Bloody hell NW, I only went to the loo and you've replied. Is it fair to say this ones got to you? 

It annoys me immensely. Act in haste, repent at leisure and all that.

It annoys me immensely every time there are little distractions that just make us (us!) look shambolic. We started off last year with an event with numbers, something that showed people cared... we've got to do the same this summer as well really, haven't we.

Instead we end up with peacemeal protests (be they council elections, inflatable dolls in London) that say nobody cares as the results are slim. Just think how good something like July 12th could be, if the energies put into the deflections were channeled into that.

And then we have cracking comments on the KCiC facebook page (NOT from Michael, and not suggesting it's his view) that, well, drive me to despair about the hope of unity in July! Grendel may push buttons over-readily here, but he might have a point that sometimes the best friends aren't the ones that tell you what you want to hear.

And yes, LAST is right, not like any of the rest of us have stepped up instead is it. Well... apart from RobS, who then gets shot down far more on here ;)

Also, all this secrecy doesn't exactly lend itself, to my eyes, to the desire for fan-led ownership. If the fan-led ownership model envisaged is repeating a mantra time and again, and hiding simple things, then it's not really a model to aim for eh.

And I feel bad snapping because yes, Michael does indeed try and yes, he did seem to get it together briefly with Arsenal and the petition (execution and result of the latter maybe imperfect, but I salute the principle), but I have no clue why there is an obviously divisive tactic launched in the build-up to unity... and an obviously divisive tactic launched before a JR result that will allow for plenty of bickering... and before something where we should all be coming together.

And I'd never get the answer to any of these!

He had nothing to lose by actually meeting him as well to be fair

Traditionally, someone says OK we'll meet, when would be a good time to call you... and you take the sodding call!

It's not even an issue! Why's it been made an issue?!? Bizarrely, it hasn't even been made an issue by ML! There's only one person made it an issue where it shouldn't be!

Certain other people have asked me to ring them rather than them mail me what they mean and, well... it's my fault I haven't done so ;) But it's my fault we haven't spoken... not their fault for not mailing me instead(!)

The point at which Michael refused to talk to ML made it smell of bullshit to me.

Really? So JS and TF meet twats like me numerous times at the drop of a hat BUT they get a chance to talk about an offer to get back to the Ricoh and the "real boss" wants a phone call first:facepalm:Joy you met me for two hours MEET Michael and his group and prove you're not taking the piss and send ML on gardening leave.

Yep, exactly what he said! I've had a few and would never have managed all that but yeh, dead on, bloody frustrating!

Wouldn't want to be in the trenches though with the people who gave away all my guns and ammo to the sodding enemy in the first place leaving me defenceless, and No-Mans Land stretching 35 miles to the front-line.

I wouldn't like to be in the trenches when your leaders only give you a peashooter but tell you that you will get a catapult in three weeks. But when the three weeks are up they sell your peashooter.

Don't worry about it though. They will build you a new trench. The only problem is it will be built in the wrong place if they get round to it.

So some think that questions shouldn't be asked from SISU as they won't tell us the truth, but this supposed offer should be questioned whilst admitting that negotiations should be kept secret.

We all know that SISU won't want to make a deal to return us home. It would go against what they have been attempting for ages and what they have lost millions doing. But they can't just say to us that they won't listen about returning to Coventry. They want to keep up the pretense of wanting to return. The only way I can see them wanting to return is if the JR has gone totally against them.

So onto other comments. Grendel thinks that this offer should be kept to and the rent paid for on behalf of SISU whatever the attendances. Why should the rent be paid for them? Some on here agree that we need to move forward, but all they ever mention to do with the rent was the original amount payable. Wanting this rental offer fully out in the open ready to have excuses ready for SISU on their behalf?

We know that whatever happens it will be the fault of everyone else but SISU if it don't happen. Yet most of us are certain that the rent wouldn't be payable on behalf of SISU as we should easily get more than 5,000 at games at the Ricoh.

Yes I will have comments to make about this offer and why it fails when it does. But as usual it will all be about trying to work out the truth on what we hear. And it seems that SISU don't want anything put in writing. Not a good start.

Don't you love farce
My fault I fear
I thought that you'd want what I want
Sorry my dear
But where are the clowns
Quick send in the clowns
Don't bother they're here

ML's call with details of venue, date and time of meeting is eagerly awaited.

Apologies, just got in. So, Nick, sorry to put you in the role of Rosemary the Telephone Operator.... but does ML now have this hot line number to the batcave, and a name to ask for?

So....what's the hold up with moving this forward then?

ML hasn't received this number and contact name that Michael has apparently supplied him with?

ML has received the contact details, but hasn't phoned them?

ML has phoned but nobody's answering?

Just thought I'd bump these as, with all the accusations flying around in a thread full of loads of posts (probably why my questions were missed), I think its important to clarify if ML is in receipt of this information. Seems KCIC have made a concession by giving ML what he wants - an unrecorded phone call.

