Leon Clarke going back to Scunthorpe (2 Viewers)

...made to look better than he was?

He's a goalscorer and that's exactly what he did for us. Very successfully in fact.

I think he's a very good player at this level but I think he's also a player who needs loving.

He was never going to get enough love in front of 1500 at sixfields but in front of 15,000 at the Ricoh?

We'll never know.

Any half decent striker in league one would of scored the goals Clarke did with the amount of chances we created last season per game... for christ sake, we had 12-15 attempts most games...

He was only good when in the mood and given the ball in the box, apart from that never saw him.

Stop wanking over someone who scored 1 every 4 attempts he had in a decent footballing side, without the created opportunities he would of scored naff all. He is old news now, and getting chucked out by Wolves "the club he loves" clearly shows he has issues.

I feel really sorry for you now.

You go get that beautiful girl Rattles! You are good enough for her!
Don't feel sorry for me shmmeee I've done alright. Funnily enough though a beautiful woman gave me the eye recently,it was a glass one but it was nice !
Back to the wanderer Clarke and not because he's at Wolves. He was banging the goals in with us and had a great partnership with Wilson, but decided to chase the bucks at his home grown club.Fair enough but he's now on the move again back down to League One.There's something wrong somewhere isn't there ?

Did Sisu offer him a new contract then ?
I don't remember much in the way of attempts to keep him ?
Do we really know the whole story or does it suit to slag him off because he went to Wolves ?
So what if he said he wanted to go, I don't blame him one bit.

To blame sisu for Leon Clarkes departure is absurd even from you, the most absurd poster here.

There is an argument that he came to a club pushing for promotion in a 32000 seater stadium and left a club struggling for survival in front of 1500 fans.

That's kinda Sisu's fault.

He has now left a club in the championship for Scunthorpe hasn't he?

Are you forgetting the 8 he scored in the previous season? The 11 or 12 he got at Scunthorpe prior to that. To dismiss his prowess at this level is idiotic.

Why not just swallow our pride and enquire? He'll score goals given games; it's that simple. If he is going Scunny we'll be able to match whatever they're offering to Wolves in terms of covering a percentage of his wages so go for it. Geezer is a c**t, but he's a good player at the same time.

Wolves buying him definitely screwed our promotion bid....but his unsettling attitude was just as much to blame!! In two minds would rather he was with us than another league 1 side but way he departed has left a bitter taste...not sure i would welcome him back!!

No not correct or he wouldn't have toddled off to Scunthorpe when at Charlton and will not be doing the same thing again now.

Never let facts get in the way of a good rant though.

Say what you want about Leon Clarke but I would have him back in a heartbeat.

For us in a year he scored bags of goals. Set up lots of others. Undoubted quality and experience.

Yes he is an arse and wants money. Show me someone who isn't and I will show you a liar.

you're clearly still bitter that he left.

Get over it, he's gone.

I say thanks for the goals. Decent striker at this level.
