Interesting that you're now pretending that a post directly quoting me, actually wasn't aimed at me. Why are you backtracking Grendel?

I was going to let rip here, but honestly, man-to-man, what you're doing is really pretty sad. There's no insult I could throw at you that you haven't heard before. You obviously enjoy winding people up, so getting annoyed with you is pointless.

My point is that there are many aggressive and abusive posters on here yet they never get singled out as they tow the general party line.

There are others who adopt different strategies but they are often of a very similar, just more subtle vain. One if those I believe is you. Often you are very condescending towards an opposite view. You try to come across in a very amiable way but (and I don't mean this in a political sense) you are the Nigel Farage of the group compared to Spoin kop who is more along the nick griffin line. It's subtle and it's pin stripe suit versus jackboots but ultimately it's cut from the same cloth.

You generally toe an ACL / council line - rarely make football related observations and certainly do not come across as pro the club at all.

You may not like that observation but it's an observation deduced from your posting history.

I'll give you this, it's much better when you come out straight, rather than just making snide asides and trying to hide the insults.

I'm not going to try to convince you that I love the club - that would be a waste of time. For someone who claims to have observed a lot of posts my though, you surely seem to have ignored a lot of them. I'm certainly not in any group (other than a general member of the SBT). If I do post a lot about the Ricoh situation, it's because I see that as key to the club and (whether you believe it or not) I care deeply about the club. It's been the centre of my life for a long, long time.

I don't get to see the team play at the moment for obvious reasons, so it's hard to offer anything other than an opinion from afar on immediate matters, but I still try.

I don't come across as "pro the club" to you, because you are utterly obsessed with the idea that the Council and ACL are stitching the club up. Anyone who differs from that opinion is "anti" the club to you, apparently. I struggle with that because it's such an obvious false dichotomy that either you're a bit daft or it's a wind up. Fwiw, I don't think you're daft.

I don't tend to step into individual wars, but I do bite sometimes when I think there's a general comment that steps over the line. I try very hard not to be rude, regardless of what I'm saying or how pissed off I am. My basic rule of thumb is to try not to say anything on-line that I wouldn't say to another fan if we were sat in the pub. I've said plenty of times that name-calling gets us nowhere, if it's not clear I'd say that to both sides of the ACL/SISU argument.

I'm not concerned that you liken me to Farage. I'm happy to be considered amenable, even by you. For what it's worth I see you more as a Spitting Image puppet of someone like Thatcher. Not with regard to the politics, but in as much as you seem to be a caricature - someone who takes such an extreme point of view as to be scarcely believable, and seemingly delights in offering upset.

You may not like those observations either, but it's what I've deduced from your posting history. And I'll leave it at that - I'm sure this is just boring for everyone else.
