Le Fondre (1 Viewer)

When asked about Le Fondre, and Andy Thorn was told he scored again today, he replied "lets hope he doesnt use up all of his goals" and then laughed. Pretty clear he's on our radar. Now for SISU to do something decent for a change (just before packing their bags that is)

But as KD said today, they have been looking at players but finance has been the problem.

Just had a mischievious thought.

What if Eastwood is still not match fit but Thorn put him on as he is the bait for the ALF swap deal? :thinking about::thinking about::D

I would rather keep Eastwood, he wouldn't drop to league 2 anyway. I would much rather we use Platt/O'donovan as part of the swap.

Eastwood at least looked a threat today; whereas ROD looks less likely to score than any player I've ever had the misfortune to witness. Why the hell viewed his 'skill set' and concluded he could cut it as a professional footballer? I mean whilst they're awake that is....

ROD was playing today? :eek::eek:

Did he come on as a sub very late on in the game as I didn't spot him.

I've seen better players on a Sunday morning. Fair play to whoever released him from the club originally. Lol.

Think your being abit harsh on ROD, I know he isn't going to score us 20 goals a season but you can't knock his work rate, wish eastwood run asmuch as ROD:)

Back on point....Yes Thorn most definitely gave a hint away didn't he? The new bid for LeFondre may be too tempting for the club and the lad to resist. Not sure which player we are offering in exchange but likely to be Platt.

There IS money in the pot (limited though it is) but think we may crack this one later this week....

Likely hood is LeFondre can double his wages at least with a move to the Ricoh on about 5k or so and scoring bonuses.
Sticking block might be more to do with sell on clauses as much as anything else.

I'm expecting this one to happen.

I'd rather use Platt or O'D as a make-weight, but I wouldn't be too bothered if it was Eastwood. To be honest, I don't think he'll ever get the goals we need.

Would never say anythings a done deal when it comes to CCFC. But, its looking promising.

And i hope if it does happen, i hope exactly what Thorn said doesnt happen. Nothing worse than signing a free scoring player whos goals suddenly dry up **cough** Eastwood **cough**

Last season with King lining up for us it looked as though Freddie was very much a back up player and there was a definite change in attitude from the fans toward him, after having to rely on R> O D who is honest and worls hard, we are now having to hope we can get the best out of Eastwood once again. Sort of shows how bad we have got it!
