kcic statement (20 Viewers)

The impression I got, and I may be wrong, is that ML wanted a discussion about the offer over the phone rather than in person.

Hard to get an impression of anything if people don't answer the phone though I'd have thought?

Sorry have I got this straight, basically an attempt is being made to return the club to the city, which I think is excellent and I thank the team for its work, but rather than finer detail about finances etc the two sides cant even agree on a suitable way to contact each other.

I could weep, or laugh hysterically. Still regarding CCFC its par for the course.

I've said previously that contrary to the view of many, I think sisu are brilliant at pr eg the new stadium is sheer genius because you can't prove a negative so it's impossible to prove sisu won't build one.

Similarly with this. A formal written offer was made privately with time for a response before going public, as a way of getting us back to the Ricoh (when - and apols in advance if I'm wrong - sisu/ccc/fl/acl/fa/trust/back to ricoh group between them are doing precisely sweet fa to get us home). A week later not a jot of progress has been made but ML has successfully got people on here (though not on FB and twitter) arguing about anything but being at the Ricoh. This last week is just leaving me utterly, utterly depressed (although in even greater awe of sisu's pr than ever)

you were anti sisu going into negotiations so it was always doomed to failure i guess.

i honestly thought you were gonna be the bigger man though.

Well, that's all well and good. We know about SISU. What about you? ML said he would ring you. Has he? If so, have you answered or not? Are you digging your heels in and insisting on an email instead?

Be straight with us now, cut out all the bullshit, are you going to call him or take his call or not?

We haven't got as far as negotiations, because no one can decide how to contact each other. Fucking pathetic.

Michael, can't you even answer simple questions? You moan about SISU trying to talk about other things than getting back at the Ricoh and arguing but you are hardly helping the situation are you?

These questions should be easy to answer:

1. Have SISU received a more detailed offer with in depth details and plans about the offer or just the letter we have all seen?
2. Why can't you just be open about the offer and if it is so great, just let that do the talking?

You moan about people arguing, but have you read the threads to see why? You moan about people not knowing anything and lack of transparency causing arguments but refuse to answer simple questions and dodge them with copy and paste replies?

It is all well and good you going on about ML doing this for PR and doing that, but you were the one who ran straight to the CET about it and write "statements" about it.

You mention about the new stadium, but as it stands at the minute they have answered more questions than your offer (whether we believe them or not)

The old saying is "You can't kid a kidder".

Said that all along, don't stoop to their level and try and play games. Don't hide away from questions and use the excuse "well sisu don't answer questions". Show them how it is done and have your head held high, if it fails then fair play for trying and doing the opposite to every people dislike about SISU.

I agree. However, Tony and Jack are just stoking the ego with the "yeah, email is the way to go in the 21st Century, etc etc". I'll bet my left nut that if it was ML saying he wanted to email then they'd both be bleating that a phone call is what was needed. It's fucking stupid. If Michael is refusing calls then what level of professionalism does that show? After days of refusing to answer simple questions on the deal it's a poor show all round, it really is.

let me know when your left nut is ready for collection.

i repeat, i ML is going to take this offer seriously send an email and copy in the relevant parties from sisu so everyone is in the loop, micheal can then reply to all those contacts and copy in all his relevant parties. to suggest it should be done in any other way is nonsense and its just the usual idiots pissing on someones parade while looking for excuses for sisu (gets ready for a "where have i made excuses for sisu comment" from you know who).

Start as you mean to go on. ML will not be making the decision on his own if at all and a quick phone call quite frankly is not taking this offer seriously and taking the piss not only out of KCIC but anyone who wants a return of the club to its rightful place.

Look, just answer the fucking phone, then send him an email stating exactly what the offer is,with all bells and whistles attached.

Stop making statements to the press or anybody else, and get on the phone.

I think Michael has stated "just one email from sisu is all that's needed " to get the ball rolling.

We have all seen how things can get mixed up when people talk - ballons on cars; private meetings with fans; he said this; she said that. Recording a phone call, again, something can be said in the spur of the moment.