It would be nice to see if one side or the other is stalling or bullshitting. Perhaps someone can contact ML and enlighten us.

I wouldn't hold your breath Reg....

1 week has passed since the "offer" was made public......

....They say 1 week is a long time in politics....I never knew that saying was referring to the length of time it takes 2 stubborn idiotic parties to make/receive a phone call......

Bollocks on both sides, I reckon. Not necessarily from MIchael but from whoever is behind the offer.

ML contacts Michael saying I'll give you a ring to discuss. MO replies saying "well, if you don't want to do a deal then it's all off!" WTF is that all about? MO has been saying for month that "It only takes one call" then when there's a chance to get that call "he" refuses to co-operate.

Senseless.

Michael only made that comment yesterday. Things do take time, and I know we're an impatient bunch but things can't happen yesterday can they?!

I agree its a bit daft all around Torch. Don't follow your chain of events though, reading the KCIC media, appears that the ball is back in ML's court now he has apparently been supplied with a name of a KCIC contact plus a number to phone him on.

Thats' why it would be nice if those able to speak to ML could get him to confirm or deny that. We can then see where the hold up is. Or, as you say, bollocks.

Not every detail has to be public. I would prefer to just hear in a week/2 that it is all sorted with a picture of MO and ML hugging in front of a double rainbow!

Thanks Jimmy, its a bit pathetic I know, though I can understand why KCIC would want everything in writing. They have after a week made a concession however, presumably to try and get the ball rolling, and have given ML (or have alledgely given ML) a name and number to phone.

Regardless of how good or bad the offer is from Michael's backers, or how well or poorly it's been handled, I think the blunt truth of it is that SISU are not currently prepared to discuss coming to back to the Ricoh on a rental deal. (I don't think that's acceptable, or it's for the good of the club, btw.)

If there was any genuine interest in talking about a return to the Ricoh, then regardless of the 'phone call' issues, they'd be talking by now.

The big game remains the JR and pushing for a deal on complete ownership on SISU's terms. Until that is shown to be impossible, then we're at Northampton until SISU run out of money, or the FL grow some balls. On that basis, I've already accepted that I'll be watching the rugby again next season.

Michaels backers are a hedge fund based in the Cayman Islands.
Owned by Sisu, they played him well.

I hope not but anything is possible with this club. Would really like to see something positive come out of this but dont think it will.

Fair play to you mate - I know the rugby ain't for everyone. Obviously it'd be better watching footy at the Ricoh, but I can't see it happening in all honesty. Hope I'm wrong, it wouldn't be the first time. :)

Mate, you'll have a working lawnmower before this threads done.
Covmark,I think you right on that.

I do a lot of charity work and I am heavily involved in a new charity based in the Midlands called BS international and helps people who can't stop bullshitting.
It's a great charity and I got involved when I was invited to sit in on one of their sessions. They had this middle aged businessman called ,Tim I think, from the midlands, who for one reason or another kept thinking he was going to build a football stadium in a city which already had one that was'nt being used.

It was heartbreaking to see him talk about this, and how one day he would make money from it,it brought a tear to my eye and since that session I have'nt been able to sleep. Because of the trauma of seeing Tim talk non stop bullshit for at least two hours, I am now on very strong medication myself. I got involved immediately as I wanted to help these people, and that is why I do so much sponsored events so to help them in their noble cause.

My next sponsored event is to skateboard solo across Antartica wearing only a mankini, I should be ready to go next month fingers crossed.

The charity's aim is to rid bullshit from Britain initially by 2020 but across Europe by 2024,and have bullshit alarms installed in every house initially across the Midlands by 2018, that they can use to call us out straightaway

I am on 24 hour call out and have a chocolate coloured ambulance type vehicle with a brown flashing light on it , which I use when a bullshit case comes in.I ask all SBT posters to remember that when driving to pull over immediately if my brown flashing ambulance comes up very quickly behind them and let me pass,we need to get to these people ASAP before they bullshit even more.

Anyway got to go just been called out to a gentleman called Roy, I think, though it sounded like Woy on the phone, who recently returned from a holiday in South America who thinks Glen Johnson is an internationally standard footballer, now this one going to be a toughie so must get going

Whats wrong with Egg Chasing going to The Butts myself next season with 2 other regulars from the hill.

Oh Shitfields will have no atmosphere whatsoever now we will be gone.(No Horns,Drums or whistles)

They have finally got what they wanted piece and quite it will be like going to church, listening to Fishers Sermons at half time with adoration in their eyes.

Fuck me could become another sectarian cult.

You may be onto something there Duffer.

Hopefully a local team will start getting better crowds out of all this mess.
If they do well could turn the City into a Rugby supporting town all thanks to our illustrious owners

Im also going to be going to butts next season if we are not back at the Ricoh. Apathy etc etc.
