Imagine, 15 minutes about their shared love of 70s funk and then throw to the news and traffic.

Pressley feels a solution has to be found. Obviously diplomatic in his comments ."danger is we will loose a generation of fans and we can't afford to do that", Also feels a return would regenerate the fans. Admits Ricoh is a selling point when negotiating with players...potentially.

He said about the ore season your and he is fully aware that all the goals have been taken out of the team and he will sign a minimum of 3 new players before start of season but he wants 4 new players ideally.

As for the Ricoh he said the club needs to come back else it will lose a generation of supporters and the club can't run like it currently is. He thinks supporters will benefit with a massive boost to the Ricoh as would the players and he is certain a deal is there to be done and compromise is needed from both sides he said. He is really pushing for a Ricoh return. Sisu need to come home. Yesterday's statement was true. SP doesn't spout bollocks and he doesn't tow the party line as such. He is adamant he wants to come home and sixfields is chalk and cheese to the Ricoh. Obvious comment I know.

Their is no more pr and bs. Sisu and ccfc need to come home. There is no lying about that. Come up with all these mad theories I hear on here but sisu want a deal. 100%. They have to.

Kingofkings if they 100 per cent want a deal to return why say we have a proposal and sit on it? Nothing to stop them submitting it regardless of what ACL may have said last week.

Spellchecker tried to change your name to Lingo flings which I think is actually a better name :)

Yeah I said before that ACL should stick an offer in the Telegraph in full, with no comment to try and push things forward. If ACL refuse to budge then ccfc do have a website to do similar.

Wouldn't suggest doing that yet but... if serious, and if ACL really *do* refuse to talk, then there's one way to smoke them out... and prove it isn't just silly games from SISU's side, too.

Lol I quite like that to.

Hobo if life was only that simple. I'm not an expert but they do things their way I'm afraid.

They do want to come back,, but unless the FL step in and stop all this bollocks the game will be played with all sides throwing out timed an unrealistic comments.. Sisu will not talk unless the court card is still to play and ACL will not deal until they get what they think is owed,, the FL could get credit now if they made a decision, paid out and forced the parties together.

I still don't think it will be sorted quickly or without conflict, but Sisu will not last another season at Sixfields and ACL if granted money could be sitting in the box seat with money paid to them knowing this....I hope for SP sake he get's his squad, gets his wish and brings back good days to the club,, my only concern is the future with the owners...

Agreed, it's just an opening move in their game of chess. I'm not getting exited about a Ricoh return :-(

I'm not sure ACL will react, they really don't need to,, it's pay up, stop the court case and talk... Its TF who has changed the stance it's really up to him and the FL to how far it goes... Sisu can't be at NTFC much longer they don't have the support or the backing to keep it up.

Exactly, why should they feel the need to respond to a proposal they haven't received?

TBH posting an offer in a public newspaper isn't very professional, so I would hope they don't.

Considering the bad history between the parties I would expect them to talk through lawyers (negotiators) each presenting their proposed outline for an agreement. That way they can negotiate indirectly until they get to a final contract and only meet to iron out minor details and sign on the dotted lines. That is how diplomacy usually works, and by God diplomacy is what is needed here!

The statement from JS and TF ... sorry ... from TF is pure spin and could be an attempt to speed up the diplomacy. Not really professional, but may be effective as it raises hope and awareness. Erasing JS from the statement leaves her with clean hands and still in a position to do the final deal as even posters on this board have concluded TF went rogue without her permission. I believe she was the architect behind the statement, but she can't be seen as such as it would poison any negotiation.

Something is definitely happening, and lets hope they agree in the end.

I doubt acl will respond. They laid down their terms and sisu need to react to that.

We know money is in escrow account so that really is a fL decision.

All sisu have to say is we are dropping the appeal and then I'm sure acl will talk.

I have a funny feeling that sisu won't be dropping any appeal and that will hinder any return to the Ricoh.

That's annoying then. As SISU believe the figure is wrong so they will have to wait till the 7th to pay the agreed amount.

Then as you can imagine they will not want to drop the JR before negotiations they will want to use it in the negotiations.

Have the talks now first point of agenda SISU abide to pay whatever figure FL say on 7th.

Come to an agreement that will only be signed when money is paid and legal action dropped.

Is it really that hard?????

If they can come to an agreement at least we will know over the next few days as oppose to after the season kicks off. On the country if they can agree then it will be Cardiff at the Ricoh as oppose to moving there in September.

Get on with it ACL I have backed you all the way but you need to help the fans with this one.

The problem is that... also unprofessional are double-speak statements, something both sides are guilty of.

We've had rent offers that aren't rent offers from ACL, and now we have a desire to talk that really says nothing other than that from SISU - in which case, what does it actually say? At present it just reads like game playing; one side wants to talk, the other refuses... then they flip it.

And this is all very daft. You'd hope that eventually one side would call the other's bluff and it'd get them in a room by doing so, but these ridiculous standoffs serve no real purpose as we don't know what kind of deal SISU want, we don't know what kind of deal ACL want, so announcing tidbits through the media doesn't help really.

So all or nothing. Ideally, they sit in a dark room with a crusty batch.

Next best case scenario, we at least get the opportunity to see if ACL are justified in their current stance by seeing the detail behind the devil.

ACL are still not very trusting of TF/sisu they have all the right in the world to be but somewhere, someone has to bend to get all into a position to make the right decision.. I just don't ACL will blink at TF attempt's to force them to react, they ave put the marker down and its very clear .. I hope like you though in time all parties work for a better future instead talk about a destructive past. All have played a part, all have blame and all now need each other as much as the fans need the club back home....

2 potential 30000 home gates, Cardiff and Sheffield United has to be a massive incentive to do a deal, if one is in the air. That's about a million quid in gate receipts alone, then all the pies they can sell which seems to be so important !

If a side has to compromise surely it is SISU if we believe their stance?
1. They want a temporary deal pending litigation and the building of a new stadium.
2. It is the fans of the club, their customers they are in danger of loosing.

i think we'd sell out the first game back, no?

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see a full bouncing Ricoh, but think it would only happen with some sort of ticket reduction/incentive,
May well be wrong and would be delighted to be proved so.

I am not asking ACL to compromise. Just talk but don't sign any deal until the JR is dropped the amount agreed by the FL is paid.

I don't understand why that can't be done. ACL would still get their way but in the meantime we discover whether a deal is realistic or not.
