kcic statement (31 Viewers)

No, that's fair enough I guess. I take your point. I'm still of the opinion that SISU don't want to talk about the offer, and what Michael's done would be entirely reasonable in normal circumstances. However there's nothing normal about SISU and the way they do business.

Having thought this through, I think I'd just try to shut down all options for escape, and say something like, we'll talk to SISU anytime, anyplace, anywhere (including on the telephone, at least to start with). If SISU say they don't want to talk, then people can decide why for themselves.

I know, so call their bluff :) Just answer the phone and don't make it easy for them to say "well he didn't even answer his phone and we called him 20 times". Work with them rather than against them. If it all comes out that they refuse to do anything about it then fair play you tried, but you are the bigger person as you went the right way about it and didn't resort to pettiness.

Then don't come on here posting about them or making statements within 3 or 4 minutes as it is hardly helping the situation is it?

The medium isn't the problem it's the presentation. Who's offer was it? Byng?

No Byng's was the "whoops the email didn't send". Hoffman's was "It's not on headed paper" and now we have "We don't accept phone calls".

Couldn't fucking make it up. Only our club could spectacularly fuck up information transmission in so many ways, so often, in the Information Age.

I could almost accept this crap in 1970 when fax, phone and postman were your options.

Remember the offer to Orange Ken that he said yes SISU will agree to this.

Then he discovered if it went through he would not be allowed to stay on as chairman.

Then he slated the offer to SISU talking about things such as letter headed paper and naming people etc....

Struggle to get that one out of my mind. If that 'twat' (a term i rarely use) had not done that I would imagine we would be at the Ricoh right now with new owners.

I think when certain people have been involved before with such dealings and have shown that they can't be trusted it's very hard to do anything on the fly...Once bitten twice shy is a very apt saying for this situation so ML should reply to the mail, except, decline copy in whoever he wants and also state if hus reply cannot be shown to the public...

Its easy, but maybe by not replying its a sign that the JR has gone the way of Sisu then i would understand ML stance

What confuses me is, if SISU can have such discussions why can't they come out publicly and stipulate what short term rent deal they want to return to the Ricoh.

What deal were they looking for when TF asked previously (when no one believed a ground share was possible).

Why go through this fans group palaver.

I still think they want to be at Northampton for three years to try and break ACL.

Unless they genuinely believe that if they lose the JR that ACL can carry on without the club?

It's what both sides do. After all ACL decided to go through the FL.

3 years wont be enough to break ACL and say they did, how do they get the ricoh? I would want them firmly away as possible.

No, read what I put.

If he didn't want to release it or for people to know or to have a PR battle then don't put a silly deadline on it before you go to the press.

I don't agree. He could have given them three weeks. That would have taken them until at least the end of next season.

I think they were hoping for a combination of starving ACL of funds and a reverse of the loan so that costs ACL more money. They get themselves back to the position where they offer ridiculously low amounts for ACL again and carry on with their hard ball negotiations.

Yes I can see that but what if the loan is not reversed which it most likely wont be?

Yes but most fans see SISU as the biggest protagonist in this.

This is mostly because ACL made several offers public knowledge after SISU rejected them.

If SISU want to be financially better off and turn the tables on ACL and start to win the fans over, they should publicly say what short rent deal they want to come back.

However they won't do this as they want ACL to financially struggle which is why I believe this proposal is doomed

That's what I am saying. Do they know it isn't and do they now believe ACL can survive without them. Are they finally going to talk and if so don't do it via a third party.....

and that's exactly my point ive been barking on about. If ACl/SISU know the result then sisu will want back so publically show what your hand is and what would suit and back ccc into a corner to accept. Incidentally they both probably know the result by now.

ACL wont be starved out in 3 years without a loan reversal as next year it will host more than likely big events again and concentrate more on the business than court dates. Staying In Northampton for another 2 years would be apart from financial suicide, pointless.

To be honest if CCFC don't return to the RIcoh then it'll be mutually assured destruction for all sides.

The fact of the overall issue is that this stance between acl and sisu is costing them both money. Acl aren't making money and Sisu have lost revenue by moving to ntfc. Sisu may not have received the pie money but the club was receiving more income from ticket sales and sponsorship. Acl have lost income from a tenant.

The situation is bonkers and they both need each other. Personal pride, big egos and selfishness by all has led ultimately to the fans suffering.

It's now time for acl and sisu regardless of middle men to grow some balls and act like responsible companies to bring the club home.

Whoever is to blame for this; and we all have different views, this farce has to stop.

I took in last week's England game at the casino, and whilst it may not be perfect and not many wanted to move from Highfield Road - it's what we do have and we should be using it. The England game was okay there, reasonable numbers of people watching it, easy to get beer and food until 3am. Again, it's not perfect, but for a matchday, or non-matchday proposition, it's better than many have. Such a shame that it divides us and doesn't unite us as it was intended

The FA have pretty much said come the end of the third year if there is not sufficient progress in the stadium then we will be expelled from the league.

Just wish they would take back the golden share and put it up to auction for anybody who can make it work in Coventry, punishing the owners and not the fans for once.

That's where I got the bug. Went on honeymoon there a couple of years ago, never gambled before came back loving BlackJack only to find it's totally different here.

I find it strange that a few weeks ago when the 'secret meetings' became public knowledge we were told ML would happily meet anyone but now he seems unable to find time to meet on something like this.

He confirmed meeting me via the medium of mobile phone...
