I'd be on the phone to Newcastle getting him on loan before the weekend.

Yet another thread about Gael bigirama. How more threads before we realise he won't join us and stop talking about someone from 3 years ago.

True. It's always either a thread about a player from 3 years ago or a new stadium in 3 years time.

I actually would have him back. Quite liked him. What I liked was he played the simple ball every time. Tried to keep possession. Played the game in it's simpliest form.

Tim Fisher is a bit tedious and pointless, but we're always talking about him.

Why change a habit of a lifetime then I guess.

So Gael Birgirama is not going to join and is too good for us and wages are far too high? Let's discuss.

Could you name a game he played where he actually was good for us?

No I couldn't name a game that was played almost 3 years ago. I generally thought he was a talented player, based on all the games he played for us. I do remember a pre-season friendly (Leamington) where he was 17 and dominated the game. He commanded the ball from the senior players and completely controlled the flow of the game. He really left an impression on me that day, his talent was so obvious.
His position was deep lying playmaker, sat in front of the back four, collecting the ball from them and retaining possession. However we never played him there, I think Sammy Clingan was played there instead.

Yeah he was good that day, that tackle was amazing, if mistimed he would have been off. Sadly agree he is too good for us but if it was a possibility I would have him

It's a moot point I suspect, but I'd have him back like a shot.

Certainly has tons of potential, just needs to get a steady run of games somewhere to see if that can be turned into regular performances. I think he'd fit SP's high-tempo, high-pressing game rather nicely, imho.

I didn't particularly rate Gael but if a deal could be made on loan for the season then I would explore it, brings in cover and depth to the squad..

Yep agree. He showed some glimpses of talent however overall was pretty average. I wouldn't clamour for his return but would welcome him back. Not sure there would be room for both he and fleck in midfield, especially of we played wingbacks.

I would rather we went for someone with more experience and a bit of brawn about them.

Can't see him ever being anything more than an average player in League One. Wouldn't see how he would make an impact on this team.

Ah very true. Pity he doesn't post on here anymore. I miss his footballing knowledge.
