kcic statement (3 Viewers)

No it is a statement at that time. As I said I think this has put SISU behind the black ball because the 2 things are linked the Ricoh rent proposal and getting the sale of the club in with it, that is what negotiation is all about and this Sixfields debacle is now costing big money to someone. Of course the first statement will be the club is not for sale, Ronaldo wasn't for sale was he.

And what about Michael refusing to answer questions or give details of the offer? He's being no better than SISU.
He doesn't need to answer questions, it is only between him and SISU, nothing to do with us....

To be honest, the more I think about this, the more the secrecy and non-verbal communication makes sense.

KCIC's backers, along with SISU, would more likely want privacy in negotiating the best options for both sides. Lets be honest lads, WE can't make any difference. Only the warring parties. In a sense, it isn't anything to do with us.

So, unfortunately, I can appreciate if the money men want to keep things confidential for the time being ... though Michael, even if his hands are tied, COULD let us know if this is the case so we can stop all the mud slinging and conspiracy theories.

I did receive an email this morning and replied "Great! Mark, please just email me details for meeting and I will share with colleagues". I have not as yet received a response.

Not being funny, but if I get an email in the morning I rarely get time to answer it until the afternoon, because I have meetings and other work to attend to. Just because you haven't had a reply within the space of a few hours doesn't mean they aren't going to respond at all.

SISU may play a horrid game, but you just make it easy for them by throwing your toys out of the pram.

COuldn't agree more. This should all have been done in private. SISU are no doubt very good at spin as Michael likes to point out. However his Marvin The Paranoid Android impressions and unprofessional comments and press releases make the chances of a deal as remote as a City Cup win in 2014/15

I agree, so keep it in private without running to the press and making statements ;)

So you and Torch want Michael to tell you all of the details and also to keep the details a secret?

No wonder why most of us are in disagreement on what he should do and say when there are two of us that want him to tell us everything whilst keeping it a secret :D

No, read what I put.

If he didn't want to release it or for people to know or to have a PR battle then don't put a silly deadline on it before you go to the press.

I am surprised it is not TF dealing with this.

He lives local.

He i believe has the ability to agree in principle before confirming with Joy.

He i believe is the CEO.

ML's position is to review the decisions made by JS and TF giving an external opinion.

Also TF is very quick to meet people.

Michael would it be worth emailing TF asking for a meeting?

FYI Michael:

Under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (RIPA), it is not illegal for individuals to tape conversations provided the recording is for their own use.Recording or monitoring is only prohibited where some of the contents of the communication are made available to a third party. If a person intends to make the conversation available, they must get the consent of the person being recorded.
Journalists often record phone conversations but can only use what is said for research purposes if they have not told the person. If they want to publish quotes or broadcast what has been said they need to inform the person that the conversation is being taped.

Although we'd all love you to live stream the phonecall, there's nothing illegal in recording it per se and if it's just that you want a record for future reference.

Michael, can you clear something up for me?

1. Did ML ever call you?
2. When speaking via however you did with ML, did he say it would ONLY be via phone or that he just wanted a quick call to clear a couple of things before meeting?
3. How has the correspondence gone? Have you acted like you do on here where you completely ignore anything said and just post the same thing over and over?

Remind me how well informed KCiC kept the fan base of their offer?

Oh, forgot. That's different.

Remind me how well informed sisu kept the fan base of the ACL offer through the FL?

1. I'm so depressed
2. I have to salute the SISU spin machine. Oh, and I'm so depressed.

FFS. How difficult can this thing be?

...and how well did ACL, Hoffman etc. convey their "offers"...blah blah blah.

This is all bullshit.

Personally, from what I understand based on the very limited info we have on the Kcic fronted "offer"....its a total non-starter as a business proposal...

...The only plus I can see within it is IF it manages to start a dialogue......which is tricky if one party won't write a fucking email & the other party won't answer the fucking phone. Pathetic.

This club has been plagued with amateurs, jokers & idiots for way way too long.

Of course it's bullshit. Tony sees things from one side. If there's even a hint of another side to the story then he sticks his fingers in his ears and goes "la, la, la, Suxfields, la, la, la, etc".

