I bet they're the same people that once told me to sit down when I was celebrating a goal in the Family Stand at HR.

I went in the middle of the main stand at HR once and was told to be quiet when cheering and clapping !!
Told to sit down when I stood up to celebrate a goal.

I know from overhearing conversations on the club coach that some people do say that protesting gets in the way of their enjoyment.
But in reality I suspect they are in the minority.
I have also noticed on several occasions fans buddying up to Fisher at away matches and that really gets my goat.

For me personally, I want to protest while in the ground at a set time (like 35 minutes), but for it not to dominate the reason I'm there i.e. to support the team. 90 minutes of "SISU out" chants, IMO, does not support the team and would go against my reason for being there, however much I hate the situation I've found myself in.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if some might feel uneasy about doing something that puts them in the spotlight in such a sparse crowd. When there is a big crowd all doing the same thing, you can hide in amongst them. Just a thought.

CCFC is still in my heart but only just. If, as one poster has said on another thread, SISU have bought land to build a stadium on, then CCFC as we all know it will be dead to me. No stadium will be built within Coventry City boundaries, therefore in my eyes does not represent Coventry. It will then be time for a pheonix club (Coventry City AFC) to be formed albeit from a lowly league.

I'm surprised you haven't already. AFC sorted themselves out in a few months and were in the Conference within 4 years.

Imagine if AFC Cov rented the Ricoh in Level 9...they would get 4 or 5k crowds and that would rise as you went through the leagues. SISU's Golden Share (or "sports franchise") would be worth diddly squat.

Your fans would control the club and events. Right now you're helpless bystanders. As you say why would SISU ever rent the Ricoh again? There's no point from their point of view.

I know that and concluded as such pretty much as soon as SISU took the club away, but the inertia against doing it is considerable.. I think gradually people are warming to the idea.. if SISU stick to their guns it is the way we should react in my opinion, but it requires leadership & some seed capital, so far not in evidence.

I know the atmosphere at sixfields is shocking .. even behind the goal where we normally go .. but last night was the first time I can remember the sky blue song never being sung once ... I know I could of started it but to be honest I would rather join in than start it..the away games are so much better these days
