Planet Rock is a must for all rock fans. I've had my Rockblock featured on it and just sent in my Listomania.
As for what I'm listening to at the moment : The best of the Small Faces, and Jethro Tull. Showing my age !

I have submitted rock blocks but never got played. I have tried as my children are self sufficient to persuade my wife to do rock stock but have failed.

I certainly would recommend seeing Tull now I'm afraid. Anderson's vocals have gone.

We always used to wind a bloke up in the office with 1 of our pool cars. He would listen to planet rock, so we would delete it from the saved station list before he drove it every time. It used to wind him up that much he would change EVERY saved station to planet rock! He didn't realise there was more than 1 saved list though bless him.

Being a youngster I am very much a Radio 1 kid. Although I can sit and listen to Radio 2 and planet rock with ease. My dad gave me plenty of tuition at a young age!

I sent in a few and got one on the programme a couple of years back.I was well chuffed as they don't tell you if your's has been chosen. But as for Listomania I've sent in about a dozen, but none been picked.I decided I'd send in one more for this week,my theme is Summer seeing it's been a hot one. Sunshine of your Love-Cream-Summer in the City-Lovin Spoonful-Holidays in the Sun-Sex Pistols. And many more !

I think you mean you don't recommend ? I love Jethro Tull but never seen them live.Anderson has had a slot on Planet Rock playing his favourite tunes.I saw Lou Reed a few years back at Warwick University and he was very poor, but as he was a legend we let him off !

Yes I did mean that. I saw him at the MK bowl in the 80's and then they were good. They supported Marillion. Garry Moore was on the bill too. Great day.

Are you just using made up words here ??
A Rockblock is a compilation of your favourite tracks and if they like your selection will play them on air. A Listomania is a list of songs that has a theme for example the one I sent in had the theme of summer and heat. Tracks like : Holiday in the Sun-Sex Pistols,Sunshine of your love-Cream,
and Sunburn-Muse,and many more.So no I haven't got sunstroke and made them up !

I enjoyed that :)

Caught them live at Supersonic Festival in Birmingham the other month and they are awesome. Incredibly intense and penetrating, really grabs you and they don't hold back.

Liking the record but live is where they really excel.