I wish Jan had had this idea. It might have been handled better. And why didn't Hoff or Elliot (or whoever it is behind this) just contact the club directly?

This is hilarious!

What kind of amateurs are you at KCIC?

Oh wait a minute, you sent an email to ML and said something like: "here are some details for a way forward which would get you back at the Ricoh, based on the fact you can't do it yourselves but a little group like us can assist you? What do you think?"

Email is sent back from ML but Michael to my knowledge does not disclose what he said in it? What we do understand so far is according to the local press SISU would like to discuss it. What, the press guy knows this? How come!?

OK so Michael refuses to accept a phone call and is insisting on a meeting?!

Just what world are you silly people in?

If there is some serious offer to take the club forward then those investors need to be doing it themselves, not a little pressure group. Only then would I expect SISU to take it seriously. Sounds like all the spin is from Michael and ML has done nothing yet!

Frankly if the guy HAS said give me a call lets have a chat then that's your first port of call. You want to be persuasive in your endeavours then leave no stone unturned and don't rile the very person you are hoping to deal with.

Michael spends his time on an online fans forum spinning it for all it's worth and getting less worldly people slapping his back in adulation for his efforts. All a bit weird.

Fantasy land. What exactly are you offering that SISU could not promote themselves? As you have used this forum to announce your bidding them please release said details of offer or please stop raising false hopes for all the fans that cling to every minute possibility we may have a solution.

The solution will come when SISU decide and the council decide they will listen. Nothing you or shadowy investors will change that.

And mostly if not entirely from people who are not directly involved.. sometimes the best thing is to shut up & let the real decision makers get on with it.

It looks to me as though Michael's trying to put this beyond the realms of spin, by offering a straightforward, face-to-face meeting between the main players.

All ML has to say is "let's meet", and name the time and place. If email is Michael's preferred medium for that initial contact, for whatever reason, then what's the big deal?

For ML to avoid setting up the meeting looks a lot like he, and therefore SISU, are trying to evade talking about the rent offer.

They're entitled to do that, I'd just rather they were honest about it.

No, that's a bit different IMHO. Making a general outline of the plan public shows the fans that something is being attempted to break the deadlock, without breaking the confidentiality of the backers. It documented by the press and not verbal heresay, so no chinese whispers like "apparently, KCIC have been talking to SISU" or "the word in Bennos canteen is" etc. Getting the idea out this way also puts a bit of pressure on SISU to consider it, or state the reasons why they dismiss it.

Pressley's made us aware, through the press/club web site, that he's made several offers to transfer targets during the summer transfer window. Thats to let the fans know that there is (apparently) moves behind the scenes to bring in new players. I don't think any of us would contact Pressley, demanding to know who these transfer targets are how much we've offered for them?

You can still answer simple questions without breaking confidential agreements isnt there? Don't tell me he can't say whether ML has actually tried to call him or not because it is confidential? I don't expect him to even name the backers (even though they are pretty obvious) or anything confidential but when simple questions can't be answered it rings alarm bells, the same as "where is the stadium" but the difference is at least you get half a riddle of an answer from SISU rather than straight up ignored.

Michael is just doing as much spinning in this instance but to be fair he is going to try and out-spin somebody who makes a living out of it and I fear it may end up messy :(

If you know somebody is amazing at boxing, the best way of attack isn't to walk up to them and offer them a boxing match is it?

Where's the spin. Do SISU want to meet Michael or not?

Are you saying that Michael and the other players are just pretending that they want to meet ML?

Guys, I follow the Cov story with interest but this has got me laughing my head off.

Have I got this right?.. The supporters group want to make an agreement about paying the rent. The Club says they'll consider the idea. But it's going nowhere because they can't agree whether to speak by phone or email?

Doesn't bode well for more detailed agreements...

Just out of interest, Nick. When ML made contact with regard to meeting people from this forum - did he insist on a phone call to sort it all out?

Hence I asked if ml has said they won't meet and it's calls only or just a courtesy call first?
