Bournemouth, which I know very well as I ran a business there in the late 80's and early 90's and through that met Harry Redknap I can tell you is not a football town per sae and never will be. he used to joke that the owners were happy to gain a promotion and drop down again and then promote again as a good thing for the club knowing the dizzy heights of the then 2nd division were unsustainable.

Things have changed since those days but not dramatically for Bournemouth. As I say it may actually boast a large population base of some 200k or so but it's not a football thinking town. It's a seaside town and the core fans are not there. It will always be that way unlike a Reading. The ground is in the park and planning consent has always been difficult to say the least. No one wants a 'bigger' football club in Bournemouth. If they seriously thought they could become 'bigger' and needed a better ground they would have to find another place for it and that would be nigh impossible.

So back to the point Wilson is good business but not sure it's good business for the lad himself. Time will tell but I hope he does well and gets noticed again and gets a move to a club with genuine potential of greater things. Strange old harry has not taken a punt on the lad himself for QPR...

I think stadium size and crowd size is irrelevant. It's more about the level that the club play at. AS Monaco play in a stadium with a capacity of only about 18,000 but have a squad which includes Falcao and Rodriguez, whao has been the best player at the world cup, and are playing in the Champions League next year.

Despite the fact that their latest exercise in litigation was never ever likely to succeed, I don't suppose for one minute the intention was to lose. That's irrelevant to my point though. These legal challenges are huge risks and to embark on such actions you must have extensive funds in place in the event that things don't go your way.

If the club owners have extensive funds to pay for expensive legal fees they have the money to invest in the team. I'll refrain from using the slapped head animation if you don't mind.

In the clubs 130 year history if has only spent 25% in the top flight.

As far as joining Bournemouth, its a league up, with a team of lesser known players , seams to be well run with money.

However i have lived in Bournemouth for 30 years and had a Cherries ST for about 6 years, I have seen the progress that AFC Bournemouth have made and are still making on and off the pitch - the current team at Dean Court is young and bloody good, and play far better and attractive football than most teams. Under the guidance of Eddie Howe Wilson will flourish i am sure, he is joining a team full of talent and I'm sure that AGAIN we will be regarded as the surprise package in the Championship by many teams.

I am proud of my Coventry roots but believe me life is far better on the south coast where lack of jobs and crime is not a problem and beautiful coastline and stunning New Forest are on my doorstep. If you guys really believe that Dorset is full of blue rinse OAP's then i suggest you get out of your Bell Green council shit holes and get into your untaxed piece of shit car and visit.

Anyway for your info the two players you have got on loan are both decent - Allsopp is a good keeper who needs to improve his distribution and coming out to collect crossed balls but will serve CCFC well i believe. Coulibally - he is quick and tricky and when he has been fit (not often) has looked like being a fantastic winger. When AFCB played Real Madrid last season he was fantastic. I also hope that we could lend you Brett Pitman as he was a fantastic player for us in League 1 and largely responsible for the success of the last few seasons but will hardly get a look in at Dean Court this season i fear.

Anyway hope that you guys can put a team together soon as the current bunch look like its going to be a hard season and REALLY hope that you can get back to the ricoh and get rid of the SISU mob.

It makes me laugh, that many fans have accepted that selling yet another young player is good business - I could probably understand a little if they had sold him to Liverpool, Man-Utd, or spurs, but no the mighty Bournemouth with massive crowds of 7,000 - 8,000 in the championship and these crowds are when they are doing well - actually shows how far we have dropped when teams like Bournemouth, a club in administration in 2008 are attracting our players, but good luck to them as they are obviously have been steered very well -

True facts are this i am 42 years old and although i would never class myself as a proper Sky Blue i used to love standing on the West Terrace as a kid next to my Coventry family, but if i am honest there was only really a few highlights and most of those were when we survived relegation on the last day of a season.

Coventry is no doubt a bigger club than AFC Bournemouth, however they are a club on the up with owners who are willing to finance success and spend alot of money on youth development aswell. Coventry City is a club that is dying slowly and it is very sorry to watch. Even if the club does return to the ricoh i suspect they will be playing infront of 10-12,000 people (after the initial novalty wears off) as alot of the "fans" now as so dissillusioned that they have filled their saturdays with other stuff.

Yes Bournemouth only get crowds of 10-12,000 as for alot of the games they sell out and even if not a sell out the ground has a great atmosphere unlike a sparsely filled ricoh with a few die hard under the scoreboard making the only noise that can be heard above the hum of the A444 in the distance.

Bournemouth are a bigger club than CCFC. Most of us know that. We still have one of the best away support though. The main thing we have is our memories. We will be back. We just don't know how long it will take. But it will taste sweet after what we have been through.

I don't think that is particularly accurate Astute, I think City is a bigger Club than Bournemouth, however right now we have fallen quite a way due to poor management and over spending where as Bournemouth have progressed after their own financial issues, with a solid financial base and Club philosophy.

That is why owning the Ricoh Arena is so important for our Club, Steven Pressley is doing everything he can to ensure the Club has a good philosophy and is run in the right manner where the playing side is related, but without that sound financial base we can never be what we were once were.

Fair play to Bournemouth, but when they day comes that CCFC is reunited with the Ricoh Arena under a sound financial footing this Club can rise again.

Traditionally we have had better home gates, a more successful history, the brand of Coventry City is bigger than AFC Bournemouth. Yes it's very easy to look at current Club positions and try to establish who the bigger Club is, but it doesn't change over night.

Bournemouth are well run Club hence there current position and it shows what can happen if you do things in the right manner, unlike the likes of us and Portsmouth for instance.
