Grounds to celebrate (4 Viewers)

Anyone else see the article in the Metro today about a bloke raising money for cancer research by visiting all 92 of the clubs in the top 4 divisions in the space of 92 hours - nice map / route plotted onto it, and they lsit each club based on its location. Coventry are located at the Ricoh, not at Northampton, but as Northampton was number 87, Cov 88 and Birmingham 89, perhaps he just drove from Sixfields straight to Brum and simply waived at the Ricoh on his way past on the M6.

I saw this.

There is actually a picture of then outside the Ricoh.

I saw the Manchester version of Metro this morning.

Coventry City play in Coventry. Only SISU think otherwise/

I quite liked Wembley as a ground to celebrate, well I did when we won the Cup.

Hillsborough is another ground I have liked celebrating at.

Oh sorry when you said grounds to celebrate, I thought you meant something else........

Sorry, that was just the name of the article in Metro... but since we have no other grounds to celebrate (other than Jackson) then why not?

Selhurst Park, in the nineties, Boxing Day, a 2-1 win against Wimbledon, about 4,000 crowd (how we wish for that now...I could weep) and running up and down the huge terracing when John Williams (i think) scored. Now that was a ground to celebrate at ;)

Celebration i most remember (expect for F.A Cup final obviously) was away to Norwich City in the F.A Cup 8th February 1995..
Loads of singing.. tons of Sky Blue Balloons floating around the stand at the start of the game....
Roy Wegerle was playing superb... I'm holding 2 balloons to my chest, singing "Who needs a pair of tits, when i've got 2 bal-loons"...
Then Ndlovu scores and i go mental and my false front tooth (on a web bridge) flies out into the celebrating crowd in front of me...

I'm off like a shot down a couple of rows, pushing people out the way looking on the floor for my bloody false tooth!!
Took me an age, but I found it as well!! :claping hands:

Other thing i remember from that game is we lost 3-1 and as the players came to clap the supporters , Phil Neal ran across the pitch and ordered the players off, and i remember seeing him mouth "Fuck them lot" as he motioned to get off the pitch..
I was livid and abused him as loud as i could and vowed never to follow City again with him in charge...
Week later he was fired!!! (edit : just checked.. yep..game was the 8th .. he was fired on the 14th) hahaha Happy Days!! :D

Sounds identical to when I lost my wedding ring celebrating in the JPT season before last. Found that about 100 feet away, must've been celebrating hard :D

Highfield Road - I was 15, and fancied a 16yr old girl from our street. She came to the match with me and a few mates one Saturday, and when City scored, she grabbed me and we jumped up and down celebrating together. It felt like I was holding 2 balloons to my chest... ahhh, good days :D
