I don't think it's about revenues Robo. It's about the Ricoh on the cheap and that's why we will never return To the Ricoh. Ever. Sisu have one goal only. The judge said "there is no plan b" he is right.

Don't let the fl know that the judge said there is no plan B. Wasn't plan B the new stadium ?

The judge is right john. There never was a plan b because as the judge said " there was only 1 way for sisu to return their investment" it has failed and watch the exodus. Blair and Ian already gone in 2 days after the result. It won't take long to get rid of baker and Wilson next. Please read above.

But that isn't justifiable.. That's just accepting something.. Why shouldn't the Club insist on the revenues it generates, of course it should pay for these but it's essential for the Club as any revenue I am sure would be greatly appreciated?

Maybe they should stop insisting that they get things, and maybe ask for things, use words like please, maybe offer some money.

Have they ever said they are willing to pay for access to the revenue?

No pleasing some people. Of course it is all genuine. I attempted something and getting a bit of success. I think Mark knows I am asking sensible questions not ones he hears everyday. We have been in contact for a few weeks. I will update you when I hear back from Ann. My guess is I will not be cc'd into anymore emails. Or they just ignore them now

Robo you do talk a lot of sense and god knows like me we have ccfc at heart. However our owners do not. The new stadium first of all will never happen 100% as there are many numerous reasons for this not to happen. To list a few. Who would fund the 20mil required when we can't even afford to keep BLair Adams? Who would go when by the time 90% would of gone? There is a good stadium is Coventry already which JS called absurb to build another? Many other reasons so a new stadium will never happen and no surprise we have no details on it. That's not surprising.

The rent of 1.3 was far too high yes we all agree even ACL agree but it was a legal contract and only 5-10% of the clubs turnover. Sisu knew the deal when they signed up in 2007. Yes FFP wasn't in then but it was known years in advance and something should of been done sooner. You correctly say the rent was offered at 150k for 10 years on the Eve of liquidation last year that's a 90% rent reduction. Wow what a gift. That's cheaper than Northampton which leads me to my next point and if it is all about f and b then Northampton isn't the answer. Earning a lot less from major revenues like ticket sales to smaller revenues like f and b. TF couldn't answer it yesterday in the radio when asked about Northampon to the Ricoh and food and beverage. He was speechless. Sure you heard it. He was speechless as it makes no sense.

The judge said and it is well known for a long time now and I quote "sisu have badly mismanaged Coventry city for a long time and lost in the region of 50mil and the only probable way to get this back was acquiring the Ricoh arena cheaply and selling on for a profit. The rent strike put ACL hard up and ccfc were intent on always moving out"

It's black and white Robo, it's never been about f and b or rent. It's about one thing.... A return on their investment. That was the only plausible way to get it back and now it's failed all ends up. Sisu now only have 2 options. Sell all assets and liquadate or build a new stadium. Option 2 is not really an option. So it's option 1 and you will see Blair Adams leave and Ian foster and Baker and Wilson will be next. Certain.

This is it in a nutshell (a very elequent and succinctly put nutshell).

Exactly 100%.

that is my argument.

Why would you move to a town 33 miles away cut your prices by more then 50%?

Why Would you not mind loosing 90% of your customers?

Why would you not mind selling 99% less merchandise? ( I have never seen one worn in Coventry Yet)

And all this just to make some money on tea and coffee. (how much do they think we drink)

When the Ricoh first opened and for the first 4 years every bar was open you had to queue for the whole second half to get served, the last season you could get served in 5 minutes and half the outlets were closed.

simple maths.....Just doesn't make sense.

If I am wrong could someone please explain this to me and not just the same old reply we need it to be competitive.

The only thing that worries me is ML's position. Will Ann meet with the middle man after everything that has gone on?

CCFC would like additional revenues to what had been on offer from ACL, are ACL willing to discuss a sale of these revenues and at what cost? Are Sisu willing to pay for these revenues? These are all the questions that need answering regarding a return to the Ricoh..

FTFY.

We're currently playing in front of 1500 fans paying bargain prices. The only thing we "require" is a return to Coventry. Revenues and long term issues can be sorted after that.

For some context, F&B revenue during our last season at the Ricoh was worth about £100k in profit. We made £3.5m in ticket sales. Last season at Sixfields we would've made less than £500k.

and why should she? if Joy can spent 6 hours talking anti council tactics with Rob S she can damn well talk to Ann Lucas.

While its good that there has been a conversation I dont expect anything to come from it with regards to the stadium situation mainoy because Ann Lucas and Mark Labovitch are not the main shareholders.

However bridges do need to be built and cordial pleasant relations between all parties would be a massive step forward. I just hope they proceed with meeting and are not effectively paying lip service, merely avoiding being seen as the bad guy in front of the fans.

Let it go, there is no need for such comments when there is a chance of some sort of reconciliation. We know whats gone on in the past, Everybody needs to move on.

I don't want to hear about any deals until one is done. Behind closed doors and not media leaks. Then it can be done and sorted once and for all.

I agree with what you are saying regarding the revenues, namely the catering income. But I believe that ACL have not said they can't have it but will need to negotiate this deal with Compass (Private Contractors) to come up with a market value to purchase the contract and licence but it seems they have an issue with that too.

Its all down to the price is never right with SISU...

Just to update you I have now had an email back from Ann Lucas and she says she is willing to speak to anyone so I have sent Mark Labovitch a reply saying here Mark Ann wants to talk and CC'd Ann in. Worth a go haha!

Keep it up Wal! You've broken through the barrier or getting Laughobitch to commit to more than an unrecorded phonecall. Now that is progress!

I think we just jumped the shark in respect to changing names...

In the interest of encouraging everyone to move on to do a deal, please can we also move on from this?

Personally I see no benefit in Lucas talking with Labovitch....... it needs to the real decision maker. Perhaps ML can convey that message to Joy however.

@Jack Griffin
SISU, 6 years, 3 chief executives, 1 relegation, 8 managers, 5000 protesters, £45M debt, £7M losses in 2013, Moved club to Northampton, decimates fanbase.

May aswell tell the whole story ;)

gone on in the past? this was a few days ago, ML can't make a decision, so why on earth would AL meet him instead of meeting Joy?, you can't make the argument that joy is too busy when she has just spent 6 hours with the anti council group.

Honestly though there is zero chance of reconciliation anyway, have you listened to fisher since the JR? While he said he is open to a short term deal he also says that they have always been open to that and nothing has changed. If a deal was going to be done it would have been done a year ago, it's not going to be done now. There are no bridges to be built, no way that the council and sisu will ever trust one another and honestly rightly so. SISU are still being every bit as evil today as they have been in the run up to this.

After AL's last meeting end of last year with Joy where the freehold was demanded. Can anyone really see Joy " Bonkers " Seppela backing down ?
