Didn't Nick email him earlier?

Was waiting for the OK to post something I think he said.

It's okay I am sick of this, so on my lunch tomorrow I will speak to the Club directly and request Mark Labovich's contact details and ask him the question..

Good luck with that, do you know where the send email button is so you can make sure he knows..

Yes, I'm not quoting but my impression is that ml tried to call Michael a few times to have a quick chat about it with the full intention of meeting up.

Ml asked Michael if he was ok to call as it's much easier to discuss on the phone rather than waiting for email to come neck and forth to which Michael replied he was giving up and he was sad that ml wouldn't discuss it with him even though ml was asking to speak?

Obviously this is one side of it.

What if Robo's on the phone emailing Michael what Labovitch says, will that do?

I recommend carrier pigeon.

If Labovitch sends his out around now, he might have the basic answers about backers and financial deal round about July.

Or... we could be waiting until August to find out if Labovitch agrees that SISU are no good for the club.

Reminded me of this story, I imagine it isn't true, but still a laff..
Duncan Ferguson is obsessed with racing, homing pigeons. Now, a few years ago when Duncan Ferguson went from Everton to Newcastle United (for £7.5 million), he took his racing pigeons with him.

Apparently, the first time he took them somewhere and released them, he went to his home (to his new home) and waited for them to return but his pigeons flew to their home (to his previous home). Ferguson waited and waited for them and couldn't understand why they didn't come home to him!

So why is labo commenting?

As a "Non Executive Director" what say has he? None I would have thought.

After all Tim made a decision with CCC and ACL only to be embarrassed by Joy overruling him.

Joy is the only one who should be responding if she can speak to some supporters in a local bar, why can't she speak to someone who may have a resolution to our dilemma......

Don't send your spin Doctor who will only try to humiliate and then blame you for all their short comings? Wouldn't trust him with my dead Goldfish.

What if Michael calls Labo and Labo doesn't answer as he's replying to Robos e-mail?

So many fu*king outcomes here...we need some sort of JR to sort this communication out...

Because somebody asked me to email him to ask??

Why isn't Michael answering questions or picking up his phone? Why doesn't he come on here and set the record straight?

Don't be ridiculous.
I think our mystery businessman is telling Michael what to say.

To be serious for a second (but only a second or I'll crack) he has said that it's his backers that don't want to deal on the phone. All of my ire is aimed at them (unless it's funny).

That'll be his silent, faceless backers, the kind of backers CCFC fans fancy as a change from the usual openness and clarity we're used to?

I think all of anything should be aimed at them to be fair, he should just out if it all goes to shit (rather than be in the firing line) them as I have no doubt that others will.

Woah woah woah. No-one said they wanted the "takeover bid" to go through unanswered. But the rent deal (in that it is a deal at all, as opposed to a front to save face) I couldn't care less who is backing it TBH, it's not like it'll actually cost them any money on those terms.

The fact that ML seems to do all the fan PR and media could be taken either way:

1) Everyone's gone through ML to get to Joy AFAIK, so it's the first step.
OR
2) They're not taking it seriously so have put the PR team on it.

I'm not answering any questions. :)

But I see it as ML being a filter before it gets further up, just the impression I get.

Why are these backers sending Michael? Why not just do it themselves? Why put this poor bloke in the firing line?

Can everyone just stop right now? Talk about mountains out of mole hills!
Michael has poked his and kcic's nose where it don't belong.

I'm tempted to call this non executive director, who has little 'power' over any decisions about the football club or the top brass at SISU and make an offer to cover the rent if you don't get at least 5000 people per home game. Well my money will be safe and I can look like a hero.

But wait a minute I'd better run that by ACL, the council and Higgs first and see what they think? Maybe they will say run along there's a good chap and leave to the professionals.

And SISU top brass might say: What? What makes you think we could not do that kind of deal every day of the week? It's not about the paltry amount of rent, now supposedly offered through 3rd parties and not us directly but about owning a piece or all of the arena so we can take the football club forward in the community it serves. Hell if we can't take the majority stake in the stadium and it's potential earnings (particularly from the goodwill of 10,20 or 30+ k fans we generate) then what have we got? A rented pitch at extortionate rates and no way forward to sustain the club. We may as well build our own new stadium with outside investment help and go from there...oh wait a minute we already said that.

Wouldn't we all, but like the Hoffman offer previously (whatever you thought of it) it's not a controlling stake in the club, nor a lasting commitment.

I'd be happy right now with a bit of clarity from our current owners on our future direction. And if someone else wants to seriously attempt to own us, then I will want the same.

As I said, if the bid for the club was at all serious it should have gone through the Trust and have been offering fan ownership.

Problem with playing games however, is it gives SISU all the (valid) reasons in the world to reject offers and not negotiate, and distracts from the (valid) reasons why they should actually start chatting...

Anyway, as he won't talk on the phone, but will do so in person, I assume Michael intends to take four burly minders to any meeting along with Judge Judy.

I would say he is going to filter things out isn't he? Try and judge it and pass the message back to higher up.

Or he has been assigned because they think it is a PR mission so they are going to try and PR the shit out of a PR attack.

Michael won't know until he answers the phone, what is the big issue about it? How will he be the middle man between SISU and ACL if he won't pickup the phone?

If I had an amazing offer up my sleeve though I would have all the aces when it comes to the media though... However, if I was refusing to answer simple questions or my phone it kind of makes SISU's job too easy.
