Whether it's right or wrong to close the thread, it is a prime example of why there is a split between the fans. I've supported city both home and away since 1992, been to more shit games than many on here have had hot dinners, yet i'm a 'scab'......

I will say with complete honesty that i can't wait to bump into the people who ganged up and me and abused me outside sixfields last season.

If everyone who seems to have such a strong opinion on CWR/Here/Facebook, had actually bothered to get behind the team over the years then this would never have happened.

Even away games are shit now, people who think they have a good atmosphere need to think back just a few years to what it used to be like. Just look at our self-appointed 'leaders' who think they are great because they go to away games and start such witty songs as 'Joy Sepalla is a slag'

This whole episode has convinced me that most football fans are wankers, and City supporters have the team they deserve.

hope you include yourself in that wankers bit

Some of this can be seen to be just as bad, a lot of the protestors and hillers are still dedicateds fans who go up and down the country. I would say that none of this us vs them is fuelled by people on the hill etc, it is more the people who just want to stir up trouble.

It is wrong that any fan should be abused because of their views.

Funny how you "Make public" that I reported a post for swearing, yet Never "Out" anyone else for doing the same? In future you can Shove you're "Report post" tag....I'll go open on the forum ok! I don't need to "Hide What I say" I've tried very hard over the last few months to curb swearing by omitting letters in the word....Not any more mate. I'm going the "Whole Hog" in future.

And this?

Why shouldn't it - the ridiculous post that invoked the response should be deleted for again using tripe anolgies to claim genuine supporters lack morals and principals - it's bullshit.

Again this thread should be closed and posters who continue this antogonistic drivel should be warned and if they persist banned.

What are you going on about? If anybody else reports a thread and then starts giving it loads because it was closed and dealt with then I would do the same. The same as if anybody else who reported it came in moaning about it.

Yes and it works both ways to be fair for the likes of RFC and AndreasB with the "people who dont go aren't true fans" stuff. I know a lot of the time it is to have a dig back at the comments but either way anything to try and divide fans isn't right is it?

I have met people off the hill and they do still get behind the team as much as they can, I do still think it is people who just like to stir up trouble stirring up trouble.

That's the problem though. You respond in kind and insult all people not going to Sixfields. How is it any different?

They can't all be tarred with the same brush to be fair, I know I say things about "people who went to Arsenal" but that is usually in response to somebody having a go at giving people SISU money and is usually aimed at the select few who were happy to go to Arsenal and give them money. The same as all that go into games and all that stand on the hill can be put into a group.

The only group should be city fans to be fair.

For goodness sake give it a rest. It probably made no sense anyway. Nothing you say ever does.

I haven't said that you reported it because of the content have I? It was reported for the swearing which was also dealt with ;) Others reported it for the content.

Its the biggest debating point in the whole of the 40 years that I have been a fan. It was a well constructed posting that if it touched a nerve then it shows that there is some merit substance in the content.

If its because Admin are also a committed sixfielder - then its a sad day for freedom of speech.

Not really well constructed when a thread is started with "they must be a Leicester, Villa, Sunderland or other club that don't care about us fan". I stopped reading at that point as it's clearly meant to provoke people. The fact Sky Blue Kid is so up in arms about this supports that.

Nick going to Sixfields is irrelevant. There are a handful of moderators most of which don't go to Sixfields.

A bit like your own "bulkshit" then? ;-)

I thought the points raised were pretty good. I subscribed to at least 3 of them, mostly about being selfish and thinking protest is pointless. The "just to be different" has some merit too. I'd add that it's quite amusing to be winding up some of the whiny moaners too, but I feel a bit guilty about that - I know it's pathetic to find amusement in what to some is a real emotional trauma.

Nicely done. I can't because it's been deleted, but the first post I replied to had something like "if the miner were protesters [i.e. people not attending Sixfields] then all thatcher would've had to do would be build a shiny palace and they'd all flock to her". I find that insulting, it's intentionally misrepresenting my views to make out that I have somehow been hypocritical.

Whether that was your intention or not, that's what came across. That's what I'm saying, what is a legitimate complaint in your eyes is "tedious and antagonistic" in others.

Just saying it's a hard line to follow, either you let all posts expressing anger/disgust/pity at people with the opposite view or you have to shut down all of them.

I'm not particularly bothered by either, but if you're trying to stop the tit for tat, you can't just stop the tit.

Wait a minute, you reported it and said is this going to be dealt with? Make your mind up.

It was locked because as said it is just another thread trying to stir up trouble, the same would happen if it was a "you are all wankers if you don't go" or "only scabby scab scabs stand on the hill" type thread.

Plus it was reported a couple of times by users.

We have said a fair few times we are trying to cut down on the us v them attitude on here. It is quite sad actually (either way), we are all city fans.

Let me guess - those who reported it are attendees, huh? And he who closed it also likes to take in a game, eh?

Totally agree and hopefully more people will report both the tit and tat so they can be dealt with :)

@ mark82.....Get your delete button ready son.....READ what is written you idiot, I reported a poster for swearing when it wasn't needed. I didn't report the OP because I believe the content was a good post. One that posters could have a good debate about. Andreasb and sickboy were the ones swearing.

Most of those who don't attend Sixfields aren't stirring up trouble, most I speak to, just can't understand the motivation of those who do. United we stand. A complete no-show - and I mean zero fans - would attract more focus on our plight. And therefore surely bring about quicker resolution. Every fan who turns up dilutes that message.

It's like applying international sanctions to a country, and one - probably France!! - doesn't join in. It depletes the actions of the balance

How was it a good post? Saying the people weren't fans and supported Sunderland. Saying they are selfish and contributing to the problem, like sisu etc.

It was nonsense and insulting.

The questions posed, if you like them or not, have some relevance in the minds of some. A post to the contrary would fly in the face of opinion accepted by the balance of the 'Football Family'; I would presume you were being antagonistic and ignore you. Not demand it be closed down

So someone who claims fans who go support a club that hates our fanbase was not being antogonistic?

You would be surprised the people who are getting bored / fed up.

It was closed by me, but reported by a couple of people, 1 of which I know refuses to go to Sixfields.

It isn't really about agreeing or disagreeing with it, as I said if it was just because it had a different view to mine then a lot of things would be deleted wouldn't they? How many posts are locked or deleted on here every week? I could understand if everytime an Anti SISU post was made it was deleted, but this forum is very under moderated compared to some other forums (not CCFC, just in general).

There are many posters on here who don't go but can't stand posters like Gosford and Spion Kop with their twisted logic.

You may not be old enough to remember the Miner’s strike in the 80’s but the majority of Miner’s faced with mass closure of pits went on strike in an attempt to force a change in government policy.

In some ways it is akin to our present situation whereby the vast majority of supporters will not go to Northampton in an attempt to change owner policy.

The big difference between the two scenarios is that at least those Miners that carried on working had some sort of justification in doing so as they had families to support.

What justification is there for going to Northampton? To watch their team play a game of football?

That's a brilliant comparison.
