Come off it Nick you seemed a reasonable bloke when we met! would you seriously say you would want to do any talks with Labbo?

If this offer were a genuine one and not designed just to try and embarrass them then yes, I'd be taking the bluff to the wire.

As opposed to falling at the first hurdle with a weak as piss excuse.

Then why send Labbo his judgements are rubbish his PR is Shite....

I would say he is going to filter things out isn't he? Try and judge it and pass the message back to higher up.

Or he has been assigned because they think it is a PR mission so they are going to try and PR the shit out of a PR attack.

Michael won't know until he answers the phone, what is the big issue about it? How will he be the middle man between SISU and ACL if he won't pickup the phone?

Problem with playing games however, is it gives SISU all the (valid) reasons in the world to reject offers and not negotiate, and distracts from the (valid) reasons why they should actually start chatting...

I'm not 100% sure "we won't deal with ACL" is a sensible reason, but it's the only one that's been given for no short term deal so far.

If this turns out to have been another game (to what fricken end? If anything it's done the opposite surely?) then of course they deserve our scorn. But if it does get things moving (and for a brief, beautiful second it seemed it might) then it's got to be worth something, and I honestly believe that's the spirit Michael has taken this up in. As Nick said, if he's been played I hope he turns both barrels on them because up until now he's been one group that has been fairly straight forward with his intentions.

But to be fair northern I think you are a match for Labbo he wouldn't want to cross swords with you....:)

It has... and ain't that the problem with not thinking things through.

I said elsewhere that I can accept naivety from Michael but... the holes are big enough to drive a bus through. And if *I* can do that, it's not likely to be hard for others to do the same... is it.

The Coventry businessman could be Labovitch I suppose, he has Coventry roots and so far this is doing more for SISU than anything they've managed...

Not to me he isn't only to the few.

Sorry he is part of the problem will never be trusted by the majority.

Yes but he seems to be winning this PR stuff way hands down without actually doing anything?

Yes but to be fair some people are set in their ways. As it stands, Michael is stood there kicking the ball into his own net.

In your opinion, how is Michael "winning" this?

If we go serious for a moment... Michael is an intelligent bloke, more brain cells than many of us, and I'm sure he could do a better job with Labovitch than many of us ;)

And if, for whatever reason, he doesn't feel inclined to do so, then I'm sure Grendel's not the only one who'd help him out. If he doesn't feel inclined to then his 'backers' should stop hiding behind him and letting him take the flack. I'm sure anyway, that they're better placed to answer any prelim questions Labovitch might have than a middle man for the middle man.

Exactly. Hadn't the deadline to respond to the rent offer already passed, and then on the day Labovitch cancels the forum he set up, he decides to tell the Telegraph that he will call Michael to talk about the offer. Which decision then gets talked about the most?

Look we all seem to think we know who the backers are?

Assume we are right, would they then use the likes of Grendel to do their negotiating after all the derogatory remarks and the obvious dislike he has for them?

Problem is... you can turn that around and ask why on earth someone with sincere motives to help SISU back to the Ricoh would pick Michael to do the negotiating with them to smooth troubled waters, given his determination to get 100% agreement that SISU are not good for the club, and his linking for inflatable dolls and a hunt for Joy!

Now he's entitled to do that, but put yourself in their shoes and he wouldn't be the first you'd trust was coming up with a genuine offer, would he? I'd reckon you'd be higher on their list for one, if for no other reason than it's not you in the papers giving that kind of message. So put yourself in their shoes, you'd want a brief chat first to check this isn't a laugh, wouldn't you?

If Grendel's not the choice to help, there are others... the backers themselves would be a start.

And nobody else can help after all, as no information has been released about anything else. So a middle man for the middle man for the middle man goes a bit far...

So what are we doing but wasting time on something when we *should* be looking forward to a chance to remember we're all on the same side in this after all, on July 12th.

So far it's an open goal for SISU to point to whenever anything else comes up in the future!

So why would SISU want to speak to Michael when it takes him 5 minutes to come on here and run to the press to slag them off? Wouldn't you be cautious if that was you?

I am not saying people aren't entitled to dislike SISU, but surely they would be a bit wary of it?

To be fair it is like a city season ticket.

I believe they are free not for sale:whistle:
I can tell you that my season ticket was not free it cost me over 100 pound thank you a lot more than free,I'm not looking for a medal, just stating that the fans going to home games at sixfields aren't just going because it's free because it's not free, but because we love the team and want to watch the boys play !!! #PUSB !!!

Why be wary they know where he stands, he doesn't hide the way he feels like about 95% of City fans.

FFS they and you can make as many excuses as possible. They meet him in person then they should make their call after listening to him,

Sorry I forgot they don't do listening..

I'd be wary if somebody was running to the press about me, standing outside my office, making statements about me etc. Yes of course he is entitled to his view and fair play for being passionate about it, but I would be wary. Michael was even coming onto here spinning things wasn't he saying that ML has said it is phone only and no meetings etc.

It still doesn't answer why he won't answer the phone though. I think people close to him should maybe have a word in case he is being taken advantage of.

Missed nothing!! We have no home games full stop.IF we did I would be there till then you can keep the fucking cow shed.

That also tells you how I want to support my team.

I know u want to support the team/club otherwise you wouldn't be here, and I have no doubts that if we were playing in coventry you would be supporting the boys, but you have to see that going to sixfields is my choice and it is my way of supporting the boys,I want to be back in coventry as much as you but I decide that I want to go to sixfields and you don't,and I respect your stance, but you have to realise that we both want the same thing, the club back in coventry,we just show it in different ways !!! #PUSB !!!

Jesus just seen the Facebook page. I am actually left speechless.

This is my favourite:

Not a fan of this at all. It is morally disgusting. #NOPM

Also Michael, you put "telephone call only", were those words actually said? 100%? Are you telling porkies?

Did you mention that ML asked to speak to you and you completely ignored him with a scripted "I'm sad that you don't want to talk to me, I am giving up?"

Got to the point now where you are as bad as they are, spinning shit up.

I have nothing but respect for your passion and drive and things like Arsenal but the way you have been with this is shocking. Just answer the phone and stop fucking about, you could make yourself a hero but instead you are just playing a panto to the crowd.

You only seem to acknowledge people who agree with you on everything and blank everyone even if it is constructive. It's slightly ignorant and a bit arrogant really.

What you are paying isn't supporting our squad. It is a joke what you can get a ST for. Even non league clubs charge much more. It just shows how much SISU do care about what the attendances are. Nobody is saying that you don't have the right to go to Northampton. But you need to see it both ways.

There are enough threads where you can come out with these sorts of comments. Start yet another one if you like. But it won't make the vast majority change their minds. We want our club to come home and it is the only voice we have. Most of us wouldn't go even if the tickets are free. A fiver a ticket now? They might as well be free.
