

Pressure still has to be kept on SISU to behave.. give them an inch & they'll take a mile.

So, does this mean SISU have had some bad news (for them) about the JR, I hope so.. I really do.
NAH! Probably heard that they won the JR and now thinking on his feet we can scam the group for free rent & match day costs as well (well thats what i would do)

Even though MO has done a great job getting the offer this far. However let us remember who he has to negotiate with. To date Sisu's negotiating prowess and tactics have not benefited CCFC.
So lets cut MO a little slack remember Rome wasn't built in a day !!

The trouble with all this hopeful optimism,is that ignores 1 salient point. If and its a very big if ,a new rental deal is agreed, it means SISU are then giving ,be it indirectly money to their sworn enemy ACL. Which would beg the question what was the whole last 12 months in Northampton for, if it wasn't to distress ACL.

This is it though houdi. That's still the case though isn't it. ACL survived just on 1.3m a year rent. By going back for 3 years on a make shift rental agreement doesn't see ACL rocket up in value. Yes it gives some ACL some income but not enough to survive.

Whereas Coventry fans like any fans are fickle. Yes some won't come back til sisu have gone but most will come back like me as I don't like sisu but playing in Coventry is the priority whoever the owners and for our club to survive so I can get past the owners if we are playing in Coventry as my football club survives.

If we draw crewe in the jpt semi final you don't think it will be a sell out again? 100% it will be. So ccfc will therefore be a lot better off than ACL.

So no I don't agree it helps ACL at all. It only benefits ccfc and therefore sisu.

Well it clearly benefits ACL as it gives them a rental income they haven't had this past 12 months. Indeed if it didn't help ACL at all, then why would ACL accept the offer, I'm sure being charitable to SISU isn't top of their priorities. ACL claim they can survive without the football club, and indeed have already offered a deal of around £100k, which was rejected last year. Plus of course ACL are still presumably owed £590k, which should greatly improve their cash flow.

My phone can be temperamental and I'm juggling things this afternoon but quick update seems to be that I txted ML, saying I could do mon tues or thurs next week (I also said thurs this week but he said he's not in coventry this week). He seems to have mentioned again doing a phone call but given the need for clear understanding a meeting has got to be best way forward. I know I am being deliberately very cautious and playing this with a straight bat but I don't want to risk any confusion over what was/wasn't agreed, who said what etc cos we'd then end up further away from a solution not nearer to one.

Unless you can get access to a conference facility and if all parties are happy for it to be recorded for clarity?

I completely agree. No phone calls at this stage but a proper face to face meeting. I presume you will have your advisors with you at this meeting to ensure the offer you are making is water tight and clear.

The other thing to bear in mind is that Labovitch has no authority and ultimately it is Joys call. It will be important to understand what her position is on this. For years we have heard Fisher saying one thing etc in meeting with acl and then Seppala says another.

If we did come back, and tickets were priced right, it'd be interesting to see what the crowds would be.
A decent start would no doubt make all the difference.

Yes I agree but you seen to be missing the point. ACL will have a worth and just because through a third party 3 year rental deal if it happened ACL are all of a sudden going to shoot up in value is it?

Sisu don't want the break ACL as it were and get the Ricoh on the cheap as often been muted. I don't believe this theory as council can still keep sisu out regardless so still wouldn't benefit sisu. What the 3 years allows is sisu to build their stadium they have 100% assured us of. So what do they care about ACL? See what I mean.

Unless you are going to get official minutes signed by both parties (that seems hardly appropriate) I would have thought an e- mail with full details of the offer followed by an initial phone call to gauge interest would be fine.

Does anyone on here actually now the details of what is being offered to SISU to try and lure them back to the Ricoh? Because to me it just seems like someone is saying 'we will pay for the Ricoh, unless you get over 5000 then you can pay for it yourself' knowing full well it will be over 5000?

If a penny goes to ACL I can't see SISU agreeing.

If they do then they may as well deal with ACL.

We all know the only reason we are not at the Ricoh is because SISU hope ACL get to breaking point.

If you ask that question you are a member of the sisu social club apparantly.

If ML can't be bothered to get up to Coventry the signs aren't good. Its ludricous to require a face to face meeting.

Michael, it might be worth being restrictive on what you share on here until you've met/spoken to ML. I've no doubt that CCFC staff read this forum so I wouldn't share too much before (even though I would like you too).

They'll be trusting in you from a confidentiality point of view, not only post meeting but pre as well.

I am not trying to knock anyone's efforts, I was just wondering if someone could put me straight about why SISU would be interested?
