In the fairness of debate, is there any comment from the Sixfileders to make any sense of this ?

I just despair... What is the fucking point of appealing?

In the words of Elsa.... Let it go.

It makes sense that both sides carry on as they would have until agreement is reached. It absolutely should not be a barrier. Its a bargaining chip and pretty much the only one SISU has left.

It is not a bargaining chip. ACL stated no negotiations until the appeal is dropped, and I for one hope they stick to their guns .Sisu only know
how to bully people, well tough it's there turn to be bullied now. Tell sisu to hop it.

Simon Gilbert does not agree with you. Yes let's tell SISU to hop it, that should work.

So what do you suppose is their plan Wingy? They've lost and they know it! Run where? And to what end?

Knock over ACL as always Samo .

Turn the negative on them for not doing a deal?

If they're forced to buy a plot of land ,sorry we had to ACL wouldn't have us back, you get the picture , and I forgot ,It's rally really personal.

The only reason to come back Is to carry fans along should they have to build never never land.

They havn't lost yet Samo.

When Grendel said they wanted to lose he was wrong but not by much, they don't mind not winning and probably expected It,which leaves them about a couple of years to exhaust It.

If I owned the Club, I'd have appealed too!

This is not as black & white or simple as so many are trying to make out.

For all concerned, just wish it was.

I'd respectfully suggest it is very easy. They can - remember - not produce new evidence. Only try and prove the judicial process itself was flawed.

Consecutive judges have been inequivalent and absolute in their rulings.

It doesn't have a cat in hell's chance. It's a continuing distressing tactic. That's it. You shouldn't pretend it's anything else

I can't believe the naivety around this .

The timeline tells all.

Paying a mere £120k more to ACL on May 31st and talks before It got to Hickinbottom or his appeal refusal ,would have provided the window of opportunity Prior to kick off.. + £2.5-£3M.

They really want to come back ,no they want It to run and run.

Totally disingenuous ,how anyone can buy It and give that moron Fisher Oxygen is beyond me.

Spot on wingy.

Naivety is the right word. There are still so many fans who hang on every SISU word and believe the latest 'New Statement from CCFC'.

Judge them by their actions.

You miss the point, there will be no negotiations now.

I'm well aware of that point, but if the rumours are true and they are in negotiation SISU may just be trying to keep pressure on while agreement is finalised. It is the way they operate.

However, my own feelings were at the start of this week was another season at Sixfields and they would pursue the Appeal. I think the fact they delayed payment till then last minute was a sign it's same old SISU. Plan A still try to distress ACL.

Can't agree Wingy. It terms of the Sixfields/new stadium bluff they have well and truly lost. Everyone and his dog (probably even Stuart Linnell) knows they won't build. Lost the JR alongside that and again, everyone knows that horse is dead despite today's announcement.
The plan now? Return to the Ricoh, claim face saving victory by securing part of revenues, build bridges, try eventually to buy in to ACL.
Their real victory of course is to have broken the rental deal and despite some emotional responses right now, CCFC fans might look at that a little differently with the benefit of hindsight.

Agree that the break of the rental deal can be the only positive if we return. But we need to return fast. They are playing a very dangerous game at the moment.

Obviously you don't remember the initial Appeal that ultimately produced the Appeal.

Could go either way but 3 Senior Experienced Judges. Who knows?

Certainly not me!

IT's the timeline Samo ,could have done this prior to Hickinbottom, the exact same tactic but before they lost ,maybe?

It's a waste of time, money and effort. Even the most open minded of us can see that.

I hope you're right and we do return fast but I don't see how the game a dangerous one for SISU at the moment. Dangerous for the football club yes, but not SISU. Clarke, Arsenal and Wilson have been windfalls for them, they possibly view those windfall funds as sufficient to finance their endgame for another couple of seasons. Time to explore and exhaust every last avenue. During that time the quality of the squad will be irrelevant and relegation once or even twice won't matter. In the end I believe they will return maybe humiliated, or maybe not. To them the ends will always justify the means.

So is 3/4 weeks still accurate?

Can't wait til we are back at the Ricoh. Then while you're still "assessing your position", we can be posting things like :

"get behind the team", "onwards and upwards" and my personal favorite : "season tickets ordered"

then see how you like it :)

Nick this is totally uncalled for and mine is just an informed opinion, not necessarily correct or right but far too many assumptions being made here by posters who need to be both more controlled and polite.

No you don't post opinion, you word it like you have inside information and try and string people along, you deliberately try to be provocative.

If you don't like the reaction to your cause and effect then don't post. You won't get a reaction then.

You should perhaps admit an appeal at this stage is very ill timed and hardly is thinking of the club or it's supporters.

Do you agree with me?

So if your opinion is so "informed" how can it NOT be necessarily be correct or right??
Sounds like more BS from you. Again!!

As has been clear all along it is the only bargaining tool they've got. Otherwise, to be frank, they're at the mercy of the not so generous ACL.

#CarlBakerDay #ClivePlattWeek #JohnGayleMonth

It's a negotiation. The only party at the moment being unreasonable is SISU with this continued bloody-minded insistence of pressing on through the courts. If they can't do a deal with ACL, then they go back to building their own stadium. The bargaining tool they've got is the fact that ACL will presumably do better with the club there.

At the moment our club is at the mercy of a bunch of people who simply don't give a shit, SISU.

Even with the windfalls quoted they are still losing money. We may have made a small profit this year had we been at the Ricoh (on an improved rent deal)

I don't think it's unreasonable to ask you to quantify your comments, especially as on the surface it appears to shut the door on a return.

If you know something... just tell everyone. If there is some good news to follow - don't you think we deserve to know?

My original post to RFC has been removed by the thought police, I can only presume that he is crying foul again.

I do not recall anything that he has predicted with his insider knowledge ever coming true in the way he has said, but then again my mind maybe playing tricks on me??

We are all fans ccfc92. We may have differing opinions from time to time but all ultimately want what we believe is best for the club. Grendel for all his faults is a passionate fan who I believe was a season ticket holder for a number of years pre sixfields. You shouldn't be so surprised.

More a shock at a simple, direct, truthful and no mind games post :)

Try putting your point across in a less aggressive manner and with less bad language. Remember this forum is open to fans of all ages please. Let's not go off topic discussing rubbish like this. If you have a problem PM me and I will happily discuss.

Of course this ends negotiations, not that there were any (it was just Sisu's BS story of 'compromise' to the Football League). You dont negotiate with or aim to further build a relationship with a company currently taking legal action.
As to Simon's comment of course no one is going to publicly say 'we wont talk now'.

Sisu really like to fook over Coventry dont they. They must have had a good laugh about people saying we'll be back at the Ricoh soon; nearly as good as the new stadium yarn......
