I picked up on that line. He either doesn't know that there are only two parties involved or his release is with help from someone from SISU. It is our club that has numerous owners. None of them are supposed to own a stake of over 9% without stating the fact. But there again when did SISU care about the rules?

I'm glad you mentioned the surrounding area dong. As well as being a one club city there are 5 surrounding big(ish) towns without pro teams and a potential big boost to the fan base. Rugby, Nuneaton, Bedworth, Leamington & Warwick. Not to mention Kenilworth and a whole host of villages. The potential for the club if run correctly is huge. How big is lego land going to be again?

But those towns were always there, weren't they along with a captive audience; even before SISU turned up.
I know it's been disputed and argued many times but I would say a large proportion of the fan base comes from outside the City.

Said on CWR this morning that Swanson only signed as he thought we would be playing at the Ricoh. His agent got the impression that it would happen. How true that is, I don't know.
Why should we want it to be a gold mine anyway? I would rather we have sports fans as owners who would be happy with little or no financial return, but with achieving sporting success. Even if that means a company like Red Bull profiting from a successful image by being associated with us. Or, preferably, an older person with loads of money which he/ she cannot spend on living in the rest of his/ her life, but lacking social recognition, who sees CCFC as a means of boosting his/ her image. The last thing we need are more chancers hoping to make a quick buck. Out natural position in my lifetime was/ is struggling at the end of the season in whatever league we are in.

(*In all seriousness, it's probably the missionary position as we need help**!!! LOL!)
(**I'm referring to the football club and not me and my wife personally. Although we tend to play it safe with the missionary position. We both know what we're doing, there's no risk of embarrassment or injury, and we can have the job done in a couple of minutes each month.)

Without owning the Ricoh & land CCFC is a sitting duck & SCUMSU thought they had it all on a plate. Without a sugar daddy or a drastic change in the ethos where average players can earn thousands each week the goldmine gates will remain firmly shut.
However, having been very negative above, I would be striaght back to the Ricoh to watch us play at home, even if Joy's mob still ruled the roost.

There has not been a sustainable period if success or attractive football since 1998.
Give this area that at the Ricoh with the popularity of modern day football you will be stunned by the crowds.
Kevin, you know with a little success this big city would get pretty decent gates. If we were challenging at the top end of this 'Third Division' & playing at the Ricoh, the crowds would be in excess of 20,000. I'll leave you to work out the sums on that over a season or two. And heavens above, if we got back to the Championship (Second Division), the outlook is even better. With just a touch of nurturing this club could be very big. Like Delboy I hate to see people 'talking down' our club.

Still the year away from Cov must have done something for the club owners in terms of negotiations thanks to that shoddy deal signed by Robinson/Mcginnity & co!
It needed somebody like Sisu to drag Acl through the cleaners to try & get some order back at our club! Time will tell......

Our first home league game is Sheffield United which would probably be our highest gate of the season whether at Northampton or the Ricoh. I believe at the Ricoh the gate would be on par with the Crewe semi. Sheffield would bring a full complement of about 5000+ As for needing time to put arrangements in place what bollox. If we go to Liverpool or Man United in an FA cup tie and somehow snatch a draw and replay the authorities have ten days to make arrangements for what would be a full house.
