Has this happened yet or does anyone know when its happening?

I thought it was supposed to be the 14/07/2014 or the W/C 14/07/2012?

Either way its the best part of 2weeks.

Unless I have it wrong even if the judge refused to give them leave to appeal. They can still carry on and appeal it just takes a bit longer.
I can't imagine he allowed them to appeal when he was so damming so presumably they are taking the longer route?

You may well be right Dong.

I thought the judge had to make one more appearance in the court room to announce the right to leave of appeal and award costs? i dont think this has happened yet?

What appeal? I thought the grounds of this new rent deal proposal was that the monies paid and any legal procedings dropped?

Just knock the JR thing on the head SISU, then we can get back to the Ricoh sooner rather than later.

RFC... Expect what to continue? Why appeal? They need to drop this now and pay the monies due so we can start negotiations back to the Ricoh. They know the score so why do YOU want the appeal to continue? #bringcityhome. PUSB

To be fair RFC hasn't actually said he wants the appeal to continue. Just that he expects it to.

The only reason it is worth SISU continuing is if it's having any impact on ACL. It must be very clear to them by now they aren't going to win an appeal so any continuation means they believe they are succeeding in distressing ACL despite there being little evidence to support this.

Now, this will be a good test of the "new, nice" Tim Fisher who wants to broker a deal. Let's hope the recent bang on the head that made him talk of reconciliation and deals is true. If they decide to knock all this nonsense on the head then I'm sure ACL would be willing to negotiate. Good for all of us.

Quelle surprise: "The club’s owners could now apply directly to the Court of Appeal within the next 21 days - but it is not yet clear if they will decide to pursue that course of action"

Timmy (Joy's puppet) just needs to drop it all. Why anyone can support Shitsu now is beyond me!! #bringcityhome.

I bloody hope so, dear chap. This is death by a thousand cuts; and it's so damn demotivating on the cusp of a new season.

Hell, just to think about watching out team run out in Coventry again; it's not much to ask. I've even prepared to shelve my view on us playing in the third tier, such would be the new-season excitement of watching the Sky Blues back in Coventry.

I don't know about distressing ACL; it's certainly distressing us fans....

Fuck me. I've "liked" two of your posts in one thread. I'm so confused I think I'll have to go for a lie down.

Bloody hell if they do that they must be suckers for punishment, when people said the words battered in Court, SISU obviously forgot that they were the ones that get battered.

Unless they like burning cash, or one of them has shares in the legal company they use, they really are dicks of the highest order if they keep pursuing this.

I would expect there to be an appeal to the Court of Appeal and perhaps if that fails application to the Supreme Court. I really hope I have got that wrong though.

Having come so far why would SISU just give up? CCFC is a tool for them not a passion..... and currently I would guess there is no funding of CCFC required, infact the "investors" are taking interest. Does that interest offset the legal costs? The legal costs might seem huge to us but in the numbers they deal it isn't hurting them yet.

This is still going to run and run .......

If the FL get off their arses and make the decision of what SISU must pay (£590K IMHO) then that will give ACL enough cash flow to survive another year i should imagine! to which case then SISU would give up methinks, thats the only reason they are stalling making the payment , its all bullshit and blunder saying that the £300K paid by Mcginnity and Robinson is part of the bill - its all bullshit.

This game is played over years. Sisu will try at least this season and next season before even thinking about an exit strategy.

The new Tim Fisher is exactly like the old Tim Fisher duplicitous and manipulative, alot of the time he has tried to sound reasonable and fair, early on before we realised how much of a liar he is he really came across well, he's just gone back to the weasel worded way of trying to sound like he is being fair and doing the right thing and everyone else is the problem. The fact he has already stated the judge is wrong and that three senior judges are needed shows us he knew full well that this step of the appeal was going to fail and that they are fulling planning to go to the next step.

Just a shame it took so long for the judge to decide against this appeal, now we probably have another couple of week wait before sisu appeal and then who knows how long till the next appeal is heard, sisu haven't changed, they aren't bringing us back to the Ricoh anytime soon, I really don't understand where the positivity has come from and why people are allowing themselves to once again be manipulated into thinking someone else is to blame.

If they don't (and I think they will) it will mark a major U-Turn.. which is rather against the spirit of sisu (as in the meaning of the Finnish word as I understand it) on the other hand I also think Joys tactics so far are not terribly rational in the circumstances.. question is will rationality become a bigger factor than perseverance, the story continues.

"Sisu is a Finnish term loosely translated into English as strength of will, determination, perseverance, and acting rationally in the face of adversity. The literal meaning is equivalent in English to "having guts", and the word derives from sisus, which means something inner or interior.

Let's be honest if they're rejecting even the chance to have an appeal hearing the appeal itself is a non runner. Draw a line under it and use the legal costs saved for a better purpose.

I imagine Sisu will have waited as long as legally allowed before requesting leave to appeal and will now wait as long as legally possible before appealing.

The aim of the game is dragging out legal action, not winning.
