What I'm worried about is who on the Sisu side (i.e. which company) is picking up the tab for the lawyers for all these court appearances. If it's our club and the money is being added to the debt mountain then we're just making that mountain higher and we don't look like we'll clear that at the moment.

My Guess would be the club, just ply more debt against it, I know the debt hasn't been made by buying players!!

All he does is pick up on the minority view and sells it as main stream. It's getting boring. I do love it when he comments on his job though. Love to know what it really is. My best guess at the moment is running a failing football club but I can't quite pin it down.

I think he does not work at all. All this bullshit about six figure salaries and deals for hundreds of thousands over the phone. A mate of mine earns over £50k a year and he works all the time and rarely gets a moment. Grendel seems to spend most of his time posting on here so unless he gets so many £'s per post from Nick then I really doubt that he has any other form of income. Anybody can say anything on this site about what they do, anyway I'm off to shine my claret jug I won on Sunday.

This was a well thought out response made on CT website.

<<Paul Grafton 7:41 AM on 22/7/2014

They say they are ready to go, dont agree to any of the conditions, havent paid what they owe and wont drop their legal action despite being kicked out of court three times. Every word they say says they want to return to Cov, but every action they take clearly demonstrates they have no intention whatsoever.

next month the Football League will sorry but its too late to do anything as close to the start of the season (same as last year), SISU will blame ACL for being unreasonable (in asking for what they are rightfully owed and for legal action to be dropped) and for not giving SISU the pop and crisp money contractually owned by Compass. SISU will tell us they are sorry for the fans but they no choice.

Why do they need the football league to tell them what they owe? Just pay it.

Why wont they accept the judgement of the JR saying the judge is wrong in law!? Just accept it and get on with things.

Why dont they buy some land if they really do want to build their own stadium? Just build it.

But they wont becuase its all lies lies lies, but thats only to be expected from SISU, Fisher and Sepalla.

What is unbelievable is that people from Coventry still support and fund them and go to Sixfields. No fans at home games would send a very clear message and publicise the failings of the football league

NOPM anywhere, anytime. 100% BOYCOTT IS OUR ONLY VOICE.>>

Spot on Mr Grafton. Nothing new in the SISU statement, just more cheap, empty words and posturing.

You will be judged on your actions not your words.

It's just like bait isn't it? I've seen that posted multiple times before, always with a full compliment of likes from Nick, Torch etc etc.

Its not bait at all. Most threads end up talking about one poster and how much he earns etc. Who really gives a shit??
Anyway I'm adding to the oddness. Thats enough for me :)

I find the level of obsession a bit disturbing to be honest. Yes, he's a bit controversial but even if he hasn't posted in a thread people will bring him up. People clearly lead very unfulfilled lives.

Peoples obsession with an anonymous bloke on an internet forum is very strange.

Really. Your still wondering?

He has more impact on the forum than anyone else so he is brought up more, Grendel himself brings up people in exactly the same way, if he stops posting for a month and people keep bringing him up then you might have a point but while he continues to cause more arguments than anyone else and to deliberately court attention and controversy people are going to bring him up. Of course the smart thing to do is not to reply to him, not get involved in arguments, but sometimes people get pulled in.

Anyone sitting at home watching tv with the mrs thinking about Grendel probably have a problem, but bringing up the most prolific and controversial poster on the forum he has a massive impact on isn't obsession in the slightest, In the same way that people taking the piss out of Tim Fisher aren't Obsessed with him, he is having a massive impact on the club so he is brought up more (not suggesting any similarities between fisher and grendel just attempting to show how commenting on someone having an impact isn't obsession.

I find it disturbing that a moderator who must have witnessed the regular abuse, belittlement, bullying, and downright nastiness to other posters on here by grendel picks up on this...... weird.

Take a step back and look at the bigger picture. It works both ways, if it was somebody just getting constant abuse for no reason then it would be picked up on but if people are giving it then surely they should take it?

Its the childish squbbling Nick that is more of an issue with a few of them though. Take yesterday as an example. Derails threads and puts others off from contributing (only an opinion of course).

Most Blinkered Post of the year I think....

Blinkered how?

How? because no one else comes near to giving the level of abuse he gives, the belittling of other posters, etc. and if you have not seen that, then you are very very blinkered. he is truly, in a league of his own for this.

Nothing like taking the moral high ground by using silly smilies

Is that a smiley? Oh dear.

Anyway, yet another insightful post from you FP, keep them up ;)

Edited to say, it's not a moral high ground FP, it's a statement of fact. I really don't care if he, or anyone else abuses others, it does seem to be natural on message boards, but I was responding to mark being "disturbed" by anyone mentioning grendel.

In fairness I can't abide this 'I'm offended on his behalf' crap. It's like knocking about with Harriet Harman.

I think Grendel enjoys the notoriety tbf.

To be honest I think there are a few who are just as bad and just as offensive. Quite a few post stuff they know will light the touch paper and some of them do this without resorting to swearing. To say "It's just Grendel that does it" is nonsense.

People who agree with Grendel like Grendel. People who don't, don't.

I think people have an issue with his obvious taking of false positions just for controversy. But at least he's more intelligent than your average troll. He's a proper troll, like you used to get in the old days. More subtle.

He's also by far and away one of the most frequent posters, so he's going to attract attention. I'm not sure he needs defending, he knows full well what he's doing.

I think it's posts like this that wind people up more than anything...

The football league will decide what ACL are owed on the 7th - what part of that don't you understand?

...and don't get me wrong, it's not just Grendel that does this but the bit added on the end could have been worded differently to sound less like "what part of that don't you understand you fecking idiot?". Had it been said in conversation rather than typed into an internet forum it may come across differently - you utter twatfucks...

Not sure if it's been said before (probably) but I don't see any real change in their approach here. All the statement says is "we have our proposal ready to go" - that proposal could be "pay us eleventy billion pounds, give us the Ricoh and we'll return" - silly example I know, but we know the two parties have been miles apart in these negotiations in the past and there's no indication of movement. Just a "proposal".

I hope I'm wrong but this feels like PR games - if their proposal is denied then it makes ACL look like the bad guys. In the meantime they are raising the hopes of the fans until ACL are given an opportunity to review the proposal.

Its funny you chastise Grendel for his post, but ignored the one from SkyblueFred which he was responding to. Its funny because he seemed to begin the attitude of don't you understand you fekking idiot to grendel and grendel responded in kind.

Until ACL receive the money owed it has not been paid. Which part of that do you not understand???

I'm sure Grendel, the Sharks and the Jets can handle all the abuse and settle it daan the fackin' Sheaf if it came to it, but the bad part is that it's everywhere here and constantly pre-empted with references to Grendull/ACL bumlickers/usual suspects/phony tony/etc before the people being slagged off even show their faces - then they do and it all goes to shit because the argument with them was started ready for their arrival.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, every thread.

I wasn't chastising anybody for anything. I was just using it as an example. As this thread had turned into a Grendel love-in I thought I'd quote him but like I said "It's not just Grendel that does this"...