In fairness to not only Michael, but ML/SISU too, and email can be composed, examined, then send, dissected, rationalised. Both parties need to cover their backs, and also have hard evidence that can be presented later to fans, the media, and (god fucking help us) to lawers!

kcic's sole interest (unlike it appears anyone else at all) is doing something concrete to get us back to the ricoh. kcic has played this dead straight. The offer was made formally and privately. Time was given for a response before going public. We were led to believe yesterday morning by a third party that sisu wanted talks. I have sent several txts to ML offering times and dates and been nothing other than completely polite. I did receive an email this morning and replied "Great! Mark, please just email me details for meeting and I will share with colleagues". I have not as yet received a response. I am not going to get into games of illegally recording a telephone call as has been suggested on here! If a simple email is too much trouble for sisu then I really can't see what more kcic can do. As I said, I'm completely and utterly depressed but credit where it's due and well played to ML for the way he has spun this - kcic as an informal fans' group just can't compete with sisu's pr expertise

Ignoring all the to and fro personal stuff - if both KCIC and SISU are serious about discussing the offer, then a preliminary meeting would have been set by now. We don't need to know any detail on the offer at the moment until after this meeting, if deemed appropriate by both parties. No details should be discussed over the phone. PR stuff to be ignored in future (by both SISU - although I already did, and others).

So if a Phone call isn't the way to do things, why on earth was Michael sending out emails every week saying "Pick up the phone?"

Just answer his calls, see what he wants and crack on with arranging a meet up. Is there an issue with discussing the actual small details like "how much?" on the phone before meeting up? I wouldn't bother travelling to buy a used car if I phoned them and asked them a couple of basic questions to find out first to judge whether it was even worth my time.

People moan about PR this and Media that but it is never an issue when you are sending them a copy of the offer letter a couple of minutes after the silly 48 hour deadline put on it, then within a short time their reporter has an "opinion" piece on it and the Trust release a statement.

If you don't want the PR and media involved and ML apparently just doing this to divert fans, then don't fucking run to the press in the first place and do it behind closed doors. You started a press battle in the first place.

Id given up on all this bollocks and was off to the rugby next year but... so if its been suggested already i apologise. But cant someone who is able to contact ML or TF ask them a direct question of what it would take to instigate discussions with Michael. Free reign to suggest what they want. If SISU cant do a deal on this I guess the club really doesnt matter to them.

So are you saying you haven't had any missed calls from ML? Simple yes or no will do.

Have SISU had more details than the original letter? Simple yes or no.

Michael, you are moaning about PR and spinning but again you are doing exactly what you are moaning about..... If you don't want a PR / Media battle then keep it private and don't run to the press and make statements in the first place.

like i've said all along. Sisu dont need the services of a WS type PR company there is too many "fans" on here, GMK and in the SCG doing that service for free.

if nothing comes of this, these "fans" deserve sisu and the destruction they have brought to our club. luckily you are the minority as the crowds at suxfields confirm.

Jesus, have you read all of the stuff about this offer? Nobody is doing their PR, they are just stating the obvious.

"Fans" like Tony don't "need" to "read" anything. Everything to them is "black" and "white".

As I have said before this deal offer in my opinion has put SISU behind the black ball, which way do they go ? Publically they will lose even more face if they just reject it, someone is losing shed full of money with this Sixfields farce and I believe will lose more paying supporters this season and remember this proposal comes with an offer to buy the club too, not yet rejected

I just find it all bizarre Michael, seems to me both sides are being a little ridiculous. Maybe you could email and phone simultaneously, save all the arguments.

One of the biggest problems that our supporters have with SISU is the way that they spin the truth. They will know this. To me if they were being serious about this offer they would make sure that all the evidence of the offer is in the open. If they are going to spin their way out of the offer for obvious reasons they will want to keep it as secretly as they can so they can spin the no into a way that makes it look like everyone else's fault but their own.

The offer to buy the club was rejected straight off...

I see your point in "pick up the phone", though this could be interpreted as any means of communication. And while yes, many people would use the phone as an initial ice breaker, or to see if something is worth persuing in earnest, Michaels probably been advised that any contact should be documented. Hence sending a text rather than speaking.

If this is the case, really can't blame him going on past histories between all the major players. If a couple of people from here were to chat over the phone, who's to say what was REALLY discussed. And which person would you believe?

Yes it is, and Michael is doing exactly the same by not being able to answer yes or no questions ;)

Yes, and maybe there is an issue about emails since the CET were BCC'ed into correspondence?

Its all he said she said, but the fact is just answer the calls and you don't have to disclose anything you don't want to do you?

And what about Michael refusing to answer questions or give details of the offer? He's being no better than SISU.
