Find it hard to believe he would have signed to play at Northampton.....

This could turn out to be a great signing. Get us home now and I'll get the printer set up for the 'Championship Tour' t-shirts.

Must admits I'm very surprised we managed to sign this lad, think he will be a very good signing for this club, hope we've got an option of another year. Agree with Shmmeee though, if we are paying decent wages for McQuoid I would consider sending him back if we are off a target man.

This signing sounds too good to be true. He scored a couple if premier league goals for Norwich.

Very surprised.

very good signing. I would agree with people saying to send Mcqoid back, especially if that would free up funds to get a decent centre midfielder in

Very surprised.

His pedigree certainly looks some way better than Clarke's before his arrival at the club. Given what Clarke did, you can only hope that Jackson would tear the league a new arse, provided he remains fit and motivated. Fingers crossed

If motivated enough, once fit and run of games, he will bang them in with our system and the chances we create.

Offers raw pace in behind too, so, all in all could be a very good signing for both parties.

Fucking hell, watching his goals for Norwich on youtube makes me miss going mental with all you ballbags in the crowd when we score.

Decent L1 player and could turn out to be a good signing... The 1 year deal sounds like he is using it as a way of getting back into English Football but we can't be picky if a player of his potential come's along.

Very happy with this signing. Let's get him fit and firing alongside Tudgay and we could well have a decent strikeforce on our hands.

A happy news day?? Added to Saturday? 2 in a row?! Don't good things come in 3's.....Whisper it quietly *RICOH* (Not holding my breath on that one unfortunately) :(

Coventry City striker Simeon Jackson has revealed the environment at the club convinced him to sign a one-year deal with the Sky Blues.

The 27-year old agreed the join the Sky Blues after his contract with Championship side Millwall expired at the end of the 2013/14 season.

The former Norwich City forward joined training at the club today after he had a meeting with the first-team manager Steven Pressley on Friday.

In an exclusive interview with Sky Blues Player, Jackson admitted he's seen the same qualities at City which he saw at Norwich City when they gained two successive promotions from League One and the Championship to the Premier League.

The Canadian international said: "When I met the manager here and listened to what the project here is, I knew I wanted to sign here.

"It just clicked for me. The environment is crucial at any football club and the environment here is one which will breed success.

"I trained with the squad today and to experience the tempo and the standards the club demands is what will bring success to the club.

"I experienced the same with Norwich City. The environment and the team spirit will breed success. I signed here because I believe these are the qualities at this football club."

The Sky Blues have already signed three strikers this summer; Marcus Tudgay, Shaun Miller and Josh McQuoid which means Jackson will face competition for places.

The former Gillingham man says he is ready for the competition at the club and added that he has been impressed at the quality in the squad.

He added: "It is good to come to a club which has competition for places as it isn't about the player but the squad.

"You need numbers to get through a season but I will be looking to play as many games as possible. I want to get regular first-team football again.

"The win over Sheffield United showed the quality the club has and I'm sure there is plenty more to come.

"I can't really explain to you the feeling I've got from being around this club and in training today. I can't wait to get started."
