So, day one back at ryton on Friday will be:

GK:

Burge

Defenders:

Phillips
Clarke
Willis
Webster
Seabourne
Haynes
Finch

Midfielders:

Baker
C. Thomas
Fleck
Daniels
Barton
Lawton

Strikers:

Wilson
G. Thomas

I suspect Barton will be off at some point, if so, that leaves us with a nucleus of 15 players to build from. I think Jordan Clarke will revert to right back this season with Phillips as second choice. I hope we will see Willis more in his more natural central role, with Finch providing defensive cover to him Seabourne and Webster.

Let's hope no early injuries, otherwise it'll be a five a side warm up for pre-season

Doncaster, Crewe, Colchester, Swindon and us lot are the only teams left who haven't signed anyone.

Worrying times. :(

Oh why dont you all go and slash your wrists. I remember the same woe is me drivel last year as well and we had recovered 10 points behind by October. Back the team or fuck off .

Or else?...

This season your beloved SISU have trimmed the squad even further, and you see no woe in this at all?

Are you high?

Easy one for me, I'll fuck off like many others, I'm quite happy with that. What about you, still no shame in walking in Sixfields?

Thought Finch was a midfielder? What about Urquhart and Maddison?

Pressley officially promoted the following to the first team squad for this season:

Finch (who used to be centre mid, but is now considered a centre half),
Haynes
Lawton.

I was being generous adding George Thomas, as Pressley didn't mention him in that regard. Maddison and Urquart I assume also are considered development squad players.

And we were nearly relegated come May.

Arguably our most influential players last year were Murphy, Moussa, Clarke and Wilson.

Not sure how influential those lot will be in keeping us up this coming season...

The "development squad" is the U21s/reserves. There's no-one over 17 who is off the table for the first team to be fair, that's Pressley's way. Those three you mention were just the three academy graduates to earn pro contracts, nothing else. Maddison and Thomas are AFAIK still second year academy players, so yeah probably won't be seen, but we've seen Haynes well before he was pro.

You industrial strength dry lunch. It's looking shit. End of story.

And thinking about it, last season ended up being total fucking bollocks too.

The focus is on the pitch

We are looking forward

The training ground is buzzing (or will be when we start training)

It's time for reconciliation

Any takers ???

Bloody hell you have got it bad. It's a shit league and we have got as good a chance as anyone. I'm looking forward to it.

I think the only thing making you lot happy is waving your little SISU Out flags about.

How the fuck would I know, I'm not Tim Fisher(dont)

I suspect it will be down which is pretty depressing for the team and the experience. Maybe a few extra due to more Saturday games if we are doing ok.
I would have thought there would be more "protest" type attendances but the current tactic(if you can call it that) is to ignore Sixfields and pretend it will all go away. Which is odd in my opinion.

we stayed up by the skin of our teeth after a second half of the season where we were comfortably the worst team and lowest scoring team in the league and this season our first team and our squad are significantly worse.

Well apart from the 4 teams that went down and the 10 points that we lost and the season being not just the second half.Apart from that you are right.

I really hope that Steven Pressley has targeted 5/6 quality players within the 9 he is looking to sign, the squad could do with it.

I would take the likes of Delfounseo, Ecclestone, Prutton and the like at the moment just so the squad has depth..

It looks bloody bleak at the moment.

Aren't we the only club in the league to not sign at least one player. This is horrendous news.

Relegation is certain.

It looks bleak at the moment but still over a month until the season starts, 2 or 3 good signings and the picture looks different.

To you and Andreas B. 2-3 signings is never enough and even 5 players isn't as they will all be cheap crap players.

Before a ball is kicked..... Well yes look at the team. Is there one? We are the only club in the league not to sign a player ffs. Surely you can see the problem?

You don't need the weatherman to tell you to expect rain in England next year do you?
