Sounds realistic.
What about match day costs?
If I remember correctly it was revealed during the JR that while ACL used to charge £10K per match sisu claimed the actual costs were much less.
So there's a potential issue to be sorted as well.
That doesn't make sense as they have maintained the club need the full revenue for FFP.
But maybe they propose to pay a percentage of the F/B costs?

I don't think so, ACL really are slightly backed into a corner, any reasonable offer really needs to be accepted, and this is a reasonable offer if it's correct, needs to be accepted really..
They aren't getting F&B money at the moment.. So they aren't missing out, they aren't getting any rent either so something is better than nothing..
There is also no way they are in talks with another sports team about renting the place either. It ain't happening!

Surely it's SISU who are backed into a corner? They can either accept the conditions offered by ACL (as and when they are offered) or they can stay in Northampton, with no customers and sponsors, and spunk another several million quid up the wall.

I believe they got a refund on rates. Not sure of that was in the match day costs.
If above figures are true sounds reasonable to me. Difficulty is I'm not sure whether ACL have the power to give away F&B revenues. Can anyone remember what percentage of these it is that ACL own?

A seperate company I believe control these - ACL own I believe over 75% of that company - so if the voting structure is weighted towards them I can't see why they can't offer that.

The rates refund came directly from the council who collect on behalf of central goverment, so i dont imagine that isn't included in match day costs.
From memory it includes things like maintenance and utility bills, surely things like this should be transparent from ACL to the club so no wool is getting pulled over eyes. I'm not sure if things like stewarding is included, if it is surely the club can take this responsability on for themselves so they are in control of the cost. The grounds keeping staff i would asume is now in the match day costs as IIRC ACL took these on when SISU let them go because of the Northampton move, again they could take the staff back on and control this cost.

Stewards were through ACL/Compass I believe.
It's doable but needs willing from both sides to bend a bit. Fingers crossed they can do that.

IIRC this was covered in the SBT Q&A. Didn't City agree to negotiate with Compass directly before?
The sticking point will be opening ACL's books to verify the revenue payments. That and the legal action.
From what I understand ACL's main issue is trust. Hence the request for dropping the legals. As that's not being considered I wouldn't expect this offer to go far.
Remember ACL have to guard against the very real possibility that all Sisu are trying to do is get access to ACL's books to help the appeal.

SISU wouldn't drop it in order to have talks. However you can bet your bottom dollar they will use it within the talks.

- Three-year contract with one-year rolling if required.
- Priority use of stadium on match days.
- Rent benchmarked to division the club is in.
- Club pays match day costs.
- Access to F&B revenues for days the club is renting the stadium
- So only paying for 23–30ish days per season.
- Would need some details looked at to cover any cup replays or other last minute schedule changes, e.g. TV
- For League 1 in the £175k–200k range. Would increase if we got promotion to Championship/Premier League (!). Rent is payment to use the stadium match day facilities.
- Club match day costs are for things like stewarding, police, medical & emergency etc.
- The eternal food & beverages issue. No idea what the club would want but I'd imagine Compass wouldn't be too unhappy sharing a percentage of the revenues of an extra 250,000ish punters a year.
[SUB][I've heard – although I have no proof so take it with a pinch of salt and if anyone has heard similar/different, please chip in – that as part of their deal, Compass pay ACL nearly £1.5m per annum and keep all revenue. This would mean that ACL don't have as much motivation to do this deal and might also have to negotiate on their deal with Compass to sort out a deal with CCFC. But as I say, no proof so could be a red herring.][/SUB]

Other things that are affected / can influence:
- Potential increase in revenues for other arena tenants, e.g. De Vere Hotel, Casino.
- Ditto for the rest of the city, e.g. buses, taxis, pubs, chippies, local sports & social clubs that rent out parking space, etc.
- Sponsors, e.g. Ricoh, Jag
- Etc.

All things aside, the only way forward from this is transparency. If as some suggest this is more bluster from Sisu then their is only one way to find out. ACL must grasp the olive branch and do their utmost to do a deal where reasonable. If SISU's demands are unrealistic then they must be shown to be to the wider public and like wise for ACL. Their has to be a clear understanding on both sides with out caveats, even new protagonists negotiating if it helps, both sides need each other for the general good of both businesses and the City as a whole. ACL should not place demands on the club to drop legal actions, they are going to win in the long run any way. Once the club is back at the Ricoh the owners will probably see the futility of further action anyway and we can all concentrate back on the football. 90% of the fans have backed ACL through this saga, its time for them to return the faith. I have no hopes for any "negotiations" as Sisu haven't changed their demands so I can't see ACL changing their position.
I just want us home while those negotiations happen. If Sisu dropped the requirement for matchday revenue that would happen as ACL wouldn't require as much trust. That trust could then be built up (or not) while were in Cov.
Sisu have sold everyone a beautiful dummy here, but nothing has changed. There's no need for a short tem deal if negotiations can be completed. So why have pre conditions on a short term deal?
I just want us home. I'm a bit pissed off to see the club playing with words and fans feelings here to be honest.

Would you let someone actively trying to bankrupt you have full access to your bank statements? Don't be silly, in court, whether right or wrong, you keep your cards close to your chest. After all "right" and "wrong" are often more about spin and prejudice than any absolute notion. With the right insinuation anything can be made to seem wrong (see almost all of Grendel and FPs posts about ACL
)Not saying its a good thing, I'm saying its understandable and that to me it's far more valid than Sisus pre conditions of match day revenue for a short term deal. Sisu are masters at making unreasonable requests sound reasonable and this is one of those times.
