Cov stu don't worry what will be will be. We all though when MR we were losing a top manager and we were but SP is just as good.

I know but it just seems that we are being pulled apart piece by piece. Getting fed up with it now!!

he is but we were at the Ricoh when we signed him and it was before we drastically cut our budget. There is also the fact we'd be without a proper manager for the best part of a month and the new manager couldn't bring anyone in he'd be stuck with what he has.

Some people are talking like Pressley is here because he is being able to mold the club to his ethos and build a long term future, I see no evidence of that whatsover, I feel like we are going to struggle this year, lose Pressley and relegation looks very likely imo.

I would say that until he goes and the calibre of any new CCFC manager is assesed only a fool would say that relegation is likely especially given we are at the start of the season

If he goes I think relegation is likely whoever we sign to replace him (especially as we are an exceptionally unattractive job choice atm), if that makes me a fool, so be it. we won't be in a transfer window for the new person to make any signings, we'd go the first month of the season with just a caretaker manager, the squad is tiny and shoeshring and there is reason to believe people signed to play for pressley and because they were told a return to the ricoh was likely, so morale would be bad.

This will be such a small market the telegraph article will have caused some money on the market. The Star have then probably ran a story based on the short odds with little knowledge. I am concerned that there has been no comment from pressley saying he is not interested.

Lets face it it wont be a big betting market is it by any stretch of the imagination, some fool on here problably put some money on him say a £100 which will have effected the Odds

Its pretty easy to manipulate the betting market when its so small & niche.....

...an internet rumour here, a pub rumour there, a piece in the local rag.....then bingo, Mr Li, Mr Choi & others get their Wonga....

I may make an account and say I have heard rumours that Andy Thorn has been seen at KFC in Huddersfield. "Top Manager if we can get our hands on him!".

The KFC manager in Huddersfield would be in line for Manager of the Month with those increased sales.

He was only favourite due to The Telegraph running a baseless story based on nothing. This is only and exclusively the product of one story in a Coventry paper based on guesswork and supposition

... given credibility because it's a Coventry* paper

*based in Birmingham and using the world wide web to source most of its stories

Are skybet anything to do with sky who are covering match tonight ?
Maybe in the pre - match digging interviews they have got wind of something, that's why they have the lowest odds ?

A baseless story based on nothing based on guesswork you say? I think you've covered all the bases.

But it wasn't baseless was it? He was favourite at the time they ran the story. He has remained favourite since the time Grendel claimed he'd fall off the radar. Face it, he got it wrong

Haven't read the full thread and I assume this has been covered... but bookies odds mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING regards to next manager markets. Seriously, don't pay attention to them.

So often a manager will go as low as like 1/5 or something and won’t get the job. Happens all the time.

I’m not saying SP won’t go to Huddersfield, I’m just saying that bookies odds have no correlation to the likelihood of him going.

According to Grendel, they didn't source the story from the web or anywhere, it was supposition and guesswork based on adding four and four and summing forty seven

You are the one that called it baseless.
You are obsessed with Grendel.
