Hounded on the 1000 post thread to answer questions accusing him of being a publicity seeker and even saying he is as bad a Sisu.

And from who the usual we support the club better then you crew.

And before you ask no I will not trawl thou those threads for quotes just go back and read them for yourself..

Should all be ashamed of yourselves , even if Michael is fucked over he did it in good faith.

Shame because you lot will be pleased just so that you can goad and take the piss...

I asked him simple, constructive questions.

It wasn't me comparing him to SISU, it was people who were "defending" him comparing him to SISU by saying he doesn't need to answer questions as SISU don't.

I didn't abuse him, get personal or say anything out of line. I made sure of it as I don't want solicitors getting angry again do I? ;)

I also said a few times I hope Michael doesn't get done over.

Grown ups we tried that once where did it get us?

Oh yes in Northampton and in court.

This gets more farcical by the minute. You are dealing way out of your comfort zone. A phone call? Well that says it all.
I'm sorry to piss on your parade but I've said all I can say on this previously.

let the grown ups get on with it and the chips fall where they may...

Cheers, LAST. With the combination of England and this will we meet/won't meet mini saga my early morning optimism has disappeared. Have repeatedly said we'd be delighted to meet to discuss and offered dates etc but just being knocked back with 'telephone call only'. It's actually a really sad indictment of the situation. I can't think of another situation in my entire life when I wouldn't be more than happy to discuss things over the phone but there are several people involved in this and previous 'confusion' 'misunderstanding' 'quoted out of context' etc has left people feeling once bitten twice shy so to speak. I'm calling it a day. If sisu want to meet to discuss they know how to contact me. If they want to respond to the offer by email that would be fine too. But the stakes are just too high for this to descend into who said what etc etc etc in a phone call

Michael the other week I conducted a deal for my company for £419,000 purely over the phone. I never met the individual and the individual never saw the product. If you have a phone phobia I don't. I'm bloody good at negotiation.

PM me details of backers what's involved and I will set up a call. We will have it as a conference call and you can just listen in. This cannot be dismissed as you want pick up a phone.

Is that the new technical version of Monopoly? :) In my day you used to just do deals over the board.

So ML calls for parties to talk promising no more spin and its ok,, but someone who care's more than doing it to get paid is shot down for trying. Are some jealous because someone is getting stuff done and they are not involved!!!.. Me i would prefer Micheal or anyone to fail trying then failing to try,, i would suggest most let this process run and decide once parties have finished talking before pointing fingers,, surely we are all fed up with looking for blame and want closure...Stop crying stop wasting energy and support any possibility of a return home....

Come on the products you sell really sell them selves don't they? nothing to do with negotiation. easy to sell when you have a quality world brand...

Must admit though you really are good at bullshit!! so would probably pull this off.

This whole thing is all about a headline in kcic's next newsletter. I am speechless.

It hardly bodes well though does it? At the very first hurdle there is not enough will to succeed to talk on the phone? We can't even get to 'hello'

Well I scrapped off £52,000 worth of screws today, 219 of them to be precise.

In this instance no they were "forgotten stock" - love phone deals I get a buzz from it. Its only an initial exploration as to if the deal is a possibility - it only should be telecommunication now anyway.

I don't agree with most you say and don't give a fuck who gets headlines, i'm sick to death of everyone second guessing. The one thing we would agree on is we have to play at home and any chance is positive and should outweigh who made what call, who said this or posted that... We together need our club back in Coventry, anything else means nothing, because another season in NTFC could mean the death of the club as we know it...And all parties know this...

Maybe Michael and ML could Skype? Or Chat Roullette?

This thread absolutely epitomizes what we have become as Coventry supporters. For shame on those who have done this to us.

As I said before, if I was Michael I wouldn't bother if some of the tiresome fans on this board are the norm.
However they are not and this board is dominated by posters full of their own importance. Grendel with his £400k deal and offer to take over is probably one of the highlights of it. Taken me a few minutes before I cleared the tears from my eyes to post this.
Michael please continue with the process, go with you gut feeling and ignore these people, the majority of fans need you to continue. Make the call.

Christ this is getting silly.

I met TF briefly a week or so ago, and he said he was prepared to meet again, face-to-face, to talk about the football side of things. And that's me, one fan, deeply cynical, and with not a penny to bring to the table. I had a lot of respect for that.

And now we get ML refusing to meet face-to-face to discuss something of potentially far greater importance, and there are people here trying to defend that?

All this bullshit about negotiating multi-million deals on the phone is presumably aimed at trying to make Michael look small.

Asking to meet to discuss this properly and formally, is a perfectly reasonable request. Given how ML has been bending over backwards to meet small groups of fans or even individuals, but is now refusing to do this, is remarkable. That the blame for this failing is somehow pushed in the other direction, even more so.

Edit: Ceasefire. Could this really be a technical misunderstanding (a.k.a. a Byng moment). Read on to Bennett's Afro (#140) below...

you slate grendel yet he is also saying 'make the call'.
As for people being full of their own importance, is it not you that comes on here every five minutes to declare the cessation of your support, because sisu might see it and bring the club home?

Brilliant criticize Michael for wnting a face to face meeting and not a phone call, but leave ML alone for wanting a phone call and not a face to face meeting. But then again who the hell does Michael think he is,we all know this is all his fault dont we? In the spirit of RFC HEEEEELLLLLPPPPPPP

Michael, you have the support of so many, yet it's these moments that define people and life, if you choose not to see this through then I hold nothing against you, but what I would suggest is make the call, conference call it, record it, just get it over the line.. If you can help bring the Club home, your not just helping the Club and the fans, you are doing a service to the City and the population of it and being a Cov boy I can't understand any other motive than that..

Hmm I have heard the same about them meeting all fans, something sounds fishy about it? They have recently seemed very happy to meet fans, even joy.

Have they said they refuse to meet or just they want a quick chat first?

Anybody guess the headlines tomorrow?

I spoke to the club earlier and they have tried to call michael all day. He won't pick up apparently.

Also Hoffman is the man behind the bid

When you spoke to them, did they say they'd meet Michael?

Since you're obviously in a position of knowledge and have the club's ear, would you be prepared to broker the arrangement?

Forgive me, it sounds like you might be engaged in a little cheap sniping here, but perhaps I've misunderstood.

Think that Michael has been used by people who should know better.

Don't think that anybody doubts Michael's dedication to KCIC, and has had some spectacular successes with some of his campaigns.

Obvious choice for a (generally) non-partizan figurehead that pretty much everybody could get behind.

Shamefully, it looks like he's now been left high and dry by his backers when it comes to getting to nitty gritty detail, and he's left whistling in the wind.

I just hope that Michael is ok, as he's taken a lot on himself with this, with little or no real back-up from what i can see.

These "mystery businessmen" should be ashamed of themselves.

Again tbf I'd want to know anything was serious before meeting face to face, and a quick phone call can reassure on that...

Grendel has made a very fair offer, I feel, and is trying to do something to get the club back. Surely as we all want Coventry in Coventry he should be allowed the chance to help out as he has offered?

Think when I have met ML he's always been approachable and given his time to explain the situation! All he needs to do is get a meeting sorted and get talking no point holding it off! It would make so much sense if this is Hoffman, so similar to his big idea last summer, but maybe he wanted to do it behind closed doors this time. If it is him he needs to go to the meeting too!

The club said they would meet with Michael. As Michael posted earlier, Labovitch isn't in Coventry this week and wants to sort something out next week. They have tried to call him but he won't answer. There is nothing for me to broker. Michael just needs to answer his phone to the club and a meeting is scheduled. It could even be done by text or email probably
