Squad Size (1 Viewer)

In various meetings with fans over the summer it has been accepted by SISU that the squad was too small last season.

This was due to a variety of factors including SP who wanted a small tight knitted group.

This year the plan was to expand the squad including less dependency on untested kids.

With the comings and goings do you think we have achieved this yet?

I think it depends on how you view untested kids. This time last year Wilson was one and we now have Tudgay who I wouldn't say is a kid.

I think the first 11 will maybe have a bit more experience but I do think we need a few more for a bit of depth.

Who knows though, a couple of kids might perform better than the "experienced" players anyway :)

Not sure what the overall balance is, however I think we were a about 4 'seasoned' professionals short last year.
It doesn't feel like with the ins and ours that we are 4 seasoned professionals up

The seasoned pros could well turn out to be worse than the youngsters though :(

In theory we seem more experienced though!

We have a lot of young players, but some now have a season or two behind them....they need to keep kicking on. Hopefully they have the hunger to succeed.

Last year we had a bit of a reputation for coming from behind. Let's hope we can keep that mentality.

We need a couple more....without any more departures i.e Baker and Barton.
A 5 man mid might suit Barton, but he has to want it a bit more.
